Bardo Reading for Abuelita Consuelo

I did a Bardo Reading for mi abuelita right after the Clear Light reading. At first, I thought I would pick my own cards to attach to the post on my website, to use cards that sort of depict the experience I describe of the ABD reading. I considered, for example, The Star, The Hermit, The Hierophant, The Moon…I don't know. I was going to pick two or three, then I decided to do what I always knew deep inside was the only thing to do: prepare my reading chamber, prepare myself for the contact, invoke, and shuffle. 

So I shuffled. 

I said, "Tell me about the bardo experience of the voyager Consuelo Joya, who died today at 10 O’clock this morning, who is mi Abuelita Consuelo.”

This is what I got: ​​

Death is the shadow card. I didn’t call for that one. It was volunteered. 

Again, I see that vision mi abuelita gave me, with Koyote and the miracle of the angels. I see her also remembering herself "as the voyager, whose deepest nature is the Clear Light itself." I see a magnificent rebirth into a world she has already prepared. 

The Magus is the second card in the major arcana; it can be seen as Divine Will, present, conscious, and with intent. 

The Aeon is the second-to-last card in the major arcana; it can be seen as rebirth, but more specifically as Divine Will manifesting as reality, the essence of God pouring into Creation. 

The Six of Wands is the perfectly balanced spiritual state, the light of one’s star present and visible, a perfect passage of the essential self. 

The Death card is the loudest and the trickiest card here. She supports all the other cards. Without her, none could be. It is, essentially, transformation. In this case, it could mean that the voyager left this world changed, morphed into something lighter, brighter.​​

Confronting the Clear Light

Mi abuelita Consuelo passed this morning at 10am.​​

I did seven Confronting the Clear Light readings for her. The contact was very strong. I saw the ancestor, the lineage, the family mold. She was my dad, Aleyda, Ricardo, me, many more like that, and we were all the same. When I became the voyager, my voice reverberated across the voidness within, and the world was a background, a font, a flashing commercial…but the reel it was stuck on was beautiful. There was a calming, gentle breeze coming through the window, and sounds of crows and other birds cawing and chirping, and human voices in the distance getting along and working together, and the coziness of the red curtain holding back the wind and the sunlight, folding and unfolding with caresses of vibrations in synchronicity from a soft swirl of universal shifting. And the noises from outside the window and the noises inside my room were melodic. The shadows inside were all mine, and the ABD was red. 

It was all pleasantly a background, exactly like a screen saver. 

I saw instances of her bardo trip sneaking through the Clear Light confrontation as the chambers that will tend to distract her. She confronted ego and ghosts. She thought herself a failure until she saw the lineage, the ancestor, and all the spiritual work being done to evolve an essence. She had moments of trouble identifying her death, confusedly thinking she was just waking up from a long dream where she was an old woman.

We became one, and she brought me a vision, a gift. She turned the tribe matriarchal, but merged with the Father through my dad, who is herself as the Son. He brought the Father without suppressing the Mother into our family. Ricardo and I have been well balanced in that respect since the beginning. Our generation had a Father and a Mother, so we were able to grow as Sons and Daughters. That’s why it is so natural to worship the Goddess, and why we can be magicians and Mothers in this family. 

Upon realizing that "I am one", that "there is no other", I saw myself in a perpetual reading chamber, where I have been doing readings for a very, very long time. I saw soul after soul come through my reading self. They were my family, aunts and uncles and cousins, sisters and brothers and lovers, fathers and mothers and grandparents, friends and strangers, all in an immense expanse of existence across generations before me. They were all taking turns reading and confronting the Clear Light. I was all of them, as each one that reads awakens me, and every time I awake, I am reading. 

Then Koyote came across "the voidness of the void", gliding upon the "swirling patterns of light in infinite extension" like some shamanic, celestial surfer, and he was naked under his coat and non-existent under his hat. He motioned me to look around, and as I turned, I saw an endless mass of beings in pilgrimage towards a downward-spiraling, soul-killer vortex. I saw how the masses were falling into its strong electromagnetic pull. At the other end was an organically-trapped soul, and the angels that were suddenly all around us cheered every time one fell. They called it a miracle. 

