vldsaeun:
There was something very endearing about Chaewon, and Saeun couldn’t help but feeling incredibly fond as she saw her gestures. Theatricals was something she was used to, after four years of being part of a group full of them, and all of them as adorable. People joked about Saeun going around adopting younger idols as part of her family, and maybe she did, and she tried not to have favorites, but she admitted that she had an extra soft spot for Chaewon. “I couldn’t have you being miserable. Why don’t I show you what I brought and then we go out for an ice cream?”
If a dorm wasn’t messy, then there was no one living in it. The Iota dorms were sort of clean because Saeun asked the girls to keep some order since there were many of them and it was a shared space, but there were always things left behind. She missed that. Her apartment as too clean. “I’ll be careful.” It looked like the girls had tried to pick something to wear by trying everything they had in their closets. But there all were so young that Saeun could only smile as she avoided anything in the way to the couch.
“Japan is beautiful. We were very busy, but we got a few days to explore the city. It was nice.” She took a seat and handed her the bag. It contained a Hazel plushie, a couple of chocolate surprise eggs, a box of marshmallows with the characters on it that seemed to be very popular, a cute journal, a few packages of amiibo cards, a pack bag, and a cutlery set. She would have wanted to get everything in the store for Chaewon and Daehyun, but she had bought what she had liked the most for them. “I remembered you like that game, Animal Crossing? So I got you a few things that I hope you like.”
The idea of getting ice cream with Min Saeun seemed like something right out of sixteen-year-old Chaewon’s dreams, before she’d joined Summit Media and before she’d met Saeun. Before they had become part of the same world. She’d learned long ago that the Iota girls were humans just like her and she rarely let her idolization shine through, but it still existed, and she felt lucky that Saeun wanted to be around her at all. “That sounds great!” She agreed with pep and a few quick nods.
“I’m glad that you liked it! I’ve seen a lot of pictures before and it looks so colorful and nice. I hope that Lark can go there someday too,” She stated as she followed Saeun to the couch and sat beside her. She tried to mask her immense enthusiasm as she accepted the bag, taking a cautious peek in before actually opening it — she realized the overall theme just as Saeun said Animal Crossing, and it made her smile grow into a wide grin. The game was one of her favorite things at the moment, especially the character Hazel: so when she was the Hazel plushie, she couldn’t help but let out a high-pitched awww.
After she had looked at all of the contents, she set the bag to the side and gave Saeun her full attention, still beaming. She didn’t think it was possible to smile any wider. “Thank you! It makes me so happy that you thought of me at all, and that’s such a thoughtful gift. Seriously, I just—... Are you okay with hugs? Can I hug you?”

vldyejun:
no longer
– * with @vldchaewon !
tw dieting
working with chaewon was fulfilling and though she was a novice, still to make her debut, he was proud of how much she’s improved over the course of working with her. because she’s a trainee, he spends a lot of time with her, more so than some of the other older and more experienced idols and artists in the company. there was more to monitor and report on when it came to her and the rest of the girls in the group project. but is it bad to say that chaewon is one of his favorites?
he’s meeting with chaewon early today, fulfilling a prior promise to help her go over some choreography with a one on one session. but on the way, he stops to get some bakery items. nothing big but he adds some fruit and a vitamin c drink to make it “healthy”, although in his experience, the companies didn’t particularly like their trainees and idols to be eating a lot of sugar either, even if it was disguised as something healthy.
“here,” he says as he beckons her to sit on the floor of the dance studio. sunlight is filtering in from the large windows, one of the reasons he’s always first to pick this room. the lighting was enough to keep his emotions neutral and his spirits calm. “i don’t care what they say, you need energy. so let’s eat.” he gives her a smile and hands her some pastries and the fruit and drink he’s gotten specifically for her.
heo yejun is easily one of chaewon’s favorite staff members. she’d never admit to disliking any of them, but when she needs extra help, it’s always yejun that she asks first. mostly because he treats her like a human instead of a machine; when other staff members scold her for breaking her diet, yejun never does. in fact, the diet appears to be the last thing on his mind when he shows up with sustenance that she hadn’t had to ask for.
