Into the sunset聽
- I鈥檝e rendered this landscape in Carrara, using realistic sky options to bring in the sun. The boat was built in Hexagon.

This was a test to see which figure mix I preferred: based on Stephanie 5, the choices were聽either adding 20% Jasmine or 25% Amy (both by 3D Universe). Switch between the images to see the subtle differences.

I made a wine glass in Carrara's spline modeller and tried to render it in a nice light. I discovered the presets that Carrara offers in the pack shot category. Accidentally the stem ended up underneath the water surface.

I was following a tutorial that came as part of the Hexagon manual. This is my second attempt at vertex modelling a creature from a cube. It's amazing how powerful dynamic extrusions are, and what you can do with the tweak tool.

The Sketch Render option in Carrara can produce marvellous designs. I was wondering what an animation with this option would look like - so I鈥檝e made one: Stonemason鈥檚 Urban Sprawl, rigged with a motion path on which the camera glides through the streets.
I must admit I wasn鈥檛 that impressed: this looks much better for still images, besides there was a bit of rendering trouble here and there. Here鈥檚 the same scene, rendered in photorealistic mode:聽https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UR75KKgkFME

I was experimenting with the dynamic hair feature in Carrara: this hairy blue ball rendered for several days on an old laptop, but the results are rather nice.

I鈥檝e animated the DAZ M4 skeleton with a few aniblocks, then I鈥檝e draped a sheet over him in Marvelous Designer. To finish it off I added some spooky fog in Carrara.聽