The prayer continued unwaveringly all the while, and Abuelita and I continued to dissolve into Clear Light and disperse into clarity.​

This is going to be another ride full of wonder and awe. 

Thank you for your gift, Abuelita! Thank you for the life. Thank you for being my dad’s mother. Thank you for the love that infused the family. Thank you for the genes. Thank you for the vision. I love you!

Dancing Cloud

I was pointing up toward the heavens…

Diana then transformed into the entire chamber, and her body was the space itself. She said that she was with me, that she was committed to this, and that she was here to help me achieve this.

She is a priestess. Her magick is all around me, and she consumes me once again.  

She explodes in orgasms and takes me places—places I have a hard time describing, places that do not always reveal themselves. Every part of her skin is alive, and she engulfs me with her caresses. Every time I enter her, the universe explodes; I see galaxies forming, imploding and exploding; and I see the universe in many different forms.

And the presence of the Goddess is there.  

I seem to be a giant without form, shape and space. I see that I am a point of view, but I never realized before how much of the universe is actually occupied by my presence. Within this womb of Nuit, I am an entire being who is being cradled. And as much space as a babe occupies within the mother’s womb, that is how much I exist within the Goddess. Both Her and I are invisible to each other, yet we are always aware of one another, always fixated on each other. Our attention is only on the other, and we exist only because the other does.

And that is what Diana is to me now and forever.

A Reading for the Times. 

You wanted us to look at what is coming up in the month of February. To that end, you asked me to pull two cards. You got the Knight of Disks and Art. 

You could have just asked if what you have planned for the future will create the changes you intend. You could have just said to me that you are wondering if there are any changes approaching in your life, that you are wondering because you have already started to manifest a higher level of work within yourself, a work that is actually affecting those around you and manifesting itself in your profession as, perhaps, something quite new, refreshed, strengthened. You could have told me that you are preparing yourself for a very exacting process of change, that you were wondering if the preparation has been adequate and the alchemical properties are present in your ordeal, but I guess you already knew the answer to that as well. You could have shared with me that you have created a most awesome D&D character, that you are actually still subjecting that character to a precise training—of the sort that will transform your playing experience with a most rewarding, personal transformative fusion, and that you were wondering if it is all in your head or if objective reality resonates with the chords of your destiny. But no. You already knew the answer to that question as well.

For whatever reason, you did not mention any of those things—so, whatever. We won’t go there.

I’ll just go on with the reading you did ask for. 

What can you expect during the month of February? Expect the ability and the readiness to transform your world! 

That’s right. The Knight of Disks is not just some chump thinking about how good he looks in his shirt and haircut. This Knight is one-third Leo and two-thirds Virgo, which means that your presence through this change is virtuous and innocent; it is of your true will, and you look good doing it! Now, this Knight is not a bringer of change, per se. He is already embodying the necessary posture within the desired change. This is not dressing for the position you want; this is being the holder of the post itself. In other words, this Knight is not the bringer of change; he is the strongest possible response to a change that is already happening. 

This king is radiating the light of his own star onto his world. The armor means you have secured your place within this winds of change. Your shield is the Disk, that which radiates outward from within. This shield could be representing actual money, and the money is a healing tool for you. But it is also the circle within which you manifest your higher self. So again, as before, I am seeing that your own practice is becoming a manifestation of your will. We see the light of your heart radiating outward onto your world—that those that tread your lands and take to your roads may find guidance, healing, and transformation as they will. 

So the Knight of Disks is the badass that tells us you are ready for the changes that are happening. He affirms that you are already there, doing your thing. And what is this “your thing” that needs doing during this month when The Star and The Moon dance across our skies as Aquarius and Pisces? Art! 

Excellent! (For a witch, that is…)

Art is the caldron of lovers and alchemists, witches, wizards, scientists, and holy hobos. It is the rising of the sacred sexual force up into the regions of the heart. Which is to say, also, that the body is ready to receive the presence of the Holy Guardian Angel, that it has been cleaned and cleansed, purified and charged. This is the mixing of the elements that are essential components of your own, unique universe. 

