I do feel like it's kind of a pain to be a lesbian who likes g/t...like yeah there's almost no f/f, and the two camps who like it are usually either exclusively into fetish or they're vehemently anti fetish. Even a lot of other lesbians seem to have a kneejerk response to the sexualization of women (completely fair tbh) that makes them extremely suspicious of any sexual depictions of female characters. There's nothing inherently wrong with any of the camps I mentioned, but sometimes I do have an interest in depicting sexual situations between two women without it being some kind of "statement." I just make everything g/t, and I'm an adult and a lesbian lol

I wonder if the intense shame of liking g/t has gotten better for younger people as it's more solidified itself as a fandom? Or if it's gotten worse because of acceptance of its fetish equivalent (not that that's a bad thing, but obviously if you post about g/t people are more likely to understand what gts fetish is). When I was in college I initially told my girlfriend it was a fetish thing to soft launch the much stranger truth that it's just a fictional trope I think about a lot lol
