This is my board based on one of my designs. I wanted it to embody viva glam and my spokes person, Shirley Manson and her band garbage. It’s vulgar,loud and playful. I used an old bra of mine the lace and bows are so delicate and feminine yet the background pictures from magazines are bold and masculine. I love adding punk, gothic themes with a feminine touch and style to add uniqueness and create an edge. I wanted to incorporate Amy from amyl and the sniffers, as she’s bold and powerful with her words and the way she presents herself. She’s comfortable in her body and sexuality, she’s not afraid to go shirtless and to be angry and loud yet feminine. I feel she has the same attitude as Shirley Manson and fits the aesthetic of my work. I sewed images from some music magazines that I collect and sewed them onto the bra as well as buttons as I incorporate them in some of my designs. I added bows for a touch of femininity and I used the magazines for the background.

this is the process of me making a board for two of my designs, i worked back onto my designs in black oil pastel and black fabric. this was to showcase the colour of my designs, its messy which corelates with the style of Shirley Manson and it showcases the colour black without it being full coloured in.

this is my viva glam board for all the different types of women from all races, ages and disabilities. i went beyond the beauty standard,aging is beautiful so is unique features and i feel they should be celebrated not hated by society and seen as something to fear and despise. i feel viva glam and mac embody the idea of celebrating uniqueness and being yourself and i feel this is needed in the main media.

this is my board for viva glam in general. it focuses on all races, all genders and all disabilities. viva glam is camp and flamboyant, a way to express yourself and be uniqly you. no matter your age, race, disability or gender you have a purpose in this world and givven the current climate you, we should all embrace all asspects of our individuality. for myu design board i used oil pastel as makeup so the viva glam lipstick cutouts look like their real. oil pastels are a running theme in all of my design b oards, its fun and playful, i wanted to give it the feel of messy yet unique makeup to represent mac's ethics.

this is my board for viva glam. i was heaviliy inspired by trans women and drag queens. pride wouldnt be around if it wasnt for all the black trans women od america and all accros the world and i wanted to honor them and take insperation. breakfast on pluto was a play set in northern irland in the 1970s, it followed the life of a trans woman called 'kitten braden', its sad yet joyful with a playful element. the main chracter is flamboyant and kindspirited and in my opinion is a child at heart. i loved the novel by patrick mccabe and the movie staring cillian murphy. i was also inspired by another play called angels in america, its a two part play centered around the aids crisis, it was later turned into a seriese staring merel streep. viva glam support aids charities and i thought my love for the play tied in nicley. rue paul did a documentry for an american news chanel, he interviewd trans hookers on the street their dreams and asperations, she said she saw herself in every one of those girls. it breaks my heart that they needed to go in to that line of work to get by, they had these big dreams from being young. being a part of minorities and facing opretion for being who you are and true to yourself you often see yourself in others like you or people that are from completley different walks of life but still suffer from hatred and oppression at the hands of others and people higher up. you will find common ground with others and find simmilarities.

This is the creation on my viva glam board for all types of women.

i was inspired by all the different types of women, no matter what your age is your race or disability you always have a place in the fashion industry and in cosmetics. wrinkels and signs of aging shows life, that you have so manny stories to tell. being young shows you have a life to lead, a world to explore.