“i was hoping you’d bring something. did you hear my telepathic pleas?” she jokes as she sits down, offering a small smile. there is a little bit of truth in her statement, though, and she figures that yejun probably knows that too. “thank you,” she adds before biting into a pastry.
it doesn’t take much to make the trainee happy these days, and to her, this is as good as it gets:  eating fruit and pastries on the sun-warmed floor. “honestly, i wasn’t really excited about practice today, but now my day has been made.”

vldmoonsoo:
it was a mystery even to himself, why he kept letting chaewon come spend her time in here. he didn’t talk to her, barely acknowledged her presence for hours on end yet she seemed to always stick around. moonsoo wasn’t sure if he was glad she was still there or not, feeling a slight headache coming on from staring at his screen for too long. maybe he needed a bit of a break, but he was always hard pressed to admit it.
“hey, you could’ve left at any time.” he reminded her motioning towards the door. of course, a part of him would’ve felt bad had she left without saying a word, but he’d never tell her that. instead, he rolled his eyes and shook the container of food towards her again, hoping she’d take it this time. “yes, fine, whatever, i’ll talk to you. just eat.” he huffed, finally just setting the container down on the small table in front of her, sliding his headphones off completely and setting the on his desk in front of him.
glancing at his computer, he minimized all the windows, revealing the background of him and his brothers. it was from a few years ago, probably the last time they’d all been in the same room together. with a sigh, he turned towards chaewon again. “you can’t hear what i’m working on, it’s still way too rough for what i want. but we can talk, as long as you eat.” he glanced at the food again, really hoping she’d take it this time.
Tumblr media
“i know i could’ve left, but i didn’t want to,” chaewon responded with a slight shrug. of course, she’d thought about it, but only because she wanted him to come looking for her for once, and the realistic part of her brain told her that it’d be a while ‘til he even noticed she was gone. and once he did, she thought that the chances he’d care were pretty slim. so she stayed.
almost as soon as he set the container down, she picked it up, but most of her attention was still on him and the computer. especially when she noticed the picture of him—slightly younger—and some other guys. the sight of it made her smile. “i respect that. i know that you’re, like... an artist, and artists don’t like to share unfinished work... i think. but i just want you to know that i don’t care how rough anything sounds; if it’s made by you, then i’d still love it.” and she meant it completely. she wasn’t sure why she admired him so much, since she wasn’t even a particularly big fan of twentytwenty. he was just... cool. even when they were both trainees, she’d thought so.
“i’ve still got a long way to go before i debut, and even longer before i can think of anything beyond lark... and honestly, lark’s good enough for me. i don’t need anything else. but! if i ever go solo, then i hope you can be the producer or composer or whatever of my debut song. assuming that you’d be willing.”

vldaera:
“Piper.” Aera nods resolutely. Her thick accent dilutes it almost into “pah-EE-pah (Paypal??)” but the younger girl seems pretty pleased, so Aera considers herself successful.
With dry acceptance, she realizes that as a senior girl group member (err
more senior than someone else), she should train all her attention on her hoobae, and not on the coffee truck outside with delicious espresso shots
 and vanilla lattes
 and croissants

“Hnnnnng
walk with me, Piper,” Aera says serenely. Not quite ignoring the ducks
more like, she sorta zoned out before, and while, Piper was explaining that the gift was for her. She slings her arm around Piper’s shoulder in a gesture of camaraderie– she has to scrunch down a little, though, ‘cuz she’s got a good ten centimeters on her, at least.
“You know who your best friend’s gonna be? Who your best friend will always be once you start the idol life? Caffeine. Even Areummie, Haminnie, and I have an understanding that caffeine is our fourth sibling, and that we need to make room to love and nourish that relationship with it.” Solemnly, she nods. “Come on. I’ll go buy you a cup.”
