Watching the Kingdom Hearts III trailer

It was hard. Seeing Vaan who always had limitless smiles and laughs to share finally broken down in tears. He didn’t want to see him like this, his eyes focusing on anything but Vaan.

Being struck by the sky pirate had managed to hurt more mentally than physically. Enough so that Cloud dared to look at the younger male who gripped onto him. Keeping Cloud from running away, which didn’t sound like too bad of an idea right now.

'Where have you been?’ Where hadn’t Cloud been. He had been so far gone in his own world, and not his world. He struggled to find the right words to answer Vaan. He shook his head though in a moment more of silence. A gloved hand began to rise only to fall back to Cloud’s side, he felt as though if he tried to touch Vaan that he would vanish before contact. “No. I thought you would hate me.”

Days. Weeks. Months. Years. Vaan could no longer count the amount of time he had not seem his face. And now that he could, he didn’t know what to do, he didn’t know what to say. A flood of emotions over came him and he began to felt like he was drowning. Drowning in the tears that began to flow from his eyes. Vaan stepped forth. His first curled up. Firm. Shaking. 

Vaan struck Cloud. His first firmly against the other’s chest, then gripped it. Holding the fabric of his shirt in his curled fingers. 

“Idiot. Where have you been? Did you think I’d miss you?” His throat was choked with sadness, but also, with relief.

“For they are coming back. At last, the promise has been made.”

Comes out to play. “Where is everyone?”
