okay, i’ve pushed out the final queued reply, i’ve got my tags set up, and there’s no reason to put it off any further.  i’m gonna start officially moving blogs & archiving this one! PLEASE FEEL FREE TO UNFOLLOW ME HERE. i know some of my mutuals have some anxiety over it, but this will solely be an archive and eventually deleted, so there’s absolutely no need to keep following.

i will respond to threads i’m keeping on my new blog.  i have them drafted, and i will start working on them as soon as i’m ready to. once again, please feel free to hit me up about a thread if you’re concerned i might have dropped it. if i’m unable to continue that one in particular, we can plot a new one!

SHE SIGHS, ‘ this was much easier before my grandmother got to it…his study was.. ’ she trails off, giving a small shrug. ‘ that one looks like mostly loose papers. we’re looking for a little red leather book. it had the pictures of that coffin in it as well. ’ torvi gestures to what the size of it would be. ‘ the ones i mentioned at the signing. ’

         there’s a touch of anticipation.  layla will return to these papers later, but right now she’s refocused on their original mission: the journal. those pictures might be the last documented trace of this particular artifact. they might be the place to  start the search from  and that’s no small feat in the world of stolen antiquities. she pulls the box in question closer and begins sorting through its contents. stacks and stacks of papers, old photos in sepia stuck together by unknown substances... and right at the bottom, with an embroidered handkerchief and a broken pair of spectacles, is a little red leather book. she holds it up.   ❝ this little red leather book? ❞

❝        ‘course.        ❞          without saying,    she would have agreed even if layla’s circumstances were less difficult,    but now more than ever,    cleared are her schedule and the spare room at her place.      there’s a sentimental part of her that finds the start of an ache because    OH,  THIS FEELS SO FINAL    —    and only at the second thought,    she supposes it is.      even if it isn’t mercy’s stuff,    not nearly as much her loss,    it’s all such a large part of life and she can’t help but feel the change.          ❝        okay,    yeah,    sure.      do you know a place?        ❞

         ❝ i have a unit. ❞   for a moment she looks back at the door and her gaze catches, stuck. it’s like she’s expecting marc to walk out and descend the steps towards them.  it’s never going to happen.  as far as she knows, he’s dead. the divorce papers sitting in a folder on her desk  ( in her new room, which layla is incredibly grateful to mercy for )  are proof enough he’s finished with their life. he was mercy’s friend too. she’s got to be grieving this.   ❝ we’ll do it tomorrow. it’s still... my flat for three more days. ❞

update!  i am still in the process of moving blogs. the weekend was trickier than i thought it was going to be, so it’s probably going to be another day or two at the very least. i still might drop some threads but i’ve already dropped the majority of the ones i had originally planned on dropping; again if you’re concerned about a particular thread, please feel free to reach out about it. 

i have a lot of new mutuals that are brand new blogs!  that’s amazing and i’m so glad to have you all here, but please give me some time to check your blog out. i generally like to wait until there’s a writing sample  ( or multiple )  available for me to look at, or at least some posts to give me a vibe for your blog. i don’t follow blogs with no rules / about pages. there’s some wiggle room with the ‘about’ pages for canon muses, but i do prefer there to be some kind of information about your portrayal. 

i also plan on updating my rules as i move blogs.  it’s nothing very urgent but it’s some clarifying & tightening. as a reminder: i do not write threads with non mutuals, i am not comfortable with vague blogging on my dash, and i am practically begging non mutuals not to interact with  ( like / reblog )  my posts.

anyways, ilu all and i’m feeling really good about this blog all things considered, so thank you for the support & the energy.  xx

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! omg. okay. wren you’re an absolute gift to me. i remembered you from when we first met & started writing, and finding you again over on elsie was amazing. it felt like a little magical reunion!!! and i keep being reminded of why i was so psyched to have you back in my life. your devotion to your muses is such an admirable quality. i have thoroughly and completely loved everything we’ve ever written, and every reply you’ve ever posted for me has been a joy just to read. it’s also really neat to have someone i share a lot of interests in common with, particularly music taste <3

ISA I’M SO EXCITED TO TALK ABOUT MERCY. i have an oc that i adore, okay, i’ve worked on her for years. i’m extremely passionate about her. and i see the exact same spark from you in mercy. you can feel how much you love her. which is frankly no less than she deserves. i’ve told you before that i had kinda stopped loving the post apocalyptic genre until you reminded me why i loved it so much, but i haven’t told you that i’ve tried watching the walk / ing de / ad again because of you. it’s slow going but i’m doing it. i haven’t touched that show in years! it’s so wild to me! anyways if people are looking for a cool oc, this is basically an advertisement. this post sponsored by my love for isa & mercedita

as he runs to the car the armour falls away into nothing. for now, the ceremonial armour isn’t necessary to keep them alive. he can do that well enough on his own. marc even takes the time to check out his wife as he gets in. hair windswept and sweaty, face alive with adrenaline. she’s beautiful. a goddess but in human form. but she also doesn’t know him. know the many secrets they pretend aren’t there for the sake of the marriage. no, he could never ruin her with those. even if she did want to know them so badly.

“think we’re safe. no cars following yet.” he reports as he looks behind them at the disappearing tomb they’d just fought their way out of. “that was WAY too close.”

         ❝ we’ve had close before. ❞   it’s unclear if she’s trying to mitigate the severity of it, or if she’s genuinely not as bothered as she probably should be. layla feels fear; she simply doesn’t allow it to stop her.  maybe she should sometimes.  but she’s never been very good at resisting things that are bad for her, and that counts for life threatening situations as much as it does for marshmallows. she pours her focus into keeping control of the vehicle as she speeds them away. her heart is racing but it’ll start to beat a little slower now that they’re out of the line of fire. she purses her lips and exhales audibly, a release of tension to keep her head clear.   ❝ i don’t think we should go back to the hotel. ❞
