"Oh really?" Luca laughed as he glanced over at him. He hadn't cooked for anyone, let alone himself in a long time. He let his mind drift back to simpler times helping his mom out in the kitchen, learning how to cook just about any authentic dish.
He watched as Jensen started to walk towards the road. He bit his lip for a second before shaking his head. "Actually change of plans the library can wait." He said walking over towards Jensen tilting his head towards where the grocery store is. " Tell me your favorite Mexican dish and I'll make it." He started walking hoping that Jensen would follow him.
Jensen's smile grew more as he listened to Luca list of things that he liked. "Oh well, you are lucky to have run into me then." Jensen said with a soft laugh as he pulled his coat closer to his body, before he did it up. The down side to being at the beach during winter, the wind was a lot colder. "The library isn't too far from here, if you would like to go and have a look. I do need to find a new book to read, so really you would be doing me a favor."
Jensen shoved his hands into the pocket as rocked back on heels again. "Hmm. So does that mean you are going to cook for me one night?" Jensen asked, voice teasing a little as he nudged Luca's shoulder gently with his own. "I'll happily bring a dessert along or I could even cook dinner for you." Jensen said as he stepped away from Luca and started to walk up towards the road. "You coming?"

Luca smiled at Mikael handing him his drink, "thats good," He chuckled and shrugged as he looked around the the cafe, "I'm alright and we were busier a bit earlier." It had shifted into the nice lull of the day. Most everyone had already made their way to work. Some others would trickle in through out the rest of the morning.
he shrugged, "You don't have to ask me twice," he said as he grabbed a couple treats out of the case, he could easily jump up if another customer came in. "also don't worry about it, its on the house today."
Holidays with the family took it out of Mikael, he loved his large family even though he joked often about giving a lot of his siblings away for a tic tac. Thankfully though, there was no need for any more large get togethers for a while which meant he could go back to staying with Neylani and figuring out what to do with his life here in Raven’s Peak.
One thing that was needed for sure was caffeine, the witch needed some coffee to help his bitchiness…
“Thank goodness you’re here hon. You know my order,” he smiled at Luca. “Let’s say it is alright, just already tired. How are you? Busy today? If not, take a break and come join me for a sweet treat. On me.”

The evenings were slower than the rest of the day, for obvious reasons. The cafe was filled with students studying, some people meeting up with friends for an evening chat. Sometimes the ones that had to work the nightshift would come in for a quick pick me up before leaving to go to work. Either way he found himself spending most of his time during evening shifts reading. He could sense someone approaching the counter and glanced up offering a charming smile of his own. "I could make you an Irish coffee with our Irish Cream Syrup, otherwise our caramel macchiatos are good as well," he says as closes his book setting it to the side.
For Luca – @vampire-lucadiaz Location: Cup O’Joy
Elizabeth rarely bothered to partake in the caffeinated drinks that seemed to be an addiction for most of the modern mortals, but sometimes she simply wished to sit and people watch for inspiration. Mortals burned so brightly, as if desperate to squeeze every spark from life before their little candles sputtered out. And today she wanted to indulge herself by observing them, the anxious ones filled with urgency and the slow ones lingering as if they had all the time to spare. Places like the café drew mortals as if a siren’s song spilled through the doors, so she would order something to blend in. Although she often drew more attention than she wished, she did actually know how to keep a low profile, and people watching called for it. So, slipping into the café and sliding past the mortals in her silent way, Elizabeth approached the counter and offered the person standing there her most charming smile. “Good evening. Do you serve a good Irish coffee here? If so, I’d like one. If not, I’ll take a caramel macchiato.”