I believe, in practical terms, that we are witnessing through the cards a month in which you may clearly implement changes to your practice. We are talking about internal changes which come to affect the external in a very powerful and positive way. So, look within yourself if you don’t already know what I am talking about. You might not know because I might not be describing it correctly, or because I might not have correctly identified the object of change and transformation which you will be effecting under The Star and The Moon. 

Tangent: The Star and The Moon are our ghost cards. They are introducing an influence within this reading by association. Your invoking of time as presence (by calling for a reading describing February) has brought the guidance of the stars and the magical influence of the moon. That’s because The Star is under Aquarius and The Moon is under Pisces, both of which travel through February. They are both very powerful feminine forces, ancient and present, one a goddess, one a sacred witch. Again, the sacred is affecting the female force in transformative ways. End tangent.

It could be that it is your body we are talking about. It could be that it is your home. It could be your business, too. All I know is that the Knight of Disks exemplifies a most perfectly balanced, aesthetically pleasing state of physical being-ness. The card is about making your inner wealth outwardly visible. But the card is not a messenger, like the Prince would be. This is not a battle to conquer inner demons or anything like that. This is having attained that victory already. This is implementing your inner blessings outwardly. Being a Disk, it is specifically indicating a physical vehicle carrying this virtuous, transformative light. Again, that could be your practice or your body. 

Alright, in conclusion, to sum it all up—and I don’t know why I aim to write such longwinded accounts of extravagant fascinations when a very practical, down to Earth response would suffice and perhaps even serve better—I believe the Knight of Disks and Art indicate that a very artistic month is in store for you. You should find yourself well within your place of power. It isn’t a comfort zone at all, but it is a place where you rule yourself with art, love, and power. I believe it is mostly through your practice that you will find the most artistic expression of being in the right place while doing the exact, right thing—all at the same time. So, do not let this month pass you by without you implementing new knowledge, new magick, new ideas and plans—specially those that concern and most artistically conform with the inner changes you have been experiencing.

Two Card Reading for An Aspirant

You asked me for a reading on what's coming up for your practice (your clients, your career). You wanted to know where I see you headed.

I chose the Orbifold Tarot by Michael Bridge-Dickson for its daring simplicity and clear, tangible radiance.

The Knight of Fire is active and directed transformative energy.

The Emperor is about “home, security, pattern.”

First, lets take a look at the red card. Fire is a cleansing element. It can also be a destroying force. It can be creative energy or painfully harmful. It is ardent and expansive. It consumes and changes, destroys and creates in its wake. It travels like the wind, but it can be contained and concentrated. This element is of movement, vision, passion, and will.

Luckily, it is the Knight who carries this element. The Knight is also the Son in creation, represented by our star, the Sun. The Knight resides in Tiphareth, which is the sphere where we meet our Holy Guardian Angel. So, the Knight can be seen as a messenger from our angel. In Michael’s deck, the Knight stands for active and directed force.

When we consider the Knight of Fire, which is the Knight of Wands or the Prince of Wands in other decks, we can clearly see that your business is either going through, about to go through, or needs to go through a series of changes. These changes are good! They are being directed or guided by the part of you which communicates with the angels.

Another way to consider the Knight of Fire is as a representation of yourself, or rather, a very specific aspect of yourself. Please, bear with me! The Knight of Fire is that which carries your will forward. In this case, the card demonstrates that you are in the process of acquiring a receptacle for a higher manifestation of yourself, and that could be as simple a thing as a message that is coming to you, it would provably be regarding your business and how to carry it forward. But that would mean you wasted your money on me because you are paying for an insight to an answer that is coming to you soon from the angels themselves. So I am going to say, instead, that the Knight of Fire is actually a more refined, more advanced, better equipped and transformed version of yourself.

