HAS ANYONE SPOKE OF THE PARALLEL BETWEEN TITANIC AND A THOUSAND SPLENDID SUNS YET ??????
How you may think both are fiction but they really aren't. How there was definitely a girl in Afghanistan who went through what Mariam did; in the same way how there was definitely a woman on Titanic who went through what Rose did.
Every single aspect of both media — from the characters to the personal stories — everything is based on a true story AS A WHOLE. You can't say they're fiction literature because IT HAPPENED but at the same time you cant think of these people as historical figures because they WEREN'T and they were FORGOTTEN. Innumerable people lived through what Jack did, what Laila did. Except we don't even know their names. *We dont know their names*

There’s so many scenes in a thousands splendid suns that I can talk for hours about. But I think one of the most memorable ones for me is when jalil is seeing Mariam off to Kabul on the bus. There’s no other word to describe jalil better than coward in my opinion. Too scared to take a blow to his reputation to the point where he’s willing to give up something (someone) that he does care for. The part where she’s thinks he looks like an overgrown child. He’s ashamed of her and yet at the same time ashamed of what he’s doing to her. And then Mariam who is a quiet child who has never purposefully done anything wrong, demands to stand up for herself and makes sure that she doesn’t leave without letting him know what he has done to her. She started it off by saying she worshipped him and ending it by saying that it ends now between the two of them. Oh and then how he basically pounds on the door and chases the bus. And then how years later she did the same thing to him that he did to her. And then how she never got to read his letter. He probably never knew what happened in that house, what happened to her in that house. He will always still be a coward. Waiting until he was nearing death to visit her. The fact that she had every right to turn down his visit and he knew that and accepted it. But you still think that if anything, she deserved to let him in that day. To hear that he did care for her, as misguided as it was, he did care. Jalil himself will never know that she never received the letter. He will never know Laila, how she was like a daughter to Mariam. How she was the one that read the letter. He’ll never know Mariam’s fate. I’ve honestly have not read any other book where a character’s life was filled with so much tragedy beginning to end but yet so profound. She died loved, and proud of herself for having loved others.

Bistar pe pada mai, mujhme dil, dil me tu
dil ke upar dimag, dimag me khayal, khayal me tu
Mej par rakhi kitab, kitab me shabd, shabd me tu
jindagi ki pariksha, pariksha me sawal, sawal me tu
ghar me khidki, khidki se aati hawa, hawa me tu
usi mej pe rakha pyala, pyale me sharab, sharab me tu

عندما تحرص على قلب الآخرين ، فإن الله يعتني بقلبك أيضًا. اختر التعاطف واللطف ، لا يكلف شيئًا.
When you're careful with other people's heart, Allah takes care of your heart too. Choose empathy and kindness, it costs nothing.
Jab aap logon k dil ka khyaal rakhte hai,Toh Allah aapke dil ka khyaal rakhta hai.Humdardi aur meherbaani ka maamla karein, uski koi keemat nahi lagti.

आधी शाम गुज़र गई आप कहाँ थे?
अजी, यहाँ आधी ज़िंदगी गुज़र गई आप कहाँ थीं?

Socha to tha ki tere bin jee lenege,
Socha tha ki waqt ke saath seh lenge,
Socha tha ki har ek aashiq aise hi toh tadapta hai,
Socha tha ki dil ke dard ko jhel lenge.
