Misconceptions About Verve
I came across a post the other day in which someone went on a long rant about Verve being a scam and how they weren't dumb enough to fall for it. I was tempted to comment on the post and correct all of the arguments they made that were either not completely on the mark or just weren't true at all. Instead, I decided to post this, with my take on all of their arguments.
1. They talk about how Verve/ Vemma suckers in "youngins" because they are "not smart enough to know better." Now I know that we call it the young people's revolution and all, but there are actually a number of older brand partners, considering that Vemma has a number of product lines for people of all ages. This opportunity is for anyone with an open mind, and the motivation to take it and make it successful.
2. They talk about how the Vemma branded BMW, Mercedes Benz, or Mini Cooper is some sort of clever ploy to get people to join the scam. In all fairness, I'm sure getting the car is what motivates much of the younger crowd to go as hard as they do and work as hard as they do, but last time I checked scammers don't typically hand out cars to people.
3. They also talk about how they only pay the lease, and how you can't get your own license plate for it or paint over it, and so on. Last time I checked, anyone successful enough to be a part of the platinum club is more than happy to drive around in a BMW or Mercedes that has a Verve or Vemma license plate. Also, why would anyone complain about having the monthly lease payment on a brand new car fully payed for by the company? Please enlighten me as to what other company does this.
4. They say that Dr. Oz only supports Verve and Vemma because he's payed a lot of money to do so. However, they don't seem to realize that in his contract with Oprah, Dr. Oz is not allowed to be payed for endorsing products on his show. That's strange considering that our product has been featured on his show twice in the last year, isn't it?
5. They seemed to be under the impression that Verve does not contain sugar or caffeine, and complain that it has both. It's an energy drink, why would anyone think there was no caffeine in it? It's considered healthy because it contains a wide variety of vitmains and minerals, and is essentially a liquid multivitamin/antioxidant, not because it doesn't contain sugar.
6. They also mention that the line that says "insanely healthy energy" has not been evaluated by the FDA. Let's take a second to consider that the FDA approves things all the time with side effects that can be dangerous or even fatal. However, everyone knows that our bodies need vitamins and minerals, which you can clearly see are in all of Vemma's products by reading the ingredients, so it's quite clear that it's good for us.
7. They ask why Verve and Vemma is not all that well known in some areas if it's been around for 8 years. When you think about it, 8 years is not all that long of a time if you consider that Red Bull has been around since 1987 (26 years). Also, Vemma does not spend millions of dollars a year on advertisements the way other companies do, but instead spends it on people who market and sell the products while building the business.
Information is key.
