Yet I always make this exact point when I’m defending Shi Wudu, being a huge SW’s apologist (like, look at my profile pic lol), I don’t find the point consistent enough. It’s not a precise analogy.

While the trolley kills people instantly, in SW’s case it’s a quite slow torturing to death. Like, you pulled the lever, the trolley has injured the 4 (!) people severely but you still can help them, you still can cure it. The Reverend killed He Xuan, but He family died only because He Xuan had the ‘disease’.

Shi Wudu was a god at this point, so he had all the resources to help these 4 innocent people that were put in danger because of his actions. He could minimise the consequences any way possible, to isolate He Xuan from them or anything, but he just didn’t care.

Upd he could also kill He Xuan that would be quite a merciful decision

Guess he felt worse cause the Shi Wudu’s quick and almost painless death wasn’t a part of his plan. He can’t bring him back lol, he had been waiting for this for ages and absolutely fucked this up in the end