So the card talks both, about your future self with regards to your clients and your career, and about the manner if which you will be affecting your practice as a whole in the coming months. It being a Knight, we know you will be making things happen in accordance to that which is in your heart. It being Fire, we know these changes are transformative and cleansing in nature. Together, we see you performing some very radical changes to the way in which you engage with your clients and the way in which you engage your business as a whole. I think this is the time to apply all of those things you have been contemplating and planning. And if there has been no talk of a change, then it is time to look into your heart because you are about to go through a transformation, and it is precisely your work with others that will be benefited by this change.

Now let us look at the second card. This is The Emperor. In other systems and with other decks, depending on the question and the aspirant and the reader and many other circumstances as well, this card can represent a number of things. In other decks, we can look at the pictures of a king sitting on a throne, and he looks straight at you or to the left or to the right, and by looking at these and many more attributes, we can come to understand that we are talking about a card of fire and authority, of power over self, of control and dominance over a situation. This can also be a card for change and initiative. It is ruled by the fire sign Aries in some systems, so it is also royal and of beauty.

In the Orbifold, Michael simply calls The Emperor “Home, security, pattern.” With this deck, we are invited to look at the elements and see how they interact with and affect each other. Look at the brilliance of The Emperor! How he turned himself upside down in order to match the red with the red of the Knight on the bottom and the green of its border on the top. This tells me that the changes (fire) are to be seen and felt in manifested grounds; so we are talking about tangible changes to the business, but essential in nature, not necessarily in structure or location (though it could be that those things are also required). The green border being on the top means that The Emperor considers the tangible things of your practice as spiritual matters. In other words, the work you do with your clients and within your chosen career are very much a manifestation of your own internal or spiritual work.

Look, furthermore, at how, at the center of The Emperor card there is a red, luminous sphere manifesting within a four-fold structure of Green. Green is the color for the element of Earth. Earth is the element that represents being and experience. It represents our foundation upon life, our organic body, business, money, material possessions, but also stability, balance, steady or stubborn, slow movement, and more. Now look at the card on the left again and notice the solid sphere of Red in the center of the Knight of Fire. That’s right. Your business is to house and host the essence of your will and heart. The Emperor, remember, is a card for “home” and “security” and “pattern.” The Emperor is here seen embracing your heart’s desire, a spark of your essential self, and an expression of your will within your own creation, your practice. Also remember that fire is sometimes contained by earth.

Therefore, when we consider the question of the future of your practice, and when we consider the path of yourself with regards to your practice, we see that you are about to plant a seed into your work. It is, or so it seems to me, as if you are activating a huge part of your life and incorporating it into your very own inner work. There is a marriage of sorts that needs to happen, one that has not finished clicking quite perfectly yet, but one that is guaranteed by your actions. I suggest you bring the best of yourself into these moments making up your near future. I suggest you listen to your heart and to your desires, your passions, and love. I mean it! The Knight of Fire carries a message about your will from your heart. It is that red sphere of a planet hovering in between a white sky and a red inferno. The Emperor is that sacred structure you have created, the one you are using as your business, and it is precisely there that you will be manifesting your will in the near future. And both cards are of Fire, so the entire structure of your practice will be going through a very deep and powerful cleansing and a transformation—one which will resonate loudly and beautifully with the chords of your angels.

Or: Yes, I Cheated, but at No Extra Cost

Tonight, at 2:30 AM, I pulled the 5 of Wands for you. You didn’t leave any instructions or questions for the reading, so I decided to use the shadow card (at the bottom of the deck) for direction. That one was the 4 of Wands. Coolness. Awesomeness. :)

The progression from the 4 to the 5 within the same suit (Wands, in this case) is already beginning to show … well, progress—a natural flow of the creative energy.

The 5 of Wands can be seen as a card of struggle, even a fighting one. But it isn’t self-defense or conquest. This is mockery with friends; it is playful. It depicts friendly contests.

In this case, since we are dealing with Wands, the card is referencing a spiritual matter; or, if not, then at least a matter which deals with your spirituality. It is here to show that the energetic struggles you might be experiencing or detecting are necessary. They are symptoms which may appear whenever you are upscaling.