It’s then that Aera notices the ducks. “Oh, how cute! Is that a gift for me? Or, wait
it’s probably for a PiP member, huh? ‘Cause their fandom name is Duckie? I think I’d like some for myself, so maybe I’ll go buy some later today. I might make jewelry out of them.”
(Objectively, it’d be a miracle if Piper has not yet figured out that Aera can be a bit of an airhead.)
“I already have a best friend, though,” Chaewon argued. Two of them, actually — Yuri and Stella. Whether or not they’d agree with her, she didn’t know. “Caffeine can try all it wants, but I think I’ll always hold it at a distance. It isn’t healthy, anyway, is it?” She asked, but the healthy aspect wasn’t something that she truly cared about much.
Especially not if her idol was offering to buy a cup for her.
She hadn’t failed to notice that Aera had gotten side-tracked, and she was just about to mention the ducks again, but Aera did first. Silently, the trainee wondered if her words had gone in one ear and out the other. It hurt her feelings a little bit, but she tried not to take it personally. With a smile, she backtracked and repeated what she’d already said.
“These are for you, sunbae. I thought about PiP at first, too, but I decided that I’d rather give them to you. They match your... Your personality, I think.”
Her eccentric personality.
“So you don’t have to buy any! And I think that making jewelry out of them is a great idea.” One that she’d already said, but it appeared that that had gone unheard, too. “If you go through with it, please show me!”

vldyuri:
yuri checks the location for the coffee shop and punches it into her gps, showing chaewon her phone screen when it pops up, “we’re only a few minutes away so yeah let’s do that.” it was weird because yuri never wanted to assume the worst of people but she had heard plenty of horror stories from older idols within the company that it kept her paranoid. she was also just a private person in general; feeling like that privacy was being invaded wasn’t okay to her.
she keeps chaewon close to her as they walk down the street, and she smiles thinking of chaewon’s comment on defending her, “you’re like my tiny knight in shining armor.” she giggles. she hummed, “i wish we had more time to hang out. i’ve missed when we were able to do this all the time without any worries.” she loves her job, of course, but she missed hanging out with her friends; especially when so many of them were debuting in lark.
she moves a stray hair out of chaewon’s face affectionately, “how’s training been by the way? are you getting along with the others in your training group?” she realizes they’ve made it to the coffee shop and holds the door open for the smaller girl, closing it behind them with a quick glance to see if they were still being followed.
“i miss it, too,” chaewon admits, tone temporarily falling in its usual cheeriness. she’s happy that she’s training to be an idol and she’s even happier that yuri already is an idol, but there are plenty of things that she’s recently realized she never appreciated enough before. things she may never experience again. things like going out with friends without being watched.
“all things considered, it’s good,” she answers after a moment of thought. admittedly, she’s getting a bit bored of doing the same thing every single day, only branching out to film more seasons of a show that she’s grown bored of, but that’s uncharacteristically negative of her to say, so she doesn’t. “i think we get along well, yeah. i feel like stella and i have known each other our whole lives. she really feels like a sister, you know? i mean, i like all the members, but having her around really makes things easier.” she wonders if stella would agree or if she’d scoff at the thought.
she takes a few steps towards the counter to take a better look at the menu board, even though she’s certain she’ll order the same thing she always does, if they have it — a new coffee shop doesn’t mean new taste buds, and she isn’t much of a risk-taker.

chaewon doesn’t think she’s ever met a person who she truly didn’t like, but she does favor fantizy members more than most; they’re some of her favorite people to hang out with whether individually or as a group. so when rose had asked her to go to a nail salon together, she had been quick to agree. maybe she shouldn’t have, considering how crucial the company made it seem to spend every waking moment training or thinking about training, but... how was she supposed to say no? especially when free acrylics were involved...
