How fitting that the first act we photographed in 2014 should also be the last! In the 6 short months since Yung Lean's last visit to Vancouver, the Swedish Cloud Rapper has immeasurably blown up, taking on a far larger venue, tour, and now touting a debut album. Unknown Memory is still one of this publications favourite records. A very large thank-you to ending our year on a high note with an amazing show and wonderful group polaroid!

Formerly Gravity Boys Shield Gang, the Stockholm group formed just a year prior in 2013. Comprised of Bladee, Ecco2K, Thaiboy Digital, & Whitearmour, the often collaborations with SBE (Sad Boys Entertainment) saw them joining in on Yung Lean's Unknown Memory Tour as opening acts.

An angel in human form, My Brightest Diamond graced Vancouver's now defunct Electric Owl. The Detroit singer-songwriter was touring in support of her fifth studio album This Is My Hand. Experimental electronic musician from New York, Son Lux headlined the Biltmore Cabaret September 23rd with opener, and fellow New York artist, Helado Negro. Their hot single at the time, "Lost it to Trying" has since been completely butchered by Fall Out Boy in an atrocious attempt at sampling. The sampled track does however make it so much more satisfying when going back and listening to the original.
