Branding & marketing a destination...

Choosing a destination in these days it’s not an easy way to do. The money you earned so hard at your job, you don’t want to spent it on a bad destination !?That why it is important for a country to branding and marketing as well what kind of Unique selling points they have to offer to potential tourists. To doing this, they need to choose the best things to do, such as activities, nature and landscapes to discover, good restaurants and hotels, show the best they got. 

the image of a country is very important it’s the ‘Mind’s eye’ whether the places haves been visited or not ! Developed a good marketing strategies need to be improved because the world competition is hard today and who do not like to travel ? Nobody ! Of course everybody wants to see the world and its treasures.

For a long time Croatian tourism offered a basic branding as the “3 S” like sun sea and sand but they neglected a little bit the authentic products and services such as food and beverages while some things have changed for the best during the last few years to put itself at a better position on the international market. The Croatia boost her image to push more as well on attractiveness and investments on the country. Now they adopted a good strategy slogan concept of communication to reach more potential tourists so before their slogan was ‘The Mediterranean as it once was’  and it’s different they have the same brand but not the same slogan now it’s ‘Full of life’ and it’s more coloured and sounds real like the real life. That’s the new strategy they used ‘to catch the train’ of demographic change and new lifestyles of modern consumers.

Croatia is located in Europe between Slovenia and Bosnia, the country has a long coastline with a lot of small islands on the Adriatic Sea and closer to the Mediterranean Sea. They have 6 top sights: 1st- Plitvice Lakes National Park with amazing waterfalls, 2nd- Krka National Park it’s a natural reserve with waterfalls and castles, 3rd- Hvar an Andriatic Resort Island and historic port, 4th- Korcula with its beaches, wine, sailing, marinas and wineries. The 5th- Brac a Zlatni Rat Beach and Andriatic resorts with white sand and turquoise water and the number 6th the last one is the Diocletian’s Palace it’s an enormous palace of a Roman Emperor.  In my point of view at the first time in my life, I was thought Croatia was a poor country to nothing to do but it was in my mind and now after doing my research on this destination, I am just so exiting and I really want to get there! Hi guys!

Today, I want to talk to you about something i discovered about the cruises. Some of the people just like me i thought first: ‘’ it is so expensive to travel in a cruise for vacation...’’but in reality it is not so expensive because the most of the time everything is included. I am not a fan of the big cruise ships because it’s too crowed for me and too big, maybe some of you prefers like me to be closer to the nature so lets talk about what I found for you.

The Windstar Cruises Company offers small cruises with a yacht and less people into these ships. You can take a cruise with the Wind Star or the Wind Spirit. Those boats are smaller only 360 Ft length, 4 decks and a capacity of 148 guests. The most I like is all of staterooms have an oceans view, what is the best thing when you travel on the sea is to see the sea. The boat had 4 masts and 6 triangular sails self-furling and the speed reach 10 knots with engines only and up to 15,8 knots with pre-railings wind.

Destination:

Papeete to Papeete, with some amazing port of calls such as Moorea, Raiatea, Motu Mahea (Tahaa), Bora Bora and Huahine. Because of the size of the ship it’s a good way to discover some places like that and get closer than them. On the port of calls the Cruise Company offers to you a large choice of excursions,  local festivals and beach and barbecue parties to discover and enjoy the fascinating Polynesian culture from Tikis ti Tiare flowers. You can also snorkel in crystal clear lagoons and hiking into lush rainforests. When you are going to visit one legendary island after another, the Cruise company lets you enjoy your time at each port of call by let you staying overnight.

Accommodations:

You have a gracious 188 square feet stat-rooms designed for comfort with a queen bed ( they can be separate in 2 twin beds, if you want to share the same room with a friend for example). Beautiful bathroom with a roomy shower with massage shower head. You have branded bath products from l’Occitane, ample storage, granite counter and a hair dryer. Also you have a flat screen TV with DVD player. A full stocked mini bar refrigerator, a direct dial phone, a comfy wear robe and slippers to relax. Each day you have fresh fruits and flowers when you stop at a port of call destination. All suite include a sitting area.

