do strangers actually get that close to you when you're planetside? one would think you have a big regiment with you that controls the environment. no civvies within 600 feet or something
Usually, you stand true. I occasionally do like to have some time to myself, though. Make a half-assed attempt at being human.
I do have at least two guards at all times when on official business. That just doesn't bode as well when I'd like to simply visit a shop, or something of the like. So, inevitably, people do run into me. I try and keep my distance on my own, but people are typically.. oblivious.

aliens commonly remember red hair, in my observations. It's a genetic trait that is rarely seen in other near-human species. but you're also the face of the first order so there's that
Both of these are true.. I suppose it's more of a rhetorical lamenting, for me. Consider that from my end; any interaction can be a risk for assassination.
Just another thing that complicates my life. I try not to react to strangers without complete vitriol, in public.. but. It's a bit difficult. Perhaps this blog is a form of exposure therapy, hm?

Stopping by planets I've spent time on before; always a strange experience. People always seem to remember me.
I don't have a bad memory by any means, but complete strangers tend to get lost in the crowd. Suppose the best method is to just nod and scurry along?

Do vivariums fall under the 'senior officers only' pet policy? And are there size parameters involved? What if the insect is bigger than a BB droid? Asking for a friend.
Allowed within reason, potentially barred depending on your assignment and if you sleep alone or in barracks. I cannot discern your quarters from just an anonymous message. But overall, it's a grey area. Not banned, but not allowed.
If the insect is larger than a BB unit, I believe that counts as something to report under 'loose animal' at your location. That's nearly the size of a loth-cat.
#[answered asks]#[passersby]#☄️: ignore any definition errors. i'm not doing all this research for the bit.

so....if we see a bug aboard are we supposed to catch it in a cup and take a shuttle planetside to drop it off or what
That is your choice; but in a perfect world, yes. Personally, I do have a vivarium in my quarters if care and release is feasible (not that we get many "visitors" on Starkiller). As much as I would love to provide alternative advice, we all have more pressing matters.
However, I will note. We do not need to be shooting at insects. This is not only an overreaction, but dangerous to the equipment and people around us.

I think I speak for all of the junior officers when I say we are immensely happy that we now have a way to report incidents without attaching our names to them. In unrelated news, two of our troop transport shuttles are missing from the sector 4 section D hangar bay.
This is my personal blog and venture, not a communication channel of the First Order. To all my officers: quell your excitement, as I do not manage a digital confession chamber. Your chats are still welcome, but heed the prior statement.
Unrelated.. noted. As an equally unrelated note, It is still protocol we report incidents properly into the system. If you have any information regarding those shuttles, please have it forwarded to me promptly.

re: insect, it was a red jacket wasp i think. all the stormtroopers think theyre captain cardinal until the wasps start flying
I assume that's what the "accidental firing incident" I saw in my reports was, then. Sad. This wasp looks polite.
How interesting it is that our most "elite" forces are.. taken down by a wasp. A wasp more confused than they are.

there was a fucked up looking bug on one of the freighter ships in the support flotilla. it reminded the crew of you
What kind of bug? I am choosing to ignore any negative intent in this statement.
And an extra addition for here, found on my previous trip out to Batuu. Not as stunning as the Parnassos beetle in my opinion, but nice in its own right.
