This post is to help a dear friend and fellow artist, whose blog has been nuked away by tumblr without any notice or reason at all. She just woke up one morning and all her art and posts were gone.

I'm talking about @bg3shitpostandfanart, her derpy Durge is one of the cutest dragonborns I've ever seen, she makes hilarious durgetash mini-comics and even spicy ones, she also brilliantly animates her art and the backgrounds she draws are breathtaking. She didn't have any uncensored nsfw posts on her blog and she hasn't been flagged for anything, so I'm making this post on her behalf to ask if anybody knows how this could be possible, what could be done (she already contacted the Tumblr support days ago and is waiting for a reply) and if you have any advice on the matter!

She wanted to set up commissions soon but of course this unexpected situation put everything on hold, so if you have any info pls let me know!

Sorry for disappearing for months and months and months and---

I can't promise that I'm properly back now, but I'll try to be around more often now that I'm finally adjusting to the new levels of stress and anxiety that the world has brought to my doorstep.

In other news: while I might not have a new chapter of AoW yet ( T_T ) I did write a fic set during act 3 of that same timeline set to go live in.....three minutes?

people really just walk into horror movies and expect them not to deal with uncomfortable things despite the genre being dedicated to discomfort.

i saw so many people complain that lisa frankenstein, a movie where one of the leads is famously a rotting corpse, was too gross for them. when i walked out of nosferatu, i heard people say that the nudity was uncalled for... in a vampire film. nudity? in MY gothic horror?! unheard of!

a LOT of people really need to accept that maybe some genres just aren't to their taste, idk. not every movie needs to be cookie-cutter clean. sexuality is a staple of gothic horror, if not the wider genre horror in General. you don't need to enjoy it, but it doesn't make these things uncalled for.

Fun Story to Share.

I got my (now 18-year-old) daughter into Ao3 back in 2021. I taught her she should always comment - even if the fic looks old or abandoned or whatever. She did.

Well - she got this email this morning:

The fic was written in 2014 and essentially abandoned.

Bethy read and reviewed in 2021 (and was actually the only person who had commented at all).

Today in 2025 - the final chapter was posted by the author and this was her reply to Bethy’s comment.