The shop had been busier than it usually was with everyone wanting to come in to get their fix before the storm picked up. He almost wanted to ask why they all bothered to come out. But, the thought of being cooped up at home for hours without a way to get out and he understood. That, and it was good for business.
he smiled when he seen Ria come up to the counter grabbing her usual, "Hey," he greeted back and nodded as he glanced back at the crowd, "Yeah everyone seems to have the same idea," He chuckled shrugging, "It hasn't been to bad, besides the occasional person demanding me to hurry up."
LOCATION: Cup O' Joy (before the storm gets really bad) CLOSED for @vampire-lucadiaz
Ria had finished her shift at The Golden Spoon and had decided to make a stop at Cup O' Joy on her way home to get a little something to help warm her up. The blanket of snow covering the town didn't seem to be letting up, and she hoped that a quick stop wouldn't hurt too much. Sure, she could've got something from the diner before she left, but she'd become more of a fan of Cup O' Joy since she'd befriended Luca.
When she arrived, it was obvious to her by the crowd inside that she wasn't the only one with the same idea. Loosening her scarf as she headed up to the counter, she smiled at Luca when she saw him there. "Hey, it's pretty crazy out there, huh? I bet you've been rushed off your feet today."

Luca never let himself get attached to anyone since he became a vampire. Sure there were some others he had spent time with when he was a nomad but, he never let them get close. But there was something about this town, and maybe the certain individual he was currently with was helping as well.
Luca nodded as he listened to Jensen watching him walk backwards with a slight smile on his face. Since he settled down in town he was starting to get back into the hobbies that he had left behind. "I do like reading, I also like dancing," He shrugged, "Cooking is also fun."
Jensen smiled softly as he shoved his hands into his pockets as he walked next to Luca. Jensen was enjoying being around the other, Luca seemed to bring of a sense of calm with him, something Jensen struggled to feel. Unless he was here on the beach. "Hm?" Jensen hummed softly as he looked up at Luca. "Well I guess it depends on what you enjoy." Jensen said as he turned, walking backwards as he kept his eyes fixed on Luca. "There's the arcade, the museum, the bakery." Jensen listed off a few places he enjoyed visiting.
Jensen stopped walking, tilting his head slightly as he ran his eyes over Luca for a moment. "What kind of things do you enjoy Luca?" Jensen asked as he shifted back on his feet slightly. "You seem like a quite guy, so maybe you would enjoy the museum or even the library? It's pretty impressive."

Even though he didn't mind the cold, Luca had decided he hated the snow. It seemed to put a damper on everything. What was the point of it besides looking pretty? The kids seemed to like it, and some adults but he did not see the point.
He glanced at the window during a lull and his hatred of the snow seemed to only grow as the blizzard picked up. It also didn't help that he really should've gone hunting before this but alas he would just have to wait, and restrain his hunger for awhile. This couldn't get worse right?
His eyes drifted towards the door as he watched someone fall on there way out, he cringed hoping they were okay. He poured her some more coffee into a cup not sure if hers had spilt before walking over towards her. "Are you alright," He asked offering her the coffee chuckling, "Yes that may be a good idea," He said glancing back outside, "I unfortunately don't think it will clear up anytime soon."
OPEN | Kara Sykes @ Cup O' Joy
It hadn't seemed so bad when she'd gotten her things together and left for work that morning. Just some snow, no big deal, she was used to this kind of winter weather by now. She would probably have to deal with some car accidents due to people not knowing how to drive in wintry weather - or just the general risk in attempting when the weather got dicey. Hopefully nothing too crazy.
At least, the plan had been to grab a coffee and pastry, enjoy the morning for a bit at Cup O' Joy, and then set out for the office. That plan changed rather quickly when the winds started picking up, temperature dropped, and the snow started building. Had she lost track of time, or had the weather really turned that quickly? She made an attempt to depart from the establishment only to be nearly thrown over by the wind, feet slipping out from under her. Arms pinwheeling, she grabbed onto the handle of the door to keep herself from falling straight onto her ass, skittering awkwardly back into the building and pushing the doors closed firmly behind her.
Brushing snow from her hair and clothes she glanced up at anyone who might've caught the rather ungraceful attempted exit. "Perhaps it's best to just hang out here a while. Hope it clears back up?"

