Q: that's actually pretty hard to answer. my mind before, well, all of this is pretty hazy. very few inklings of my life leak through, so that makes things a little difficult.

what i do remember is an old vinyl collection i had. i remember it's mine because it was in my bedroom. well, what i remember of it. as for the vinyls, it was all 70s music like faces and the commodores. if i had to guess, my favorite's somewhere around that era.

Q: silence is never good, so here's an update for... whoever may be seeing this.

first off, weapons are, evidently, a no-go. i've looked high and low for a gun, a blade of any kind, but there's nothing. whatever this place is, it doesn't like machetes.

secondly, survivors aren't extinct, just... scarce. i met someone that i've been staying with for the time being, a man who speaks a language i don't. it seems that a necessity to survive goes beyond language barriers. best news i've heard in a while.

this all contributes to the third point i mentioned before; learning the land. whatever this place is, it's hostile. i woke up in the middle of the first night to the man shaking me awake just for himself to go back to sleep. i was going to shake him awake until i realized he wanted me to keep watch.

i stayed up the rest of the night; we were in a tall building, about midway up, so i could see the land below us and just watch. what i've learned from this is two things; one, the creatures here take on many forms. the entity, the metal form from before and the soviet prove that already, but there's more out there. i've seen things that, in any other situation, i'd write off as hallucinations but they're not.

Q: i have been thinking about my situation, and i only see three options;

one - find someone, anyone. power in numbers. whats a bee to a swarm?

two - find something, anything, to use as a weapon. the best defense is a great offense, right?

three - learn more about... everything? the logic this place is operating under does not adhere to reality and my fear grows ever larger with each step i take. i need more information.