“it’s going... well,” she answers with some hesitance, choosing to focus on rose rather than the technician in front of her. for some reason, she’s always nervous that she’ll make them nervous, and she doesn’t want that. “it just feels like we’re not really getting anywhere since we just keeping filming seasons of our show. i kind of wish we could do something else.” or debut already. but she doesn’t want to seem ungrateful.
“i do try to take breaks when i can, though.” most which entail guilty trips to convenience stores that only last for a few minutes — she usually can’t bring herself to stay away from the practice rooms for too long. “not many actual breaks, though. most of the time, i just go for quick walks or something. maybe i should try to do more stuff like this... i can see how it could provide a motivational boost.”
leisure time
– * with @vldchaewon !
rose knows that her manager would be missing her, calling her and asking where the hell she went to – but right now, while she has a bit of free time, she doesn’t care. he’d just be mad at her and give her some kind of stupid punishment, like no phone for an hour. but rose wants to do something fun with a friend and fellow summit slave. usually, she didn’t interact with trainees but chaewon is a special case so she drags her friend to her favorite nail salon to get their nails done.
right now, rose isn’t promoting so she’s let her nails grow out and they desperately need to be refilled. however, going alone seems kind of depressing so she convinces chaewon to accompany her on the promise of a free set of fresh acrylics.
“how’s training going?” rose asks as the technicians are busy filing away. she uses her free hand to take a drink of water from the small bottle they’ve offered her and watches for any imperfections before looking back to chaewon. “if you want some advice, take breaks. like this! otherwise, i think you get burnt out. i know i need moments like this

vldaera:
Aera was pretty exhausted, which was saying quite a bit, considering her seemingly endless reserves of energy. She’d be the first to admit that “Dance the Night Away” was, perhaps, her favorite comeback they’d had planned since “Signal,” but G O D IT’S SO TIME CONSUMING!!
She’s on the hunt for some espresso when she hears the voice. “Sunbae!”
She really hopes that whoever it is finds their sunbae and casually turns a corner, perking up when she remembers that there’s a coffee truck on Summit campus today, and starts beelining towards it. Then someone’s caught up to her, and—
“
sunbae? You’re talking to me? I’m not
 OHWAITI’MNOTTHENEWESETANYMORE heheh
sorry, I’m just not used to being referred to as sunbae!”
(Also, it’s kind of got her inflating with some hot air.)
“You’re Piper, right? Or did you like to be called by your non-stage name? I know a couple members of my group like to be called by their birthname
” Aera trails off, looking at the coffee truck just outside the glass doors. “No, I’m not busy. I’ve got time. What’s up?”
Honestly, Chaewon doesn’t mind what Aera calls her; the fact that she’s been recognized at all is enough to make her heart swell with insurmountable joy. Within seconds, she’s broken into a grin that seems to stretch from ear to ear. “Piper’s fine!” She answers with a quick nod, then follows Aera’s gaze to the coffee truck outside.
She must be tired. Or maybe she just really likes coffee.
Either way, Chaewon is here on a mission, so she soon tries to get Aera’s attention back on her. “I have something for you, actually. It’s just...” She pauses to dig in her pockets, eventually retrieving the crumpled plastic bag filled with tiny little yellow ducks. Fake, of course. “It’s just something I found, and for whatever reason, it really made me think of you.”
With a nervous laugh, she holds the bag out. “I think you could probably find some use for them, right? Like.. Well, I don’t know. Maybe you could paint a pond and glue them down on it. Or make jewelry out of them. Or just put them on a dresser for decoration?”
Now that she’s thinking about it in overdrive, though, she wonders if she should’ve saved the gift for a PiP member, since their fans are called Duckies...
No, no. There’s no one more deserving of some fake ducks than Aera.

