WORD!
#Truth I think there is a fine line between an homage to a cultural and just down right being exploitive. An homage is a respect using unimpaired bounds to honor a person, culture, etc however on the other hand exploitive is having little to no respect and thus using what someone holds sacred for your agenda/gain in some way. I’m usually not one to make a big deal about such things but I’ve always felt an uncomfortable twinge of conviction when I would see or hear others quintessentially cheaply ripping off from not just #NativeAmerican culture but anyone in general. I hate exploitation with a passion, exploitation toward another in whatever form is one of the most rotten acts one can do. Exploitation no matter what kind essentially says that not even the basic common courtesy respect, dignity, or acknowledgement of a human being is valuable. Exploitation essentially says “You are worthless except for my vicariously living through you agenda for you.You and thus your life is some kind of game/joke for my amusement.” It’s sick but there are those out there which live their soulless existences exploiting others in some way or another for their own gain.

The Black Hills Are not for Sale T-shirt
The Black Hills is an area in South Dakota which is considered to be sacred. It is a place where the great Su Nation emerged.
In August 2012 ,this area also known as Pe'Sla was going to be auctioned. Word spread throughout the great Su Nation and people started to come together.
With the help from Lastrealindians and many others the Great Su Nation were able to buy back the land that was rightfully theirs. This is one of the lucky stories that we as Native people have and it is hard to believe that in the 21st century, land is still being taken away.

Diverse Culture Snapback '13
Designed by Joey Montoya
Although many Native American Indian's are portrayed the same, their are a huge variety of tribes that have their own distinct designs and ways of life. Not every Native American is the same, we all spoke/ speak different languages, have different types of artwork, ceremonies, drums, etc. In this design, Joey Montoya takes a Pacific North Western art and combines it with Zuni art to show the varieties in different tribes around North America.

Idle No More UNE Baseball T
Idle No More is a movement that started in Canada by four women. Three of Aboriginal Descent and one of European descent. It started with Prime Minister Harpers decision to enforce the C-45 which would break and remove treaty rights among aboriginals in Canada. The movement has and is still becoming a world movement not only to Indigenous peoples, but to people who had enough with peoples decisions to destroy this planet and human rights. For more information go to www.IdleNoMore.CA