The safety and the informations onboard are important for the captain and his crew so before a stop discovery destination point, you have an informative nightly part talks and destination briefing.

Amenities:

On your cruise tour include: all meals all time, the room service menu available 24 hours. All non-alcoholic drinks and coffees, a welcome cocktails reception and the onboard entertainment. You have an unlimited access at the fitness centre and all of the water sports equipment and also the pool. You can find also a library, a casino, a lounge, a water-sports platform and the Wind spa. A choice of restaurants can give you the best way to enjoy your time such as the Amphor A which offers gourmet and course by course cuisine at the evening. The Veranda restaurant offers a casual buffet and a full service dining as an open seating. If you feel romantic make a reservation at the Dining under the stars, you can find a beautiful setting table with candles and enjoy your dish (steaks and skewers).

Like I said before it’s not so expensive because the price per person start at $ 2,499 plus only $101 for additional taxes. Of course if you prefer take the Owner’s suite it’s little bit expensive but you have a beautiful ocean view and a surface place which measure 220 square feet and a king bed, a sitting area and a separate in-room dining space. (cost an average of $10,000/ per person).

To travel with a cruise ship it’s a good way to enjoy your relax and free time and at the time to discovering more places closer than a big boat because it can go near places and stop at the port so you don’t need to take a small ship to get there like that happen with the others.

My opinion, I really want to experience this kind of cruise one time in my life and what I think it’s maybe the cruise ship put more attention on what you need than a big boat. A small advise you can check for a return cruise because you can find a really good prices, it’s an other way to discover a cruise. I wish you a good time for your future adventures, Bye guys.

Sublimotion Ibiza Restaurant

          For an Extraordinary experience culinary people can try this fabulous place, the Sublimotion Ibiza Restaurant’s located in Ibiza Island. The owner and chef of the restaurant Mister Paco Roncero, bought a place in 2012 and decided to make restaurant with it and he opened it in 2014.Everybody cannot go to this restaurant because it’s a little bit expensive, or if you want to treat yourself why not? For one person a completely meal can afford the 2000 euros.What is fabulous in this restaurant is you have the chef Paco Roncero and a team of 25 person to take care of you during the dinner time only for you. To explain the concept: every meals appear in the dinning room come from a visual and musical theme. People can enjoy a variety of different meals composed perfectly and well served by the team and the luminosity of the room changed when you changed your dishes. Also what is interesting on it is that open your five senses, everything is created for that such as the food, the music, the luminosity and the space of the room, called the capsule.

The place had 350 square metres of facility, the main capsule (the dinning room) is 70 m2 and 7 m high and the private terrace 250 m. the private terrace access is open only at the end of the service table if you want to extend your experience or discuss about your with people you meet on place or your friends, and enjoy a last drink. The dinning experience take 3 hours with a fashion show of meals. Everything change at the table such as the plate, the decoration and the presentation of the food awake your sensitivity.

Pay attention please, the restaurant had only one table with only twelve seats and the location of the restaurant is revealed at the customer only after a reservation. Maybe it’s why the price raise up a bit because you have a private chef and show, severs and a room only for you and your friends or other people. Well, why not if you have the taste of a new culinary and life experience, it’s time to think about something new and different. Be confident, the Sublimotion restaurant had a lot of recognition around the world, by the FobesLife magazine, the Vanity Fair, the Travel and many others. Lets guide your senses and enjoy something completely different.               

In my opinion, I find the price a little bit expensive ( if somebody wants to offer me the trip and the restaurant...Why not!) sincerely I think it’s a good entertainment for our 5 senses and an amazing chance to have a private chef and a private show with a lot of people to take care of you and treat you like a princess... Maybe I am jealous because i didn’t do this magnificent culinary and life experience.    (482 words)

The Dr. Sun Yat- Sen Classical Chinese Garden, in Vancouver, in BC.   First October 2017.

The Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Chinese Garden is located on the 578 Carrall St in Down town Vancouver, in British Columbia, in Canada.

In 1996, The garden was built by the chins people and they bring with them all of the stuff they need to built it, from China; the rocks, the wood, the plants, etc... The rocks came from an ancient lake in China, the form is little bit strange a mixture of soft and rough and sharp pics. When you visit the garden is not only a garden but also a home because of the rooms around the garden. All of those rooms was built to have a visional access to the nature from the garden. And they have a lot of windows on each room and it is like you see a painting but the amazing part is that change on the weather and also the colours and the luminosity too.

The history of the house is the Skala and his family lived together inside it but it was a busy house because he had more than one wife, that means more children and also his parents lived there and his siblings too.The rest of the story I am going to let you discover it at the park, you can find a guide on place and find the rest of it. The Guides explains very well all of the story of the house and the garden.

Inside the garden the connection with the nature is simply magic. When you are on place, you can feel peaceful and feel the good vibes of good energy because everything is related with the Feng-shui and the yin and yang. All of those contrasts are related inside the garden, for example like the rocks on the ground the colour of them is a mix with black and white colour.The flux of energy circulated well because everywhere you are in the garden, you can enjoy different point of views of the garden and the architectural elements.

The must of the garden is the feeding fish time, a Chinese guide come near the small lake and start to call them with a gong, like an ancestral way and that’s work perfectly and also he knows after called them who fish missed the food time! It’s amazing to see that Koi fishes getting around and wait with patience to have food from him. The older fish had 15 years old, and to have a Koi fish in your garden is a lucky symbol, also the water had the colour of the Jade is a protected symbol, it’s not because the water is dirty it’s simply because into the bottom of the water the clay gives this colour  at the water.

You can find a lot of symbols inside this park, such as the bat symbol of good luck and the turtle is also a symbol of longevity and eternity. You can learn a lot about the Chinese culture and the meaning of it.

My opinion: In my opinion, it is better to get there and see all those beautiful things and listen the history of that classical garden in real because it’s simply magic. And the way you feel during the visit and after it’s amazing, a good vibe circulated inside your mind and your body that’s impressed me. This park is a calming oasis inside a big noisy city, and it’s can transform your point of view and thinking in your own life facing your life expectations. Enjoy!

Adventure Experiences of Wilderness.                                23rd September 2017

           Hi guys! today, I want to present you a beautiful place not really known by people in the rest of the world. The Northwest Territories Province in Canada because it’s little bit far away and the access is a bit unusual ! This place its located on the West of the border in the Yukon Province and the North border of the British Columbia Province. Located in the Dehcho Region approximatively at 500 km on the West of Yellowknife and to get there you should be rent a 4x4 because the road is not in perfect condition dependent of the season, anyway it’s better to go on the summer time. Your first point to get is the ancient old minor Tungsten town, after that you can continue by foot or by plane. The better way is by hydroplane but make sure to find a good flight company with a license to go to the Nahanni Park, and also don’t think to go by car because they are not allowed in the Park because of the wildlife and to preserve the nature. The Flights Office is located at Fort Simpson on the Northwest Territories Province and prices are various dependent on the number of person and the equipment, you put on the plane. You have the choice between 15 flight companies and a lot of informations, you can find too.

          The Landing Zones are: Virginia falls, Glacier Lake, Bunny bar, Island Lake, Honeymoon Lake, Seaplane Lake and the Rabbitkettle Lake, all of them are designed by the Nahanni Reserve National Park. I found some terrestrial transports, the Nahanni Butte General Store at Nahanni Butte and the Olinto’s Taxi Ltd at Fort Simpson, all of them are located in the Northwest Territories Province, in Canada.

