last night I attended Cameron Whitcomb's concert on his (our) home island...

It was emotional- afterwards, I go to brood about Feelings and Shit™️ related to his sobriety message, and I see my childhood best friend down the road as everyone comes out- I rush to her, and who do I collide RIGHT into??

I will never forget his quick "sorry!" as he touches my back and is pushed away from me into his tour bus by the guards- it left me STUNNED

So poetic of me, i know, but i couldnt help but feel this was my sign from the universe to actually listen to him- that me colliding with him was my even bigger reminder of what he said after talking about being clean for 2 years:

Ive got almost every recording listed in Encora (i think im missing 1) and now im just like.... well now what.

I've never had a longer pause in my fic series since my last hiatus before the rewrite started and I know the whole "authors dont owe readers anything" but i wanna apologize cause like,,, I have a problem with abandoning works and shit & I feel like those who have been following since my original-originals (2017) expect that of me at this point lol.

But I promise my main series isnt abandoned, im just in a "writing break" as life goes on, plus im enjoying taking a break ngl cause writing is like... all I was doing for a while lmao.

Currently im trying to mentally prepare for wildfire season (canada loses thousands of acres each year, sometimes towns & homes), ripping stuff as usual, continuing the HPCC repo, starting my thesis (finally), Sims 4, raising a kitten, and trying to psyche myself up about returning to my family home

So basically, thanks for sticking with me, hope to be back at the keyboard soon💖

I still think that my favorite urban legend/folklore fact is that there are certain areas in New Orleans where you cannot get a taxi late at night not because it isn’t safe, but because taxi companies have had recurring problems of picking up ghosts in those areas who are not aware that they are dead and disappearing from the cab before reaching the destination and therefore stiffing the driver on the fare causing a loss for the company.
