just randomly remembered that 2 months ago, we had to design our own whole version of the alphabet. the moment our professor said we could do fanart, it was so over. i was pretty unmotivated about drawing at the time, so i decided to weaponize my hyperfixation against myself and made a hypmic themed alphabet just so i can finish this damn plate

not gonna upload the whole thing but here are my favorites!

i love W and Y the most. ramuda is just really fun to draw in general, and i love jiro's derpy expression that i accidentally made lol

there was a conversation between ichiro and kuukou in youthful riot, the nb track, where kuukou, after an attempt at being coerced into alcohol and some even less savoury stuff, expressed how he wanted to kick their pimp’s ass and save the girls from their situation, but ichiro told him that they can’t act recklessly in case it makes their situation worse

kuukou conceded to his point, saying that was a rather adult way of thinking but ichiro didn’t want to act bc he didn’t want any of the responsibility to come back at him if their situation does worsen bc he tried to help (to which kuukou hmms indecipherably, but he’s def not pleased lol)

i took the long way around to this lol but that conversation comes to mind whenever i wonder about what happened to yuika and her older brother monden, someone ichiro knew working under mozuku. like bc ichiro took down mozuku and stairway to heaven, morden would have presumably lost his means to provide for yuika and i highly doubt he had a conveniently placed samatoki to be the other option lol

like i just hope they’re alright, bc that would be a lot of responsibility and guilt on ichiro’s heart if something did happen to them 😕

there’s evidence suggesting kuukou did, in fact, get to go out with ichiro to the theme park but i hope whenever we get any of the manga runs back, we get to see it 🥺🥺🥺 (bc i have a mighty need to see kuukou with the tea cups i think kuukou would love the tea cups ride and would be abnormally obsessed with it much to ichiro’s chagrin LOL)

i absolutely love how in the manga adaptation of bat vs mtr the mangaka illustrates kukou being knocked out while standing in a reference to musashibou benkei's standing death... KUKOU THE ICON THAT YOU ARE

jyushi’s council of monsters!!!!

these monsters are actually all tengu!!! these tengu in particular are said to have fought for minamoto no yoshitsune, a very famous samurai known for his victories that unified japan at one point. the tengu here granted minamoto no yoshitsune the skills and knowledge to defeat benkei, an equally famous warrior monk, who swore his allegiance to minamoto no yoshitsune thereafter his loss. here’s the art of the battle!!!

from left to right in jyushi’s council of tengu, we have saburo of iizuka mountain, sagamibo of shiramine, sojobo of mount kurama, and hokibo of mount daisen.

these tengu reside in different regions of japan, likely to symbolise what this samurai has helped accomplish, and it’s interesting we have jyushi depicted here as said leader who had brought japan together 👀

something that’s been making me cry about ichiro’s high school sports fest dream is that sports fests in jp usually take place in october. jp schools usually do this thing where they rotate uniforms based on the solstice, and october falls in the winter season, which lines up with ichiro and everyone else’s uniforms in that event

except for kuukou lmao!!!!! no blazer no tie barely buttoned up he’s just exposed like goddamn ichiro!!!! 😭😭😭
