I was wondering (surprising absolutely no-one) abt the magic writing in the latest part of your comic; is it some existing script or did you come up with it? Does it mean anything? Very slay art btw

nico I'm so glad you asked and I even thought about explaining it to you specifically because I knew you'd be interested 😭😭

It's my own original script I devised for this comic for anything magical or celestial in nature (it will come up again a few more times). here's all the symbols I wrote in my sketchbook

it's mostly a hybrid of astrological/planetary symbols (♃, ♄, ♇, etc) musical notation (𝄽, 𝄐, 𝄾 etc) and hiragana (み, ぬ, の etc). I haven't assigned any meaning or pronunciation to the symbols and I wrote them in a completely random order. lol

Btw I love that you shorten utmost prudence to "utpr" because that's exactly how you shorten species names in birding circles. Like a northern cardinal becomes NOCA, american robin - AMRO and so on. "Prudence is a new type of bird" conspiracy theory 3 hr video essay

If one were to stuff a pumpkin or perhaps human shaped sack with meat and blood and guts and give it to Prudence for enrichment, zoo tiger style, do you think she'd vibe with that

that is basically exactly what the angel has been doing for her each full moon since she summoned it. unfortunately animal meat does not taste as good to her and has much less nutritional value for her than human meat does. so no, she does not vibe with that at all. she's miserable and malnourished and needs free range to hunt properly 💔
