Something I’ve found out recently is that all links to TikToks stop working after 4 months, and will just start sending you to a random page after that amount of time. This is super annoying, but I figured I’d make a post about it since I still see a lot of stimboard gif makers posting tiktok links as credit. Make sure to list the name of the account too!

I'm seeing lots of new stimboard blogs who aren't sourcing gifs and it should not become the new norm.
Do YOU want people to continue making new gifs for you to put on your stimboards?! SOURCE YOUR GIFS. CREDIT THE ORIGINAL CREATOR.
It makes me so sad to see amazing creators leave because of people continuously not crediting them.
STOP IT. Source your gifs. Credit the people that made them, the same way they credit back the people they got the footage from. Not sourcing them means more and more people that make them will eventually grow tired and leave.
Here's an easy tutorial on how to link back to the original source. It is not hard.
Learn to search for specific stim gifs on tumblr. What I do is put "[x-thing] stim" on the search and most of the time it shows me what I want. If you want it of a specific color you can just go "[x-thing] [y-color] stim." Learn to use the tags on stimblogs to find what you're looking for. Go thru stim archive blogs. Tumblr has SO many highly specific stim gifs.
"But where could I possibly keep all the sources? When I have them all in the stimboard, I won't remember from which blog I got them from!"
Then reblog all the gifs you use! Save the og post on the tumblr drafts so you can easily link it back! Reblog and put tags on them so you can search them on your account later! Put all the links in a document!
It genuienly is not that hard. It's also never too late to start crediting.