(   summit media headquarters with @vldaera, mid-may   )
To say that Chaewon admired Jeon Aera would be an understatement. The Iota member was everything that Chaewon aspired to be — tall, effortlessly pretty, funny, and... a member of Iota. The very group that had made Chaewon dream of joining the company in the first place; she could still remember how she had felt when she first listened to Like Ooh-Ahh as if it had only been yesterday, instead of four years ago. She tried to play it cool around her in an effort to sustain some kind of friendship ( or at least be memorable ), but most of the time, her admiration shined right on through.
Especially when she presented Aera with gifts; things that she didn’t really know if she’d like, but it was worth a shot. Today, she was carrying a Ziplock bag full of tiny, tiny rubber ducks, just in case she happened to run into Aera. It was just her luck that she turned a corner and saw the idol a little further down the hall, back facing her. “Sunbae!” She shouted, her grin already growing out of control as she picked up her pace to catch up with Aera.
“Wow! This must be fate, right? I was just looking for you! Are you busy?” She asked, words blending together in a rush of energy.

vldmoonsoo:
who: @vldchaewon· where: moonsoo’s studio at summit when: late evening
over the past year, moonsoo’s studio had become absolutely sacred to him, somewhere he found himself hiding away when he needed a break. very few people were allowed in, and it usually wasn’t just to hang out. he was happy to record with people, to help them produce beats and song but the moment they were done, he expected them to be out the door.
he’s not quite sure when that rule stopped applying to chaewon.
he didn’t want her around. or, at least, that’s what he had told her about twenty million times. the girl often reminded him of his younger brother, how he couldn’t seem to shake her off no matter how much he tried. granted, part of it was his fault – she kept knocking and he kept letting her in. if his goal was to make the girl think he hated her, he really was sending confusing messages, even according to himself.
today, at least, she wasn’t being much of a bother. he’d let her in and allowed her to sit on the small two seater couch in the corner of the already cramped space and pretty much ignored her from then on. if she minded, she hadn’t vocalized it yet – or maybe she had, but the noise cancelling headphones moonie wore over his ears effectively blocked out the rest of the world as he worked.
eventually, he could feel the pangs of hunger in his stomach and he knew he needed to eat something. without taking his eyes off his work, he reached into his bag and took out the meal he’d packed for himself, eating as he stared at the large computer screen in front of him. it was only when he was about halfway done the food that he slid off his headphones and held out the container of food towards chaewon, never taking his eyes off his screen. “eat.” a simply command, one that made him frown when she didn’t immediately take the container from him. “you’ve been sitting there for hours, you need to eat something.”
Tumblr media
so far, chaewon had spent much of the time in moonsoo’s studio on her phone; if she’d had any idea of just how long he would ignore her for, then she would’ve brought her nintendo switch. but, she’d gotten her hopes up—as usual—and she’d had to pass the time by scrolling through the same three apps and then taking small breaks to watch moonsoo, occasionally trying to make conversation. conversation with a brick wall, anyway, because he couldn’t hear a word she said, and while she could be annoying, she wasn’t annoying enough to demand his attention.
needless to say, she was ecstatic when he finally acknowledged her.
“it’s been hours already? time just flies with you,” she responded, half-joking — maybe it would’ve flown, if they’d been talking. but she’d felt like every second until now had lasted for days. she glanced at the container with a smile; it was thoughtful things like that that kept her coming around, no matter how many times he called her annoying. she knew that he cared, he just didn’t show it like most people.
and while she wanted to accept the offer ( suddenly, her stomach rumbled ), she was afraid that he’d leave it at that and let the silence resume. “if i eat, will you talk to me? or at least me hear whatever you’re working on?”

