i just keep thinking about underwater and how it’s just. such an experience. i’m not joking when i say it felt like a panic attack. i was lightheaded walking out of that theatre. from the very first moment i was super tense and kept having to remind myself to breathe, to unclench, my heart was so fast. in the dark theatre with the underwater parts it feels like suffocating!! like there’s no escape!! and that’s the whole point. i was claustrophobic and squirming and just. films don’t always hit me like a punch to the throat like that but this one did and it’s such an incredible film to experience in theatres
