going into my baby's room in the morning, opening the blinds and softly cooing at them as they grumble sleepily. getting them sat up so i can dress them for the day as they sleepily whine and fuss. scooping them into my lap and brushing their hair, giving them soft kisses as i speak softly about our plans for the day to help them wake up.
"are you with me, baby? good, good," another kiss, "let's go get some yummy breakfast and watch something fun, hm? you wanna pick today, or me?"
