I agree with this statement, communication is needed so that the development is possible. Communication for Development is a social process that relies on discussion and employs a variety of instruments and strategies. Listening, creating trust, sharing knowledge and skills, developing policies, arguing, and learning are all part of the process of bringing about lasting and meaningful change.

Quantum physics, in particular, conceives the universe as an inter-connected web of relations.

4. BIOLOGY

5. CYBERNETICS

If we were to incorporate the systems concept of cybernetics into these arguments and apply these on a societal level, we may say that communication is critical for societal maintenance and survival.

Development Communication is a driving force for change. Being able to grasp the importance of development in communication will assess the social problems in society because people will know the strength and weaknesses of societal problems. The strengths will be improvised and developed while the weaknesses will eventually be lessened and luckily they might become strengths.

Convergence of Media

Media convergence refers to the merging of previously distinct media technologies and platforms through digitization and computer networking. This is also known as technological convergence. Media convergence is also a business strategy whereby communications companies integrate their ownership of different media properties. This is also called media consolidation, media concentration, or economic convergence.

Cybernetics

Cybernetics is the science of control and communications in animals, including humankind, and machines. The study of cybernetics has been used in various ways since ancient times to attempt to explain and understand and manage the effective workings of all manner of systems - social, organizational, animal, mechanical, electronic, and others. As such, the cybernetics concept is immensely relevant to the modern development of management, and one's role and potential within systems of all kinds.

Knowledge Management

Knowledge management seems to me to be process driven; a way of getting knowledge to permeate the business so that best practice is shared.  It can, although not always, be hierarchical.

Mass vs. Interpersonal

Though all communication includes transmitting messages from a source to a receiver, interpersonal communication and mass communication differ in many ways. When a conversation is going on between two people – and sometimes a few people – interpersonal communication is occurring. This type of communication is more personal than mass communication, and feedback occurs often and right away.  As a result, communicating interpersonally makes it hard to be able to tell who is the source and who is the receiver.  Since interpersonal communication involves immediate feedback, this type of communication allows people to quickly determine similar and different cultures.

Memetics

Memetics is the study of information and culture based on an analogy with Darwinian evolution. Proponents describe memetics as an approach to evolutionary models of cultural information transfer. Memetics describes how an idea can propagate successfully, but doesn't necessarily imply a concept is factual.

Communication is the demonstration of giving, receiving, and sharing information. Talking or composing, and tuning in or writing. Good communicators listen cautiously, it is where exchanging thoughts happen. To have an understanding of communication the receiver must get the message clearly so that the flow of exchanging messages will take place.

ACTIVITY 5.3 Communication is a Process. Why should be discussed?

“The Communication is a two-way process wherein the message in the form of ideas, thoughts, feelings, opinions is transmitted between two or more persons with the intent of creating a shared understanding.”

It should be discussed so that others will know where they are lacking and what more to be said clearly to be understood by your receivers. Communication happens in so many ways we don't seem to notice. It runs in so many processes as revealed that communication can be improved and interrupted by barriers.

3.1 The Hatching Process

Answers:

1. Because the "chick becomes more active and engages in a form of struggle to free itself from constraints."

2. The force comes from the chick inside the egg.

4. Struggle and difficulties make the society give its best until eventually, it will reach its full potential, and then, in the long run, all parts of its system will know how important letting the development takes place for them to see its strengths and capabilities.

5. Trusting owns strengths and capabilities by letting the natural process takes place for greater development.

6. He told Pepito the right thing to do yet the greater damage can be avoided if he chose not to let Pepito take the cocoon and bring it home and, he is also responsible for the tragedy knowing that Pepito's age is not yet fully developed to absorb the full idea of development.

Every day, 95 children in the Philippines die from malnutrition. Twenty-seven out of 1,000 Filipino children do not get past their fifth birthday. A third of Filipino children are stunted, or short for their age. Stunting after 2 years of age can be permanent, irreversible and even fatal. — (UNICEF)

The Philippines performed poorly on child stunting or chronic malnutrition, which affects more than 30 percent of children across the country; child mortality or children dying before they reached the age of five, which constitutes 28 percent of deaths per 1,000 live births; and teenage pregnancy, with the country’s 62.7 percent adolescent birth rate.

In 2020 Philippines public debt was 187,018 million dollars, has increased 47,719 million since 2019.

This amount means that the debt in 2020 reached 51.68% of Philippines GDP, a 14.71 percentage point rise from 2019, when it was 36.97% of GDP.

If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Philippines debt. It has risen since 2010 in global debt terms, when it was 99,260 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 47.59%.

According to the last data point published, Philippines per capita debt in 2020 was 1,719 dollars per inhabitant. In 2019 it was 1,298 dollars, afterwards rising by 421 dollars, and if we again check 2010 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,066 dollars .

The position of Philippines, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2020 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 88 in the list of debt to GDP and 70 in debt per capita, out of the 190 we publish.