This card is saying that you are striving towards prosperity and harmony. You should be able to see that this moment is a necessary rearranging of energies, a moment of growth.

Rest assured that you will be successful in this ordeal. The 4 of Wands stands as the chosen shadow of your card. This means you are centered in the right place and operating under the ethical guidance of your true heart.

You chose one card to see into a part of your universe. When we turned the card, we were also given its shadow, and the 4 of Wands was chosen. It was chosen to let us know that the natural progression of this present work of yours is heading towards the 6 of Wands, which is the card for Victory.

Divine Mother’s Blessing. 

I came upon it while searching for sacred food. She is the Goddess, The Empress, a divine aspect of Isis, and this is a token of her divine blessing, which is her creation. She is Water, and she is also Wind and Fire. But Earth only exists within her Womb. The Seed is you, her Divine Creation. Your life she birthed.

This is for healing, sanctifying, prosperity, that king of thing. May everything you ground and manifest be an offering to the highest!

The sigil is inspired by Diana’s design—loving mother, wife and muse! In fact, I asked her if I could use her design in order to help me get to mine, and ended up tapping into the Devine Feminine as a result of psychometry and of much alchemy, love and devotion between us. Not to mention intent and seeds in the astral that we seem to be planting in higher and higher work-chamber type of dimensions as we go along our most magnificent journey. What do you expect? We’re married and in love; plus, I’m a Capricorn and she’s an Aries! But the calling for this charm was from an angel who commissioned me to create one that holds the vibrational signature of the Awakened Daughter, who realizes that she is both Creation and Mother upon hearing Her Voice.

Someday I’ll get it.

For now, I have these amazing charms, all made with E.J.’s created-and-approved technology, knowledge, and implicit blessing. No kidding! It’s all Super Beacons and Triads and charging stations and orb runs. Yes, I use the orbs to access the particular substance within the astral plane in order to imbue it into the plate or circle. Bam! And I’ve been at it for nights and days, all kinds of hours and days. Sometimes it feels like it’s been all the days…the best days.

And in case I don't get to chat with you anytime soon, I'd like to tell you what I saw, at last, while trying to answer the question you struggled to get me to answer: the new guy!

I see a man with resources and influence in the world. He is someone with personal power, and he does things in the world that matter. He transforms you and the world around you into a place you desire. But I don't see this happening during the three months in New Zealand. What I do see happening there is the emergence of a new part of you. It is a sort of illumination, a lesson learned of sorts. It isn't a bad experience or anything like that. It is more of a growing within. So, it matches that you meet such a character after this period of growth.

Okay, so, I might be wrong. It has happened before ;). But, that doesn't change the fact that I do see you encountering something awesome about yourself and your life, and that it seems to me that you make a destined partnership with another great person someday.

My Reflexion On Someone’s Card-of-the-Day

She shared her card-of-the-day with me, and I told her what I thought...

The cotd (card of the day) doesn’t have to be a prediction for how your day is going to be, for what is to come, or for what you can expect. In fact, it is better to not use the cotd for predictions. Desires for predictions are, most of the time (a fact normally hidden from us by us), fear based. They can stain the experience with all sorts of negative energies, desires, compulsions, addictions, and obsessions. 

Instead, we can use the cotd for guidance, which is what most people THINK they are doing. We pull a card of the day to help guide us through the currents of the day. In other words, we find an element of the card of the day and use it for guidance or protection, direction and healing, as a key to open and a clue to solve. Even just meditating on the card or keeping its image in your mind throughout the day may produce good results; placing it on your altar and feeding it fire, water, and incense may allow its resonance to positively affect your circle. Carry it in your purse and allow it to radiate!

So, The Devil doesn’t necessarily mean you are to expect a hot, kinky sexual experience, but rather, that perhaps you should go and get one.

