             🕷   PETER NOTES    easily that the other  cringes   at the mention of norman,  curious as to why.  what norman potentially has done in the symbiotes   HOME UNIVERSE   to cause such a thing.  norman’s done a lot of things here but they’ve always turned out mostly okay,  however upon finding out about the   other versions   of himself that    MILES   had met  . .  he had an inkling that not all of those like himself were lucky.  not everyone gets the grace of most things to end okay,  or at least have a rapport and conversation.

❝    oh just   . .   well   he just went back to normal about   SIX HOURS AGO   and the usual rest period so   HIS SON   can chill him out and i get the all clear   –   and that he’s fine and not going to change again is   SIX DAYS.   so its pretty much exactly what it means.  

we can’t go bother a guy who’s volatile and can turn into something bigger than this house y’know.  that wouldn’t be safe for anyone.   ❞  he shrugs,  scratching the back of his neck while he cracks his fingers with the freed hand.  he probably should have   PHRASED   that better but explaining was better than being vague and saying   nothing   to the other.

however when the symbiote covered host begins talking about octavius he pauses,  squinting at all of it.  okay.  that didn’t exist here   –   sounds kind of snazzy though,  though   INTERESTING  since a version of him   WORKS   for octavius.  or did.  depends on if that version of the octopus was a bit off their rocker or not.     

❝     well    . .   liv doesn’t have a company here.  she’s more of a   DANGEROUS   entity that used to be under kingpin’s employ and kind of puppetting him all the same   —   peter parker on the other hand  . .    ❞  he trails off,  glancing off a tiny bit.

woo boy   ;   letting himself known wasn’t a huge deal these days since   MOST   knew who he was but this guy doesn’t know.  he’d be screwing his alternate up big time but  . .  venom seems to be a chill dude,  for now at least.   WHAT COULD GO WRONG  ??    so with that the blonde grips the top of his mask,  pulling it free and sheepishly smiles.

“Back to normal?” he questions, very obviously confused about the whole thing. “I-- What?”

          Your father? How is that possible? Venom questions, just as confused as Harry is at this point. While Harry doesn’t have an answer, he is glad to hear the other again. He’d been worried about the prolonged silence.

“Our Norman Osborns must be.... drastically different people. My-- The Norman I know might have a temper, but he’s not able to do that.” Not that Harry is aware of, at least. God, that’s a thought that’ll keep him up at night.

“Liv?” He nearly protests, but when Spidey goes on to call this Liv dangerous, he puts the pieces together. “My world’s Octavius is an Otto. But he’s-- He’s dangerous too. Pete-- He, uh, doesn’t work with him anymore but it was worth a shot to mention him.”

Perking up, glad that the other masked man knows of Peter, Harry listens closely, trying to put the news footage of Otto tossing his father off his own building out of his mind. But the shock that follows the man’s unmasking shakes him to the core.

“P--Peter? Peter Parker?” Without thinking, he steps into the other’s space, staring wide-eyed beneath the mask at the blond’s eerily familiar face, hands half-raised as though he wants to touch him to be sure it’s really him. “Shit, man, what the hell?”

It’s-- All of this is a lot to take in, to deal with. Moving from their frozen location, his hands fly up to the top of his head as though clasping them together there is the only thing capable of holding himself together. 

Slowly, Harry lets his mask fall away, wanting to look at this alternate Peter with his own two eyes, secret identity be damned.

“How-- I can’t believe it’s you.”

Venom basks in the warmth that fills Harry’s chest. He’s yet to have reunited with his friends back in his own dimension, but this... This feels almost as good, and even brings a few tears to his eyes--though he’s quick to brush those away, laughing in a dumbfounded manner.
