~*~Confessions of a Gemini Moon Sign~*~
“You can learn a lot of things from the flowers, especially in the month of June”
We are fickle, going back and forth about what we care about most because we realize that becoming fixated limits us. If we confine ourselves to being set on something, as Scorpio does, we would miss out listening to new perspectives, which is one of Gemini’s ultimate gifts, to consider the possibilities like a sweet spring breeze that blows from one place to the next, the jittery excitement before summer begins! All over the place, run on sentences, a brain that buzzes from one idea to the next without finishing either, a bumble bee buzzing from flower to flower, a Gemini Moon has a spirit that tastes the white daisy, then spreads that pollen to the California poppy, then pollinates the chrysanthemum, then floats to the sunflower, enjoying the smell of pansies as the erratic breeze blows out the dandelions! Butterflies only live a week long or less, to savor a carefree existence so briefly, like a shooting star celebrity who dies too soon, god bless the fickle fragile souls who just want to play, to get a light taste of all there is to offer and not get bogged down on any one thing.
Gemini is averse to Scorpio for this reason, why does Scorpio choose to miss out on variety? Meanwhile Scorpio asks why Gemini chooses to miss out on experiencing anything on a deeper, more passionate level by scattering themselves. Dissipation, Gemini’s efforts in their pursuits can be so scattered that they never amount to anything, like all the gasses and smoke dispersing into the atmosphere. Gemini has astounding brilliance that could be put to good use if only they would focus! Freedom, the ever-floating butterfly dissipates her soul back to all the flowers and fruits after she plays out her short life. She isn’t concerned with maintaining her identity, which is why she spread her soul all over the place, she’d rather become the scent of the flowers, the butterflies in your stomach when you feel short lived excitement, the tears of joy in the hearts of the most fragile tender souls, the cherry blossoms to represent impermanence…
She doesn’t desire accomplishment as the fixed signs would, she doesn’t need to amount to something when she can be a small part of everything! Jack of All Trades, Master of None, Capricorn sticks his nose up at Gemini, wondering why she doesn’t want to be ambitious? Capricorn concentrates on the essentials while Gemini basks in frivolity. The mountain goat sticks in one spot, hesitant to get up when they have found a sunny spot to contemplate their life experiences to turn them into wisdom; if a Capricornian person doesn’t have any Gemini to balance them out, their hooves will get stuck in the mud, the slush of snow and dirt will keep them from finding the lightheartedness that Gemini uses to get over the frustrations that a Capricorn gets overly critical about. Capricorn gets too lofty about their wisdom as they sit on the mountain top, like a stern Native American chief who sets rules about what is allowed in a sweat lodge or in a ceremony, only to have the Sacred Clown disturb the seriousness by doing something goofy. The Capricorn then calls the Gemini disrespectful, but the Gemini points out that being uptight is holding back the Capricorn. When a Capricorn gets self-absorbed in their perspectives, which are full of divine wisdom in their own right, they miss out on the potential for even more wisdom if they refuse to be light and breezy. The Capricornian chief of the tribe needs to realize that nobody is spiritually above anyone else! Everyone has insights that deserve a listening ear! An evolved Moon in Gemini is eager to hear everyone else’s life experiences just as much as they speak of their own! Gemini and Aquarius shake stiff people out of their comfort zones! Without the Sacred Clown, the elders of the tribe would get too righteous in their advice without considering that the young ones have equally correct points of view. Capricornian types think they know what course of action is best, and they are often right, but can get too stiff in telling others the way things are.
Gemini allows people’s mistakes to be water over a duck’s back, this gift of Gemini is one of the toughest lessons for all other signs to learn. Aries gets so angry when someone makes a mistake, Taurus is attached to tasks being done in a structured way, Leo’s fragile ego gets butthurt over a small criticism when a Gemini will laugh at it, Virgo gets finicky about the way other people do things and needs to realize that there isn’t a correct way, Gemini is more live and let live, they know there many ways to live that are all well and good. If someone keeps doing life the same way, they miss out on new wisdom, whereas Gemini springs from one thing to the next without learning to fully comprehend the depths they would have found if they were more fixated. Understanding the dynamic of every zodiac sign can help us gain greater wisdom in life, as each of the 12 archetypes has equal Virtues, Vanities, and Mistakes.
“You can learn a lot of things from the flowers, especially in the month of June,” just as the pansies sang to Alice in Wonderland, Geminis can teach us so much about all the possibilities in life, if only the earth signs would be open enough to listen. Capricorn, Taurus, and Virgo can all get to think and act like “this is the way it is” and not realize there are fresh ideas waiting to be considered. On the converse, Gemini doesn’t follow thru as well as earth signs because she can be “paralyzed by too many choices”. Gemini confesses that they would have excelled if only they were able to decide which direction to go. The butterfly flutters from one flower to the next, until it tragically gets pinned down by the possessive Scorpio who wishes to keep a beautiful thing locked away so it can’t be enjoyed by others. If only Scorpio would learn to be light like the June flowers, they wouldn’t get caught in mental ruts. If only Gemini would make the effort to understand emotions like a Scorpio does.
The universe takes care of people who stay stuck in their ways, as we create our own reality. You are responsible for your own happiness, and Gemini sure is great at finding it! If Scorpionic types refuse to look outside themselves and become overly fixated in their thoughts and actions, they project around them a world that isn’t improving. Scorpios love a challenge which is their strength and their weakness! Mutable Gemini seeks out new discoveries that Scorpio misses by being too determined.
So my confession is that being fickle is my greatest weakness and strength. When I read, my buzzing mind has several tabs open, at a library or bookstore I will read a few pages from several different books, the bumble bee buzzing from one flower to the next. Geminis come off like air-heads but they are actually the brightest minds who compile many bits of knowledge into cohesion. My confession as a Gemini Moon is that I can hardly grasp information or tasks, yet I had teachers who said that my ability to synthesize ideas was at the top of the class. My confession is that I am a failure at fitting into boxes, my Gemini nature doesn’t make the grades because it would require sacrificing my natural abilities. Gemini is a natural academic, but the modern school system is so oppressive that it doesn’t allow them to flourish!
My confession is that my last words will be, “All diets have pros and cons,” as my moon in Gemini in the sixth house has been adaptable enough to experiment with pescatarianism, veganism, ovo lacto vegetarianism, free-range-tarian, and reducetarian diets. I can go in greater detail about what I’ve learned about food thru experience if anyone wants to listen! My confession is how I secretly laugh at people who get butthurt when I say that I don’t eat any dairy for legitimate medical reasons. My confession is that I think it is ridiculous when people get uptight without even knowing why, many people take it personally if someone eats differently than them. My confession is how much flack I’ve taken for my diets when I was never as pushy about it as the militant vegan community. When others took offense to my actions, that’s a reflection of emotions inside them that they haven’t worked thru. My confession is that intellectualizing my emotions with my Gemini Moon has allowed me to be aware of my own complexes so that I don’t take them out on others in a hurtful way.
My confession is that as someone with a Capricorn stellium and a Gemini Moon, I cannot stand it when other people cannot keep up with an intellectual conversation with me because they’d rather joke around. You’re damn right I’ll be the lofty goat at the top of the mountain because I know I have a ton of knowledge to share for those who are humble enough to listen. I will humble myself to openly listen to you too! That is, if you actually know what you’re talking about ;)
My confession is that with my natal Pluto in Scorpio quincunx my Moon in Gemini, I have experienced the same tension I just wrote about when it comes to getting stuck in mental ruts, hesitant to get out of the dark Scorpionic comfort zone.
