Been making a sword in my shop and I’m getting close to finishing so I wanted to mockup everything in 3D before it was too late to make any final changes. I’m going to wood burn the design on the sheathe, sand it back, stain it, and paint the raised sections gold.
Still working on ‘game’ but I dont want to show anything until a demo is ready.

Fervir’s been a part of the same gamedev community I used to belong to for years. Over the time I’ve known him his skills have grown immensely. He’s always done good work and given good advice. If anyone deserves to make it in this industry it’s Ferv. Also his game looks legit as hell. Check it out.

I made a book for my necromancer to use. Took too long to get the design what I wanted but I’m happy with it.

I also finished the outline mesh for my necromancer so he pretty much looks like he will in engine here.

I’m finally done with him. Rigging is always like my least favorite part. Doing all of the weighting gives me anxiety. All in all, I love him. Definitely my favorite thing I’ve made so far.

Fight as a magical girl!
Maiden & Spell isn’t like any other fighting game! You don’t punch or kick in the Kingdom of Stars. Instead, you fight with magical bullet hell patterns!
Battling with magic is simple! Just use your attacks, hit your opponent, and don’t get hit yourself! Each character has her own abilities that are all activated at a press of a button. There are no complex combos or intricate inputs or melee attacks or anything! Just a tiny hitbox, a lot of shining bullets, and your own dodging abilities.
A most curious dungeon
The Great Circle… a gigantic abyss on the edge of the map, said to be the most dangerous dungeon in the world. A group of young adventurers travels into its maw, seeking a powerful treasure. Awaiting them are cute monster girls, nonsensical architecture, and the ruins of a lost civilization once known as The Kingdom of Stars…
Pick a character and make your way down into the abyss! Meet a bunch of weird, barefooted monsters with blobs on their heads!
Then they attack you! Because of course they do. Monsters are evil, you know.
Oh well. Dealing with monsters is just what an adventurer does.

So I’ve been experimenting with swappable limbs between zombie units and I think I’ve finally found an acceptable solution. As you can see it’s a little rough because of the clipping. I think I could make it less extreme but probably never really get it perfect but I feel so excited I don’t care.
The issue I was fighting with was that the rigs of both monsters were very different. In the end I had to pose the rig of one to match the other somewhat closely and apply the armature modifier. After that I just needed to modify the meshes a little for the limbs to make sense.
This arm had to have it’s length extended to match the arm size of the lazardman. I could have just made it longer but i felt like modeling some gaps in the flesh made it look distinct and had the added benefit by making a little more sense from a ‘realistic’ perspective. Oh also I removed finger because the lizardmen only had 3.
My end goal is to create a game where you swap body parts instead of armor or weapons while creating crazy/silly necromantic abominations. I can’t wait to get started on the next step.