vldkijung:
it wasn’t usually surprising to anyone who knew him that kijung was willing to drop just about anything and everything to help someone who needed it. of course, he couldn’t set aside all of his responsibilities, but he considered himself particularly talented in the art of making room for people and their requests in his schedule. he could say no, he was actually just as talented if not more so at putting his foot down when necessary, but if he could make something happen then he would. never mind the cost of his own free time
he could have plenty of that when he was really old.
nodding quietly, kijung listened patiently as chaewon explained what he could easily have put together himself. he didn’t mind, not at all — if he could, he liked to let others do much of the talking anyway. and he certainly wasn’t the type to interrupt someone or put them down for something entirely innocent.
examining the boxes one by one, reading the ingredients and directions, chaewon’s comment on his age caused him to breathe out a laugh. it was true, he definitely wasn’t too young, and he couldn’t fault her for that. “ i usually feel plenty older than i am, so i’m sure i can get into that mindset, ” finally putting the last box back on the counter, kijung stepped back and rested his index finger on his chin as he considered the options, before decidedly grabbing the box of brownie mix, “ does he like chocolate ??  i don’t think you can ever go wrong with brownies. ”
honestly, chaewon couldn’t remember if the man liked chocolate or not. she remembered that when she was in the girl scouts, he’d bought plenty of chocolate-based cookies from her — but she was smart enough to know that that had just been his attempt to show support and help her win awards, not a genuine desire to consume that much chocolate. but it made her sad to admit that she couldn’t remember something as simple as that, so she decided just to wing it. if he didn’t like it, then his kid probably did, at least.
“of course, he loves chocolate!” she exclaimed with an enthusiastic nod, only hoping that it was true. she had a 50/50 shot at being right, and that was good enough for her. “are you good at making brownies? because i’ve tried to bake them so many times, and—...” she abruptly cut herself off, then gave him a look that suggested it was better left unsaid. “i’m not a very lucky person,” she said, and although it seemed like an unrelated statement, it wasn’t; she thought that it explained her horrible baking skills better than anything else could, aside from picture proof of her past failures.
she could recall the process fairly well, though, and so she immediately opened the cupboards to find the dishes she thought they would need: a couple glass bowls for mixing, a glass pan. but then her mind blanked. “is this... enough? too much? do we need one bowl, or both?... what does the box say?” she asked, hesitantly setting the second bowl on the counter. “i mean, i know, but i just want to see if you know.”

a playlist consisting of  8  tracks that remind me of chaewon.   (  listen here + plus one bonus track because spotify doesn’t have track 7  )
track 001: rainbow kitten surprise, painkillers.
“living just comes with a bit of heartache, heartache comes with a bit of young faith faith stays young ‘til your heart gets broken, hope grows up to become someday i’ll never hurt no one and no one will ever hurt me, i believe, i believe, i believe faith plays dumb ‘til the doubts all leave.”
chaewon has always been laughably optimistic. a lot of people misunderstand her as being naive, and she’ll never correct them; she doesn’t think naive is a bad thing to be, anyway. the truth is that she’s just as uncertain as everyone else, but she’s found that the best way to silence her self-doubt is to fake confidence until it becomes real. you could say that she has too much faith in the universe, but sometimes, faith is exactly what you need to become who you want to be.
track 002: lauv, billy.
“to all the people that were mean, he just channeled your energy. and hey, look who’s laughing now, he said thank you for your doubts. and to the people that believed, he just channeled your energy.”
chaewon definitely wasn’t destined to become an idol. she was a clumsy, awkward kid without an ounce of coordination, and when she first started dancing, she was laughed at endlessly — even by her family. everyone tried to gently turn her away from performing, but she pretended that she didn’t know what they were doing and used their laughter as motivation to get better. to make sure that no one would ever have a reason to laugh at her again.
track 003: onlychild, lost.
“together we will never be lost, keep running and we’ll never be caught. and once you get the feeling, don’t stop, together we will never be lost.”
chaewon is the type of person who lives in the moment and takes every risk, regardless of the probability of failure. she believes that the only way to get what she wants out of life is to run towards it without fear — this applies to anything from her bigger goals like becoming an idol to the smaller ones, like just having a good day. she tries to encourage those around her to have the same outlook.
track 004: sleeping at last, body.