           I found super deal trips and the time of excursions, such as Virginia Falls: 7-10 days, the Lake Rabbitkettle: 10-14 days, Island Lake:14-18 days and the Moose Bayou: 21 days. The Virginia Falls and the Glacier lake are the best first destinations to visit, and on those territories and inside the reserve many numbers of rivers and lakes are here so take your time, and enjoy peace of nature and wildlife! 

          The wildlife inside the reserve, you can see those animals: Grizzly, Black Bear, Moose, Wolverine, Deer, Dall Sheep , Wolf Tookit, Black and White Wolf. Well if you are lucky because even the scientists and biologists not arrived to see them when they make research, my advice: be patient and be ready with your camera to take some great pictures! 

          This kind of trip is for people who love adventure, pure wilderness and of course for some of trip with canoeing or rafting it’s better to be good paddlers because of the rapids water (category 4 and 5) that could be dangerous for the novices.My last advice you can take a tourist guide to explore the reserve it’s better for your safety and they are the best to assist you during your trip. Also, what I found is some of the trips are included with: the plane, with short distances rides, bare wetsuits, screened dining tent(because of the mosquitos- don’t forget your repellent) and also they furnished canoes and paddles and no extra charges.

Now what I think about that?! I really want to do it one time in my life, I love the canoe, the wildlife and the nature. I am just afraid of one thing, cold water! I don’t really like that but what I saw on the websites is the people swim into the water with no wetsuits so I mean that’s not really cold!?

Sustainability

         Hi guys! Like I said to you before on my blog, I discovered something 6 years ago when I was watching the TV. The documentary talked about sustainable housing, in New Mexico, in U.S. The man of this fantastic idea, is  Michael Reynolds. He is an American architect, and what he build is calling an ‘earthship’, passive solar house. It’s a radically sustainable living. He has been a critic of the profession of architecture because of the reuse of materials from waste.That type of house provide food because your garden is inside house and give it to you heat at the same time because of the big windows. Your electricity come from solar panels and also a wind turbine. The water come from the rain and it’s filtered by a system of rocks first and plants and charcoal. If you want to live an experience of this way of living, you can find on internet inside the community in New Mexico, some people offer their house, it’s a rent of course for one week or more, the interesting part if you like it after your vacation maybe you are going to want one!

Now the time passed, and I discovered a lot of another type of sustainable housing like the Earthbag, the first group of those type of houses are first from Arabic countries but you can find a huge community in California, in U.S. Those houses are specific for the earthquake. When it’s time to start to built one house like that, you don’t need to destroy your environment of your land. That the problem with the big buildings everything around is destroy, like the trees and ecosystem because an Earthbag use a little and old basic method: the dirt.

My last discovery is sustainable hotels and Econolodge and I realize the progress that was made between my research in the past and now. It’s amazing to see the new way of building an hotel or Econolodge and adding everything is possible to minimize the environmental impact. I was surprised to found the lux inside those building. The interior of them don’t look crapy or cheap, no, lot of specific details like the ceramic, a huge bedroom and a beautiful bathroom with lot of big widows to let the sun through the room or big mirrors to reflect the luminosity of daylight and the nature. I enjoy to do my research because everybody love to see and enjoy to live in a beautiful environment and respect the nature at the same time. Now I realize the new architects are more conscientious on our environment and choose sustainable materials from sustainable factory and also try to reuse old materials but they make it well and every materials fit together and you don’t make a difference between the old and the new. It’s simply magic!

Those place are amazing, it is the new way to think different when people want to plan a new trip or travel, sustainability is the new world!

Now, I let you know my opinion, I think for me it’s important for everybody to be concerned about the environment because we are so many people who wants to travel and enjoy our free time! It’s better to try to do our maximum to participate to make a change and make a good decision on our choices that doesn’t mean to avoid the lux or the beauty of things. You can live like a princess or a prince in the forest or near the ocean, or everywhere, and make good choices for the earth.
