& I gotta say, AHHHH I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!  I can’t get over the way you draw the skelebros as so realistic, and it makes me so happy that I was able to find this one because my alerts are so old that I can’t find anything through them.  You’ve made my night. <3

Suddenly, you feel something warm engulf your frame. A blue sleeve of a jacket hangs from your side.

“here kid. don’t want you giving me the cold shoulder.”

You turn around to face Sans, who smiles and winks at you. Grateful, you pull your arms through the sleeves of his jacket. It smells like pine and ketchup. “Thanks. I’m sorry about… everything in there.” You can’t meet his gaze.

“hey, don’t sweat it. i get what’s going on.” He sits down on the porch steps, and you blow out a sigh and plop down beside him.

FIFTY CHAPTERS!!!

Excuse me while I come out of the ether to slap you guys with a random update.  ;D  

This one is one that I’m half-happy with.  The first part feels a little sloppy; I rewrote it five different times and then had a long moment where I thought I lost my touch and would never be able to write again.  This used to come so easy!  And then, I got to the second half, where I switched to Axe’s POV, and oooo, that flowed so well.  It’s much longer than the other part, but I went through it quicker, and it felt so natural.  I think I just needed to get into Axe’s head for this one because he’s such a fun character to explore.  

Also, as an aside, my birthday is on the 17th, so I’m going to wait and read the Ao3 comments then as a special treat lmao.  I’m actually flying to Orlando in the morning to celebrate (and look at turtles and feed a walrus), so I’m in pretty good spirits.  And did I mention that the Mass Effect Legendary Edition came out today, and the timing is so amazingly perfect that I can’t contain myself because that’s my favorite thing in the world.  Mmmm Garrus.  <3

Anyway, I used this update to ramble because I’m on like 2 hours of sleep since I worked overnight, and I’m a little delirious, but I really hope you guys enjoy the update -- especially the part from Axe’s POV.  It was so much fun, and I’ve really missed the fic.  If you guys have trope suggestions or date suggestions for the remaining bois, don’t hesitate to send me an ask or message or comment!

I’m so sorry for the late reblog, but ahhhhh, Edge makes such a hot Negan. I never get tired of seeing him in a leather jacket.  That seriously needs to be my canon for casual Edge from now on.  <3

UT!Sans

Sans is down for being big spoon or little spoon.  If he’s spooning you, prepare to have him basically wrapped around you.  He tosses and turns in his sleep, particularly when he has nightmares, so there’s the possibility that you might end up accidentally kicked or with his arm flung across your face.  If he rolls away from you, just roll over and spoon him.  If you start to rock him, he’ll calm down and fall into a more peaceful sleep.  

Despite his nightmares, he’s likely to wake up before you.  Sometimes, he may be gone to the kitchen to make coffee.  Sometimes, if they get really bad, you may find him at his desk chair.  But most of the time, you’ll find him carefully watching you, his smile widening when he sees you’re awake, and he’ll crack a joke to start your morning off right.

UT!Papyrus

Papyrus will completely encase you.  He’ll wrap around your body, snuggling you AS EXPERTLY AS POSSIBLE!  BE PREPARED FOR THE ULTIMATE SPOONING EXPERIENCE, HUMAN, BECAUSE YOUR BODY IS GOING TO BE PERFECTLY ALIGNED WITH THE GREAT PAPYRUS’S!  Your legs will be caught between his, both of his arms firmly around you, perfectly tucking you beneath his chin.  He’s the type to rock you or hum until you fall asleep.  

Or read you a bedtime story.  He’s a big fan of reading before bed.  

Did I mention that snuggles in his racecar bed are freakin’ dope?  Because they are.

UF!Sans

Red enjoys being big spoon because he wants to hold onto you.  He enjoys the softness against his body, with his arms wrapped tightly around you.  He has nightmares, however, he doesn’t flail as much as his vanilla counterpart in his sleep.  Red’s a light sleeper, and he’ll jolt awake at any noise you might make, and every time you move, he’ll move with you.  He enjoys sleeping on his back, with you pillowed on his chest and an arm around you. 

He never sleeps with his back to a door, however.

UF!Papyrus

Edge is a light sleeper, but he’s the type that would love spooning -- even if he wouldn’t announce that to the world.  His hold is both comfortable and protective, his body curled around yours in a way that’s meant to keep you safe from anything that would dare do you harm while you slumber.  He’ll catch one of your legs between his, and his fingers will entwine with one of your hands while you sleep.  

Like Red, he never sleeps with his back to a door, but he also isn’t the type to let you spoon him unless you catch him in an extremely vulnerable mood.  

US!Sans

Blueberry is eager to spoon you, but his favorite sleeping position would be with you facing him.  He wants to be wrapped up in one another’s arms, so he can kiss you right as he falls asleep, and your face will be the first thing he sees when he wakes up.  He’s a heavy sleeper, although it’ll take him a while to actually fall asleep because he’ll be so excited to cuddle you.  Blue is the type that likes to talk to you while you fall asleep, to stroke your back and your hair while he excitedly murmurs (as low as he can) about whatever pops into his head.  He wants you to be comfortable and secure, but he also savors your touch and the feeling of being wrapped up in one another.

US!Papyrus

Stretch is all about cuddling.  He enjoys chilling on the couch with you lying on top of him, your face pillowed on his chest.  When it comes to sleeping in the actual bed with him, he still loves it when you’re sprawled on his chest, basically on top of him, but he’s also happy to spoon you.  However, much like Sans and Red, Stretch also has nightmares.  He’s not as fitful in his sleep as Sans, but he does have the tendency to roll over on his back in his sleep, his brow furrowed as he groans in his sleep.  In those cases, just roll back on his chest and stroke the side of his skull, and you’ll be rewarded as his sockets slightly open and he strokes the top of your head.  

“if you’re here, honey, i must still be dreamin’, heh.“

SF!Sans

Blackberry is insistent about the fact that he wants to spoon you, but if you insist, he’ll grant you the pleasure of holding him instead.  He’s touch-starved, and deep-down, he wants to feel loved and secure.  He’ll make remarks at first about how it must be such an honor or about how he’s such a good bonefriend for letting you have a turn, but really, he wants to be held.  He’s the type that would love to lie with his head pillowed on your chest and his arms wrapped around you, your legs entangled.  In fact, that’s his favorite position because he can listen to your heartbeat and let it lull him to sleep.  

SF!Papyrus

Mutt will spoon you or be spooned, but he’s an incredibly light sleeper that has trouble sleeping most nights.  It’s likely that he’ll spoon you, his arms wrapped tightly around you and your legs caught between his, and he’ll lie awake for hours after you’ve fallen asleep.  If he gets restless enough, he might sneak off to smoke a dogtreat or end up sitting at his desk -- or sneak off to the shed for a drink if it’s a particularly bad night.  He’s good at carefully disentangling himself so that you’ll stay asleep; after all, he cares about whether or not you’re tired.  He’s used to always feeling exhausted.  

On the nights when he does stay in bed and sleep, he doesn’t move much despite his dreams.  He’s used to being alert and listening out for any signs of danger.

His favorite is when you fall asleep half-on top of him and he can stroke your head absently while he attempts to sleep.
