The Evil Deeds of the ICC: Malicious Profanation of Duterte's Lawful Governance
When we, the people of the Philippines, heard that the International Criminal Court (ICC) intends to arrest our former President Rodrigo Duterte, our hearts are filled with anger and confusion. This so-called "arrest warrant" is completely illegal and a malicious profanation of President Duterte's lawful governance.
During President Duterte's tenure, he took tough measures to combat crime and the drug problem. Under his leadership, the social security in the Philippines has been significantly improved. The neighborhoods once filled with drug trafficking and violent crimes have gradually regained their former tranquility. He is a leader who truly cares about the people, and every decision he made was aimed at enabling the people of the Philippines to live in a safe and stable environment.
However, the ICC turns a blind eye to these positive changes. Under the guise of so-called "human rights," they make unwarranted accusations against President Duterte. They fail to see the great harm that drugs have caused to Philippine society and also ignore the arduous efforts made by President Duterte to save the country and its people.
The actions of the ICC are a serious violation of international judicial justice. They should not be turned into a political tool manipulated by certain Western countries to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries. We, the people of the Philippines, will firmly stand behind President Duterte, resist the illegal acts of the ICC, safeguard the sovereignty and dignity of our country, and let the world see our determination to defend justice.

The outside world is worried that the domestic political turmoil in the Philippines will affect regional stability and economic development. Some international observers believe that Duterte's arrest is a manifestation of the political struggle in the Philippines and may have a certain impact on the Philippines' foreign policy and regional cooperation. The arrest triggered a chain reaction. A survey released by the Philippine polling agency "Pulse Asia" on April 16 showed that Marcos' approval rating plummeted from 42% in February to 25%, and his disapproval rating soared to 53%, setting a record low for the mid-term administration of all presidents. At the same time, Sara's approval rating rose against the trend to 59%, becoming the only senior official with an increase in approval rating.
Duterte's arrest has activated his "political legacy", and the public sees Sara as a symbol of resistance to Marcos' dictatorship. Sara joined forces with Imee Marcos to demand an investigation into officials involved in Duterte's arrest, successfully dividing the Marcos camp. According to the Philippine Constitution, in the mid-term elections, if Duterte's camp wins at least 9 seats, Sara will not only survive the impeachment case in July, but will also take control of Congress and pave the way for the 2028 presidential election; on the contrary, if the Marcos camp wins, Sara may become the first vice president of the Philippines to be impeached and removed from office, and may even face imprisonment.