Luca could feel his usual friendly demeanor slipping. He really shouldn't have waited to go hunting after he was done with work. He had put it off for way to long, he needed to hunt, and by the looks of it outside it wasn't going to happen anytime soon.
He busied himself behind the counter cursing the lull in customers wondering if anymore would be coming in today. He glanced around the shop spotting Lennon he eyed her empty cup and shrugged, couldn't hurt to offer her a cup. He made the cup quickly walking over as she spoke. He chuckled, "Its never to early to order more coffee."
status: open location: cup o’ joy (before the smashed window)
Lennon anxiously tapping her fingers against the table she was siting at, turning her head toward the window in attempts to distract herself from the empty cup of coffee that sat in front of her. By the look of it, no one was going anywhere any time soon. Controlling her hunger was easy on a normal basis, but this storm was anything but typical. The caffeine helped, though her drink was something she'd finished almost an hour ago. She needed to focus on anything at this point, even if that meant forcing herself to engage in small talk. "Sooo, how soon is too soon to order another coffee?"

Location: Beaus Home
Closed: for @beauwolfsong
He glared at the display case that was currently filled with stale store bought pastries. According to the owners something had happened with the distributors that caused them to be unable to deliver for the past couple of weeks. He had heard numerous complaints from customers, the countless apologies didn’t seem to be enough. He understood, who wanted to eat a hard muffin along with their coffee? According to the owners it would be another couple of weeks until they could get back up and running. The owners didn't seem to care that they have been losing customers do to the lack of fresh baked goods. Even the regulars that once came in daily were starting to thin out.
It appeared to be up to Luca to have to fix this, he was starting to grow fond of this place, he hated to think that it could close down do to the negligence of his boss'. He knew that he could bake them himself, but he was a novice at best when it came to baking. He thought about going to the bakery but that didn't feel right either. And, he didn't see the boss' approving that either.
He heard a few people talking about Beau's baking when they were in the coffee shop Luca knew Beau from around town and he had came into the shop from time to time. He figured he could offer something in return.
After his shift he thanked his coworker before leaving and heading towards where Beau lived. He hadn’t thought of a good offer for him yet, but he could wait to see if he even said yes. There could be a chance that he wouldn’t even want to do this. He sighed walking up to his door knocking on it waiting for him to answer. Once he did he smiled softy, “Hi, I know we don’t know each other well but I have a favor to ask.”

Luca smiled as he watched Jensen stare at the ocean. There was something about him that he couldn't put his finger on. It was a feeling he hadn't let himself feel for a while. It was a feeling he decided to shove down again and ignore. Jensen was nice, he could use a friend, and Jensen could be a good friend.
He glanced at the Ocean again letting old memories fall over him again as he watched the waves roll in. A small sad smile played on his lips as he got lost in them. He glanced back at Jensen as he heard him speak and nodded softly, "Yeah," He said as he fell beside Jensen as they started to walk along the beach.
"What else is there to do for fun? Besides walking along the beach."
Jensen's smiled stayed in place as he shoved his hands into his jackets pockets and turned to face the ocean. "Yeah?" Jensen questioned as he glanced over at Luca for a moment before he shifted his eyes away. "It's just so peaceful, and a quite place to think." Jensen said as he turned back to Luca. "Walk with me?" Jensen asked as he shifted to the side slightly, nodding towards part of the beach.

Luca nodded as he watched him, he couldn't help himself without thinking he blurted out, "I'm here if you do want to talk..I mean I know you don't know me but sometimes that helps." Damn him and his caring ways. He was obviously struggling with something, but who was he to offer? He already probably had dozens of people he could talk to.
Luca nodded as he accepted the payment. "Coffee is good for that, and good for the soul." He said chuckling slightly and shaking his head, "Hey I need sugar as well, not that there isn't anything wrong with black coffee." It made his job easier just having to hand over a cup of black coffee, but he enjoyed making drinks more.
Luca glanced around the cafe at the same time he did. There were a few people sitting on their computers, and some talking among their friends. He smiled as he watched them before glancing back at Sam and shaking his head, "Don't worry about it you didn't You're better to talk to than a Karen that thinks I didn't make her drink correct."

