Ok I’ve decided to rewrite the first arc of my klatherine story Deal With the Devil. Originally the antagonist of the arc was Katherine’s father, but now I think I have someone better, hopefully. I haven’t seen it done yet in any other story. Granted I only read Klaus stories so it might have been. Actually there’s a high chance it has. Nothing is ever original these days anyway. We all take from different stories we’ve read either knowingly or unknowingly. So, since it seems like at least a few people want to read it I’ll rewrite it.

Klaus makes a deal with Katherine after Silas drained the cure out of her. If she helped him create hybrids he would make her a vampire again with the help of a secret witch coven that works for him. I still have 9 completed chapters of the story in my notes, but haven’t had the muse to write any more of it. Also you’re the first person to send me an ask. So thanks.

So I was writing my Klaus x Katherine story (deal with the devil, on ao3, by WolfKing1026) and as I was writing I thought “this seems familiar”. So I scoured the interwebs and wouldn’t you know it I came across a story I had read like 10 years ago on ff.net called Miss Me? By Sweet Little Darling and like the whole first arc I had for my story come from that one. Now I have to delete my story. I could just rewrite it but my muse for this story has been utterly destroyed.

The moment they started Olicity arrow went down hill. And am I the only one who thinks Oliver had more chemistry with Nyssa than any other female character? Wouldn’t have minded them getting together. Never finished the show might rewatch.

And if I was any of the Mikaelson’s I would have left the second the dagger was removed. Klaus was wrong for what he did to them. I’m a Klaus fan, but I don’t pretend that he was perfect. The guy was a monster who didn’t deserve anyone’s loyalty and especially didn’t deserve redemption. Unlike most Klaus fans I’m willing to admit that.

Expectation: “A hybrid would be deadlier than any werewolf or vampire.”

Reality: Matt lived longer than Klaus’s hybrid pack.

The Klaus we are introduced to and the Klaus we come to know have a very big difference. The Klaus we know is a paranoid man with massive trust issues. But the Klaus we are initially introduced to doesn’t seem to have that many trust issues. I mean this is the guy who trusted witches to remove his consciousness from his original body and place it into another. While also trusting those same witches to protect his unoccupied body. We know that he’s done this multiple times in the past because Elijah says it’s one of his favorite tricks. Which means that he was doing this while also being on the run from Mikael. He trusted numerous witches in the past to perform this task while also trusting them to keep his body safe from Mikael. Something which the Klaus we know today would never do. That doesn’t sound like the Klaus we know. Anyway, do you think he had kids outside of his original body? Question that needs answering.

The writers of this show didn’t put any thought into hybrids did they? Why can’t hybrids be killed by wooden stakes when Klaus can still be killed by white oak? If hybrids are immune to stakes then Klaus should be immune to white oak! Why can hybrids be compelled? Their werewolf side should nullify all compulsion. Why are they immune to fire when vampires and werewolves aren’t? They should be immune or highly resistant to vervain and wolfsbane but instead both hurt them the same as if they’re a regular vampire and werewolf. Yet they can walk in the sun and can control their transformation. But if they transform into a wolf they still lose control and become mindless beast.(season 4? When Rebekah compels Tyler in the school). Their vampire side should allow them to have control over what they do. Klaus has control and can remember what he did while he was a wolf.

I’m not saying that hybrids shouldn’t have any weaknesses. I think their weaknesses should be decapitation, heart extraction, fire and white oak or a close relative of it. The reason I say a close relative is because Klaus can still be killed by white oak but regular wood doesn’t harm him like it does his siblings. Tyler stabbed Klaus in the heart through his back in TO and while it obviously hurts him it didn’t incapacitate him like it did Elijah in season 2. So, if you don’t want Klaus to be immune to white oak but don’t want hybrids to be killed by regular wooden stakes then the only way to rectify that is by making them be killed by white oak itself like Klaus or a relative of white oak.

This was long winded and I’m probably thinking to deeply about this but I can’t help it.
