Yea, im assuming (at least going off of my previous headcanon) that the consensus is that his parents, if they exist, forgot about him after he was taken in by the void. But Molly was remembered after she left the void, so I dont see why it would just be Rob.

Rob continues to be forgotten because that's just his character's bit. He's forgettable. (Also, he was horribly disfigured, unlike Molly). But if he had parents, I highly doubt they'd forget about their son like that because thats still their kid. At the very least, they'd remember after a while that they're missing their child and go looking for him.

Even then, he interacts with his old classmates sometimes, and they seem to have like. SOME semblance of who he is. Banana joe addressed him by name in "The Inquisition." Tobias and William both interacted with him in "The Spinoffs", and Gumball remembers everything he did to Rob to make him hate him in the first place (The Rerun) so that proves HE knows who he was atleast.

I know a lot of people are hopeful we might get to see Robs "real" family in season 7, but now that im thinking about it, I really do not think he has a family. Like, it's not DEFINITE, but it's been said a few times that Rob genuinely doesn't have a family, even apart from when he was likely suffering from amnesia of some sort. Like when Gumball ejected him into the void in "The Rerun" and said, "I just banished a guy with no family or friends to an eternity in limbo"

But this could also age really poorly, and I could look extremely stupid, so who knows🥹

I might be alone in this, but I'm having a hard time feeling fully hyped for S7 ??? I think I'm just nervous to see how everything goes.

I'm especially hoping that the conclusion of the void storyline doesn't end up being a disappointment </3

I obviously understand production issues getting in the way of things, I just hope the storytelling throughout the season is still able to wrap up the void plot in a satisfactory way.