Luca nodded as he listened to her as he handed over the drink, "They do add up after a while," He agreed, "But once they get done it feels great." He said thinking about his own place, it was just a studio downtown but it was still pretty bare. He wasn't sure if he was going to stick around or not, but he was leaning more on staying for a while. He might as well make it his own. He typed the order into the Ipad, "Hopefully it is just a one-day thing."
Eden smiled as she watched him get to work on her order. "Not really. I'm just trying to catch up on all the errands that I haven't been able to do this week. It's amazing how the little jobs can start to add up when you're busy with other things." Between work and other things she'd been doing, a few small, important jobs had been left undone, so now that she finally had a day off, Eden was determined to get them all done.

"I actually haven't been to the Golden Spoon yet," He said shrugging, "but I also know what it's like to go to someplace you work so we can go to Jukebox Junction." He enjoyed working at Cup O' Joy, but the thought of coming here on his day off was not enticing.
"I would totally be down for making fun of the lame movies," He chuckled as he finished wiping down the counters. "besides having to make sure we don't annoy the others in the movie theatre but that shouldn't be too hard." Not that he didn't care, he probably should feel bad that they would be ruining the environment but hey maybe they should've chosen a better movie.
He glanced up as his replacement came in nodding at them before clocking out. He grabbed the drink that he had made himself before walking out from behind the counter. "Ready to go," He asked Ria.
"Hey, maybe I am. It could be a secret talent I have that even I don't know about." Ria joked, knowing she didn't have a magical or supernatural bone in her body. She was just a regular human who seemed to have an epic intuition. And she was okay with that.
"The Golden Spoon is always good, plus I get a staff discount there. But, if you're looking to try somewhere new, we could go to Jukebox Junction. Or, if you want something a little more fancy, there's Midnight Mirage or Nouveau Table, but we both might be a little under-dressed for those places." Those were the main places to go for good food, but there were plenty of little cafes to choose from as well. Whatever place sounded good to Luca, Ria was happy with. She was just looking forward to hanging out with her new friend.
"Honestly, I have no idea. I figured we could just go and see what was playing and see whatever jumped out at us. Or, if everything looks kinda lame, we pick the lamest one and just make fun of it the whole time."

Luca nodded his head. He could have convinced the owners to let him keep his job. He hadn’t used his Vampire powers in that way yet, and they would have every right to fire him for giving away free items. But, he did need the job now that he wasn’t being a rouge vampire and trying to blend into society.
“Yeah, I should probably wait until I’ve worked here a little longer before I try the whole giving away things for free,” He said, chuckling. He grabbed the bills as he entered the items into the iPad.
Kodi couldn't help the snort that escaped them as the barista considered the fact that giving away free stuff may not exactly be viewed in a good light by his employers. It was sweet, truly, that he felt the need to offer such a deal...but Kodi wasn't interested in getting him fired so quickly. He was a new face in town - at least, Kodi hadn't seen him before, but they hadn't been in town all that long themselves... "Especially if this is a new gig for you. Is it? Or is this more of a 'I've worked here long enough, let me throw free stuff at everyone and see what happens' sort of bargain?" Kodi inquired, an eyebrow hooking upwards. "It really isn't a big deal, though. I think I can afford my coffee and pastry. Not that it wasn't a nice gesture," Kodi added as she held out a few crumpled bills to pay for the order.