“there’s magic in our bones, a north star in our soul that remembers our way home. god, it’s easy to forget that there’s magic in all of this.”
all things considered, chaewon views life as a very beautiful experience. she’s able to find something positive in even the worst circumstances ( even if it’s a reach ), and that optimism helps her to enjoy every moment while it lasts. she’s constantly reminding herself of what a blessing it is so be alive, to be here, to have the opportunities that she has. she’s the only one living life through her eyes, and to her, that’s magical.
track 005: lorde, team.
“we live in cities you’ll never see on screen; not very pretty, but we sure know how to run things. living in ruins of a palace within my dreams and you know, we’re on each other’s team.”
as much as chaewon truly does want to be an idol, she can’t deny how difficult the process is. it takes a toll on even the strongest people, and she’s sure that it will only be harder when she debuts and everyone’s watching even more than they already are. but she doesn’t let the bad things crush her spirits — she’s excited for her future and where it will take not only her, but the other members of lark, too. they’re a team, and as long as she’s with them, she’s confident that she’ll be okay.
track 006: ajr, 100 bad days.
“100 bad days made 100 good stories, 100 good stories make me interesting at parties. no, i ain’t scared of you, no, i ain’t scared of you no more.”
a lot of bad ( ahem —— embarrassing ) things happen to chaewon, but she wouldn’t change any of it. to live a life with no obstacles can hardly be called living, and even if something gets her down in the moment, she can usually look back on it and laugh, or at least be happy that it’s a thing of the past. at this point, she’ll gladly tell life to do its worst.
track 007: alec benjamin, on your speakers.
“tell me you won’t forget. remember the night we met, rewind like an old cassette and i’ll be the song that’s on your speakers, playing for you, you, you.”
everything about chaewon’s life before she became a trainee was inglorious, and in my ways, her life still is. there’s nothing that she’s ever wanted so much as to become someone she can be proud of, someone who can cause the best kind of scene and leave things different than they were before she found them. she’s ready to take on the world, but at the same time, she’s afraid of leaving behind who she was and even who she will be. she never wants things to end, but she knows everything has to, sooner or later, so she only hopes to leave such a mark on people that the memories will remain forever.
track 008: this wild life, catie rae.
“you’ve always been just what i’m missing, but never ever knew. you’ve always earned just what you’re given, never handed to you. you’ll always be my best decision, my one and only truth. you’ll always be my heartbeat, my rhythm, it’s always been you.”
this is a love song, BUT i think it depicts how chaewon feels about lark very well. she’s always wanted to be a performer, but she probably wouldn’t still be so passionate about it if she wasn’t grouped with girls whom she loves to the end of the earth. she always seemed confident & like she knew where she was headed, but chaewon didn’t know what she was walking into when she joined summit media. but she found something better than she ever could’ve hoped for with the girls; her loyalty will always lie with lark.

taewoovld:
Early on in their friendship, Taewoo had learned the hard way that he needed to keep Chaewon’s sticky little fingers away from any part of his outfit that might have pockets. Her habit wasn’t something that reared it’s ugly head every time they saw each other, but it was often enough for him to not to take any chances. Because of this, every hug from the shorter woman was redirected, the Danger leader always pushing her arms up, forcing her to hug him around the back of the neck if she was planning on greeting him that way. Which was a shame, because he really did love a cuddle.
It would be ignorant of the blonde to not assume that this gift Chaewon had for him was stolen. But there was also a guilt feeling gnawing at his insides at the fact he always assumed the worst about the young woman. “You didn’t need to get me anything, really!” The much taller of the two assured her with a light chuckle, holding his hands up defensively as he watched her rummage through her bag, feeling somewhat nervous about the whole ordeal. Is it going to be something he’s going to have to return on her behalf and apologise for?
“Oh that’s
Really thoughtful,” Tae spoke pensively as he took the tiny stop sign from his friend, smile still across his lips. The gesture kind of made sense, but he was still a little confused by it. What really mattered is the way she was looking at him, eyes wide with hope, like she’d just handed over a diamond. “I think I could be able to make a necklace out of it. Then I can wear it all the time. Thank you, I love it.”

