“Have you ever gone sailing before? I feel like that’s a real rich kid thing to do. I mean I’ve been on a sail boat but I have no idea how to work it all. If you know how to I will be very impressed.” she said, trying to think of something for them to do that won’t end in it being illegal.

                           ❛ well, i haven’t OFFICIALLY been sailing but i hijacked a boat once to try & get away from the cops. i got like a mile out & then the coast guard caught me. i think i did pretty well for a first timer, so if you’re not impressed by that then i MIGHT as well just give up now. ❜ he chuckles, a mischievous grin curving his lips.

“I know we’re right by the beach at school, but Thailand beaches just have something extra.” Shannon said, embracing the sun on her face, and the drink in her hand. “It’s so exotic, and now I’m beating my parents in which countries we’ve been too.”

“ ah fuuuuuuccckkkkkk— ” they dragged the word out as they got pushed out of the bar along with ryan. of course, this was not unexpected. the fight had gotten way out of hand. achilles turned their head ( uncomfortably ) to face the cop that was rather aggressively holding their hands behind their back. “ listen, man, c’mon, ya don’t wanna do this. ” it was obvious that they were definitely drunk, as the ambiguously american accent that they normally had was replaced with their virginian one. the cop was actually not that bad looking, and in their drunken haze, they somehow came up with the GREAT idea to maybe flirt their way out of this one. eye contact ? check. unfaltering smile ? check. only problem seemed to be the handcuffs they knew he was pulling out. glancing at ryan, they rolled their eyes and muttered under their breath, just loud enough for ryan to hear. “ we are so fucking fucked, dude. ”

                           ❛ ow ! is this necessary ?! ❜ ryan questions as if he’s exempt from the law ( he’s not ), knowing better than to FIGHT the officers & just go with it. his disregard for rules has left him in this exact situation a million times — only difference is that back home he knows the officers & actually speaks their language. ❛ look, buddy, i know we got off the a ROUGH START but i can change. just let us go & let by gones be by gones, right ? ❜ he’s so sure that he could convince the officers to let them go that it ACTUALLY backfires, leaving them in the back of a police car with cuffs looped around their hands. this isn’t exactly how he’s planned on spending his vacation. ❛ oh, fuck, you got any ideas on how we can get OUT of this ? ❜ ryan asks achilles quietly, glancing over at them with an expectant look.

“hand me that towel,” james says. he’s almost commanding the other, before offering a smile. “please.” they’re on vacation, after all. there was no need to be an asshole this week.

“Ohhh we shall.” she said copying the voice he used. “I mean hey maybe if I spoke like that they’d let me into the bar even quicker. I think I would sound very mature.” Bree laughed, putting the I.D back in her bag. “Hmmmm you could be a Borris. If I took a step back, squinted one eye a bit. I think it could work.”

                           ❛ do you have sugar ? milk ? none of the above ? ❜ he asks, keeping in TONE with the conversation. ❛ hey, it could work. you have a pretty neat old lady’s voice --- even i’m almost CONVINCED. ❜ ryan grins, sitting in a more comfortable position. ❛ okay, now i’m offended. boris is an ugly name, & i ain’t ugly thank you very much. ❜

on the wall in front of them, there were many white sheets of printer paper taped to the surface. the entire wall would have been completely whited-out, if not for the messily scrawled handwriting in different colors that was scattered across the pages. “ ryan, ” the name was spoken with a hint of bitterness, though mostly exasperation. estrella took a moment to turn around and throw the green inked pen at his face. “ shut up. ” before turning back around to the notes on the wall. less than 24 hours before their last final and they were getting restless. “ don’t ‘i’ve done nothing wrong’ me, young man. you stole a car ”

                           he flinches a little at the ICINESS of their tone, but somehow his signature grin remains on his lips as he practically rolls on the bed, looking up at the ceiling. ❛ if they didn’t want me to take it, they shouldn’t have left the keys in the IGNITION. it’s perfect logic. they left the car there for me to have an amazing drive in. i would’ve picked up you & cait. ❜ of course, he doesn’t think that will make them less angry, but it sounds like a justified REASON to him. then again, all of his reasons seem justified. ❛ can i at least watch some orange is the new black ? ❜

james chuckles slightly before pulling out the lighter from his jean pocket. “of course i have a light. is that even a question?” he holds it up for ryan to take.

                           he takes the lighter with a grin ETCHED into his lips. ❛ you’re my new favourite person, y’know. ❜ he chuckles, balancing one of the sticks between his lips before offering james the packet. ❛ want ONE ? ❜

“So I might have told the waiter it was your birthday, Ryan so they would give us free food. Or well I hope they are giving us free food.” Cait said, eyeing the waiter coming over with cake and candles. “Go along with it or else we’re paying for this.”

feeling her phone buzz, kiara jumped up from her bed slightly. for a second she feared it was some weird insect but when she noticed the screen of her phone, she was able to breathe normally again. picking up immediately, she couldn’t help but laugh when she recognized ryan’s voice. it wasn’t much of a surprise for her. “ next time try to steal a jaguar, raise your standards.” she joked. “ but yes, i’ll bail you out. i was already confused what i should do with my money.” she snickered, while grabbing her bag and putting on her shoes. “ i’ll be there soon, yeah?”

                           at her words, he releases a DRAMATIC gasp before laughing into the receiver, causing a few looks to be thrown his way from some people who are sitting in the waiting area. he just pulls a face at them. ❛ jeez, sorry master of car theft. do you KNOW anyone who owns one ? maybe one of your rich buddies ? always funny blowing up their shit. ❜ he grins, mindless of the fact that he’s in a POLICE STATION. ❛ you are a life saver. see ? i’m giving you the excuse to use your trust fund. you should be thanking me, ❜ he says like he’s doing her the hugest favour. ❛ gotcha. i’ll be waiting, pocahontas. ❜