Reading Chamber

In an effort to further define my work, I came up with Viento de Octubre’s Reading Chamber. It is a combination of decades of work in guiding the dead and bardo voyaging; shamanic training in the Dreaming, astral voyaging, shadow dancing, shapeshifting, working with elementals, Diaphanous Shell technology (including time-travel, lifetime accesses points, other-lives message retrieval, and more); 4th Way work on presence and attention, awakening the machine; Aka Dua transformational energy work; sex magick; work with yoga, meditation, banishment, purification, consecration, invocation, evocation, the pursuit of the Knowledge and Conversation of my Holy Guardian Angel; and finally, tarot. All of which is really an act of Devotion in response to Aspiration—the call to the sacred.

The tarot is, in this case, a honing device, or a magnifying glass, or a scrying mirror. It is a tool that allows me to quickly access specific chambers within the bardos, all with the intent to offer help to the essential self—from the passages of the bardo all the way to their current incarnation. I aim to also be able to access parallel incarnations in order to assist the manifestation of the seeker across the multiverse.

I am still developing this possible mode of work for myself. I am beginning to experiment with different chambers, attempting to tune in and tone myself and the cards, using the ABD and other techniques and tools as well. 

We'll see where it goes.

When the Dead Communicate

I was asked by L to retrieve a message from someone who was murdered.

B has a message. His death was not a freak occurrence, bad timing, or anything like that. Because The Hanged Man shows up on the left, we can deduce that his death was part of a plan. We could be talking about destiny or about will. This exit from life was chosen either from the beginning of the lifetime, as if it was part of the package, or in the moment, as in an act of will, perhaps even a sacrifice. He is still hanging in the afterlife realm, and he’s dealing quite well.

This is another instance of a complex “yes or no” question. I had originally planned to draw up to five cards if the “yes or no” part came up positive—which it did, but not quite so at first. That is to say, when I first read it, I read it as “no.” I erroneously read The Hanged Man as an upside-down card, which gave me the illusory response. Thinking that there was no message, I ended the reading there.

It wasn’t until I was looking at the picture, getting ready to send it to you with the message that there was no message and that no further inquiry was necessary, that I noticed that the answer was actually a “yes.” Which is why I believe the messengers were making sure that I only drew three cards, letting us know that B’s message is in these cards.

Before I did the reading, I connected to B (or his agents) using the techniques for guiding the dead. I offered the cards as a means of communication. Even though I thought he had no message at first, he did. 
The Hanged Man is a card that unites the ordinary to the divine. This card is about receiving a sacred calling, a mandate. This is a conscious act. Whether it is the daemon, the angel, or the human, this death was chosen. That is the first part of the message.

This makes me think that B had a choice in those last moments of his life, and for some reason, he chose to give his life. It makes me think that perhaps he was helping, that he chose to fight instead of run. His death was valiant, and it appears that he did the work of saints in those last moments of his life.

The Seven of Swords is a positive move towards liberation. B is shown leaving a camp, which is in this case organic existence or reincarnation. But the cards also means that he is in the process of attempting a move. It might be that he is resisting a certain rebirth station or that he is trying to ascend higher rather than sinking back into rebirth. It can also mean that he is trying to go for a better incarnation, or a specific one.

In any case, he needs no help. The Three of Wands reversed can be read as the end of conflict and troubles. Through this card we can see that whatever it is he is wishing for, he is successful.

Given everything you have shared with me, sis, I conclude that B has been trying to get a message across to his son and perhaps the rest of his family. The reading in its entirety, from the moment you opened the space to the moment I closed it, is telling me that you are to deliver this message to the S’s. Deliver it in anyway you choose and see fit and better suited: orally, written message, transmission from being to being (as through your art and service). Tell them that he has been trying to communicate; that he died a good death, one fit for a man of his caliber because he died a hero—truly; that his life’s purpose was met; that he is moving on to other conquests in his Great Adventure.

Lastly, L, I believe B has fulfilled his wish to communicate with his son thanks to you. I believe it has been placed in your hands: the charge of delivering his message. It is quite obvious that he made contact with you during the time you massaged his son, and that he delivered the message to you. All you had to do then was to have it translated; that’s why you called me.
