Am o wrong in noticing a blue motif in Season One Viktor. Hos mother is wearing a bright yellow but when we first see him he is wrapped in a blue blanket. He plays under blue light and then stops outside a blue bookstore. he wears black to the funeral but Allison is wearing a royal blue. It’s interesting because she was wearing a deep burgundy red in her intro scene. She so far is the most colourful of the siblings. I’m going to keep note of the sartorial choices of the characters. The others tend to wear mostly black/be under cool lighting but their actually clothes seem fairly par for course.

spongebob a rewatch of Umbrella Academy and we all know the soundtrack is incredible but I forgot how well the score threads through. When we first start the show with Russia 1989 ot sets the scene perfectly. It should just be a regular unappealing public swimming pool but with the haunting detached notes lingering above it it is given an incredibly eerie feeling. Then we have Viktors violin being introduced and it weaves beautifully in and out of all of the scenes usually accompanied with a cello. The main instruments I hear so far are

Harps/Violin/Cello and what sounds to be some form of marimba/celeste. It’s a constraint of very twinkly sounds with darker, warmer, and legato instruments.

that scene before Otto goes to dragobstobe in season one is so strange but I really love when Otto asks Alicent, “Why do you destroy yourself.” What line better sits in this character.

I will say that I had no diddly darn idea that Nosferatu was so “heavily inspired” by Dracula. I mean we see him go to the estate agent office and my eyes start to narrow. When I realized that the plot was literally estate lawyer goes to Eastern Europe and gets preyed on by a vampire which then goes after the man’s beloved I was almost in shock. I know that the copyright in Dracula is Long expired but I’m a little surprised that a man managed to pull it off in the 1920s and then Nosferatu just became a somewhat different vampire.

I think it’s really important that we introduce Rhaenyra with her dragon and all that represents.