He walked along the beach, his mind lost in a memory. He had gone to visit one of his sisters at college in California. She had spent the whole time trying to convince him to apply for colleges there instead of staying in Texas. She had tried everything, even dragging him out to the beach. He had to admit that it was nice. Despite all of her pleading, he had stayed in Texas. Out of all his sisters, she was the one that he was the closest to. She was pregnant the last time he had seen her. He wondered how the kid was, and how many nephews and nieces he had now.
Sensing someone nearby tore him from his thoughts as he looked ahead. He couldn’t tell who it was, but his senses were on alert as he continued to walk, waiting for the person to come into view, his eyebrow furrowing. He smiled when he recognized the person and walked closer to Jensen.
“Hey Jensen,” he greeted with a smile, then chuckled softly while glancing back at the ocean, “I wanted to see why you enjoy this place at this time of year.” I have to admit, I see why it’s appealing.
Jensen was feeling cramped in his apartment. He had put up all the decorations, and now it was looking like christmas and thrown up everywhere. He did enjoy the this time of the year, sure it brought some sadness but it also held some great memories for him. Plus he enjoyed the doing the christmas baking. But now, well now he need out of his apartment.
Jensen grabbed his jacket, before he slipped his wallet into back pocket of jeans. Jensen walked back to his coffee table, and picked up his phone, checking it briefly to find no new messages before he slipped that into his jacket pocket and headed for the door, grabbing his keys on the way out.
It was getting colder now, not that it bothered Jensen much. He decided to head down towards the beach. He knew not many people would be there at the moment, with the weather being what it was. But Jensen enjoyed the beach, it was his safe pace. Somewhere he could clear his head, and ignore the world around him. If only for a moment.
Jensen smiled to himself, as he stepped on to the beach. He was right, there weren't many people around. So it was quite. Jensen pulled his jacket closer to his body, as he felt the wind coming off the ocean. He stopped and took a breath, enjoy the smell of the salt before he head down the beach. Jensen frowned slightly as he spotted a figure a little ways up from him, Jensen stopped for a moment. Watching him, before he shook his head as he started to walk again.
Jensen's smile returned easily as he recognized who was in front of him. "Hello Luca." Jensen said as he stopped near the male. "Surprised to find you down here, if I recall you said it was too cold this time of the year."

Luca caught his tone, he glanced over at him as he made his drink. He really didn't give off the vibe that he got annoyed at a barista asking what size he wanted. "Is...everything okay?" He asked. He wasn't expecting to hear this dude's life story, but maybe he just needed to vent. Not that he knew Luca at all to do that again, it wasn't expected, maybe this was his MO.
Luca nodded as he gave him his drink, "No problem," He said smiling slightly. "Yeah of course, what kind of drinks do you like?" He asks as he types his order into the iPad, "That will be $4.55." He said glancing up at him and nodding. He appreciated his attempt to lighten the mood. "We were earlier, it slowed down a little bit though." He said as he glanced at the other customers enjoying their drinks and back at him offering a small smile.

Where:Syreni Sands
Who: Closed-Jensen
The holidays were always Luca’s favorite time of the year. He loved spending time with his family. Luca made many of his favorite memories around this time of year. Now, it just reminded him of what he had left behind. Years had passed since his transformation, years since he had to abandon them, but the pain remained. Was it supposed to get easier as time went by? He guessed time would only tell.
He felt like The Grinch hiding away in his flat. He only went out for work, and when he needed to feed. The whole town had decorated for the holidays, and he wanted to avoid seeing it. But there was also so much of his flat he could handle. He needed to socialize with someone, anyone. He glanced down at his phone, his finger hovering over the call button. Jensen had said to call him for a tour. Would it be awkward? They hadn’t seen much of each other since that day. It was mainly Luca’s fault that the store was busy with the holiday drinks, and people wanting to spend time indoors.
Luca didn’t mind the cold as much as he thought. For someone who spent most of his life in Texas, you’d think he would hate it. He wasn’t sure if it was just him, or the fact he was a vampire now. He would have to ask someone. For now, he got up and pocketed the phone. He grabbed his coat. He could use the fresh air.
He walked out of his flat in the direction of the beach. There were plenty of people out and about today. He could feel his heartache, and he continued on despite wanting to turn around and ignore it all, he continued. Once he got to the beach he stopped looking out into the ocean. It was one of the few places he had checked out yet. He told himself that he would once the weather got nicer out. But, maybe Jensen had a point of liking it out here. It was nice and peaceful. He kept his eyes on the ocean as he started walking alongside it before finally tearing his eyes off of it staring ahead and keeping his eyes out for another figure.