For a brief second, Chaewon’s smile fell. It didn’t sound like Taewoo genuinely found it to be thoughtful, but she’d never been very good at reading people and after reminding herself of that fact, she was able to bring her smile back with the same fervor. If he said it was thoughtful ( and that he loved it ), then he must mean it — it couldn’t be any other way. “Good! I’m glad that you like it, it was—... It was really difficult to find,” She explained, but provided no further context. It was for the best if he didn’t know, probably.
“Are you busy?” She asked, although it was a question that should’ve crossed her mind far earlier. Before she’d even asked him to meet. But she wasn’t the kind of person who thought about things in advance, and she probably never would be. “If not, could we walk? And talk? Walk and talk, talk and walk. I’ve got some things I’d like to pick your brain about.”
Except she didn’t. She just didn’t want to admit that the stop sign had been the only reason she’d even wanted to meet in the first place; she’d been excited about it, but it was pretty ridiculous in retrospect. “Before you become such a world renowned popstar that you don’t have the time to talk anymore.” It was just a joke, and she made it obvious enough by the laugh that followed, but she’d be lying if she said it wasn’t something she was worried about with all her friends who would be debuting soon. They wouldn’t be on the same level anymore.

vldsaeun:
It wasn’t like she had visited the Lark dorms too many times before, only a few times in the past to check on the girls. Saeun tried to be the best sunbae, but in reality, Iota’s schedules didn’t allow her too much time to do so. Now that she was recording her solo album, she had the change to be around Summit Media on her own a bit more. Besides, living alone had given her the freedom to go anywhere she wanted without having to let the managers know, or the girls know. All in all, it wasn’t as bad as she had thought it would.
It was so nice to see the younger girl after being away for so long. Well, ten days, but that had been an eternity for many reasons, and all of them had faces and names. “Of course. I’m here to see you, Chae-ah. Are you free now? I’m afraid I have no idea about your schedule, so I decided to come and hope I would find you.” She had brought a few things for all her members, but she had, of course, gotten the most for Chaewon. Saeun didn’t play favorites, she truly didn’t, but the only reason she had gone to the Nintendo Store was to get Animal Crossing merch for Daehyun and Chaewon.
“Do you mind if I come in? I just returned from Japan and I brought some things for you that I hope you’ll like.” She had remembered that Hazel was Chaewon’s favorite, so she had tried to find cute things with that character on them. And other things as well, but she would show her all. “But if you’re busy, I can come back another day.”
Chaewon raised her wrist to look at her metaphorical watch, pretending to check the time. She then moved her hand to rub her chin, frowning like she was in some kind of predicament. Trying to put on a show, of course. But after a few dramatic seconds, she looked at Saeun again with the biggest smile. “It’s your lucky day! I’ve got nowhere to be right now, nothing to do. In fact, I was just lying around miserably, wishing I’d get a visitor. You must’ve felt it, huh?” She tapped her nails against the door frame in excitement, then backed away to let Saeun in.
“Sure, sure, come in! It’s a little messy right now because... Well, just because. No reason, really. It shouldn’t be,” She explained, sparing a nonchalant look over her shoulder to gauge the extent of the mess. The socks, shoes, scarves and skirts on the floor were all because of her; although she’d claim she hadn’t been doing anything, she’d taken advantage of most of the other girls not being home to have a mini fashion-show. They’d probably have a fit if they saw their belongings all over the floor, but that was a problem she’d save for later. “Just step over any... Any obstacles in your path.”
She laughed, then — the kind of laugh that was reserved for guilty children who knew that they’d done wrong. A laugh that would surely follow her until she was old and gray. “Oh, by the way — how was Japan? I’ve been thinking of asking you about it since... Well, since you left for Japan, actually!”
