how come every transfem headcanon made by tme people is like “if you think abt it femicide rapington has tgirl swag but also he (in my headcanon he uses a pronoun set that invariably uses pronouns other than she so I don’t have to type she as often) wouldn’t ever transition and would only shamefully wear makeup and a dress while crying (and being extra mannish).”

like I’m truly sick of the headcanons that are like “actually this violent male man is transfem” because its a failure to engage with both the premise of that character, its an unsubtle signal that the creator sees transfemininity in violent maleness, and it also creates this paradigm i’ve seen repeated over and over where making a maladjusted violent male character transfem “fixes” them by reducing them to barely functional piles of emotional cliches making them reliant on more capable, competent characters even when that doesn’t make sense.

the ultimate stage of this mirrors a sort of fujoshi equivalent to the femboy archetype (not visually ofc this kind of pretentious tme person is nauseatingly opposed to the idea that transition can be effective in changing appearance) but in the sense that the end product is an un-woman perpetually beneath others for her transgressing into sacred gardens and for her original sin of maleness, for which the only recompense is sexual availability and endless supplication and apology.

this was gonna be a shorter post but it got away from me. my conclusion is i think all my favorite characters are transfem and I think that feminine male character you’re thinking of is transfem too.
