Tangled: the Series Comics

Here's a link to my Drive with all the comics on it, in order by publication in the comic book format*.

Some notes:

The stories vary in length: two pages, four pages, eight pages, and twenty pages. The first story, an abridged version of Tangled: Before Ever After, is 24 pages. Splash pages are each numbered with the two pages they occupy.

The comics were originally split into five series: "Adventure is Calling," "Let Down Your Hair," "Hair Raising Adventures," "Hair and Now," and the final issue, "Hair It Is." I've color-coded the folders so you know where each series starts and ends.

The covers are in their own folder, labeled as S(series #)I(issue #) - cover. Some issues had more than one cover. I've got them all. It includes all the inside pages that aren't comics (like table of contents).

"Under the Big Top" is the only story that canonically takes place during season two. The rest take place during season one (or in Rapunzel and Pascal's past as children).

*Four comics -- "Occupation Princess," "Eager to Help," "Baking Instinct," and "Princess Cassandra" -- were originally published in the short-lived "Tangled: the Series Magazine" before the comic book series began to be published. There are no comics that were in the magazine that did not eventually make it into the comic books.

Do you think it was considered amongst Frederic, Arianna and advisors whether to let Eugene live in the castle or to have civilian housing be arranged for him instead? I've been thinking about them (or I guess Fred mostly) being how they are, they might've been skeptical at first to have Eugene live where their newly found daughter lives when they don't even know him/might have yet to trust him. Like, could you imagine if they had to be convinced to let Eugene live in the castle? Ofc I know canon pretty much said he moved in immediately with no personal issues, but it's still interesting to think how much they were willing to balance ensuring Rapunzel's happiness when she's just been brought back to them v. their trauma, yknow? Like I know Fred is the overprotective one and Ari is the calm diplomat, but idk, I think we can have both. I like imagining tough, strict overprotective mother Arianna. Dare I say it's more in character? I mean the movie said (without so much as words tbh) that Arianna is the strong one between the pair, Fred is the feeling one. Imo you'd think the way the series had it would be...a little the other way around.

Oh, I definitely assume there was some discussion about his living arrangements. But know what I think the clincher was? Not Rapunzel's happiness, but her anxiety. I think when she first got back, she was loathe to be separated from him, even for a moment. Between her not being sure if he'd be pardoned and him being the only human she knew at all in the palace, I really think she would have absolutely freaked out if they tried to take him away from her. She'd already lost him twice, and the woman she thought was her mother. Though the end of the movie was all happy and loving, she was undoubtedly suffering serious emotional trauma after all that had happened in the past few days. And after a few days of her refusing to leave his side, they'd just relent and assign him a room in the palace if she'd just stop sleeping in the same room as him every night.
