Heyoooo!! I got a new drawing tablet for my birthday which is in a few days and so I made this with it and Firealpaca. It was kinda diffficult since I'm just used to using my finger and phone however I do like it. It's much more comfy.

I made some designs for grown up Ben and Holly in my mlp au. Making cutie marks is surprisingly hard...

How do you do your animations/animatics? Like what software you use? I want to one of my own and don't know where to start yet 🫠🥲

I’m not very good at explaining things but I’ll try my best.

I use CapCut! However I’m currently looking for another since CapCut’s getting way too greedy and they lock everything behind a paywall.

But anyways it depends on what kind of animatic I’m doing really. I usually make a storyboard either with IbisPaint or FlipaClip and then load it into CapCut. For my most recent one, I drew each keyframe in IbisPaint and then added them to the timeline in CapCut. If that makes sense

For ones like the “I love you so” PMV I did, it gets a little more complicated since there are more parts to it all.

For that one in particular I basically did the same thing where I added images into the app

So here I just add the main images with the plus button. In this case, the main image I used was the sketch of Gardenia there. I just edited it as a cut out in IbisPaint. Make sure it’s transparent png if u want to add a background.

And to add a bg, u just scroll through all the editing stuff on the bottom and click background. U can see it in the first picture there. Make sure the cursor thingy is above the image you want to put the background over. And there you can put in whatever background you want.

If you want your images to move, you can put in key frames.

I don’t really have great advice for like making the animatic itself 😭 I mean I just listen to music and imagine a music video to it and then get to work.

But yea I will probably be looking for a new app to use since the ads in CapCut nowadays are outrageous.

Okay so I looove a few of the specials too, particularly the London Special I think that was the best. I like the world building, the friendships, and I actually like some of the goofiness of the interactions. When they’re just silly and not plain cringe like the statue scene. Oh and Chat Noir is a given.

I hate Miracle Queen because they destroyed Chloe’s redemption arc, I hate Marinette’s stalker tendencies, oftentimes the writing specifically with how lazy it can feel at times, how repetitive the episodes can be especially with the first three seasons, how Chat Noir keeps getting left out of everything, Master Fu, and i don’t like how one dimensional a lot of the characters are, particularly Marinette’s classmates. They’re like the same people but different fonts.
