Danny Fenton comes into a new town and strange things start happening. People start disappearing, weird creatures spawn from nowhere, and there's a new sheriff in town claiming he's got the means to put a stop to it.

More about the crow in lost ghosts (yes it's grown more lore):

It possibly has three legs.

It's iridescent like a lot of corvids are, something shifting between red and green.

Does this design mean anything? Yeah! That the form of the three legged crow in Chinese mythology, minus the sun spirit thing, plus the blue(or green) bird that's the messenger for the West King Mother which sometimes is also three legged.

Now, is this even relevant to the story? No, probably not. The crow really don't have anything to do with the plot, and I'm not exactly using the mythical birds for it's intended purposes. Although I might make Ducra the West King Mother for fun, at least the early depictions of her, so messenger birb is still on the table.

Listen you don’t have to read comics to like comic characters. They can be hard to get into and sometimes you don’t know where to start. (I do recommend you read character wikis as a good starting point and then pick up whatever comics sound interesting) All I ask is that you please don’t go around stating things as fact because someone else said it was. A lot of people, especially fans on TikTok, have been spreading misinformation because they never read the comic and took someone’s word for it and headcanons have now been treated like facts. This has been especially prevalent in the Batman community

Please just check for yourself before stating something as canon

Danny is a damn good mechanic. Working on his parents automobiles have made how he works on vehicles a bit unorthodox. Why disassemble half of the entire car to get to the battery when you could just go in intangibly? OSHA is a scam and a fraud. So what if Nightwing sees him put tension on some coil springs he needs to add back to a cars suspension BY HAND BY SQUISHING IT DOWN and using safety squints while he secures everything in place. He also can MacGyver up absolutely anything you’ll ever need and anything you never should ever attach to your vehicle. All he asks is that no one ever repairs that part besides himself till the end of time or risk a chance of the item exploding in your face. Is it made out of half a toaster and a raspberry pi? Yes. It can however allow you to see the real time positions of any cop within 25 miles and that’s worth rapid disassembly.

What is an outsider perspective?

An outsider perspective is a narrative trope where a story is told from a point of view outside the main storyline. It is particularly popular in fanfiction because it allows a series of events to take place completely out of context from the narrative perspective, but the reader already knows, or at least has an idea of, what is happening.

How does this work?

Each day except for “Episode Rewrite Day” and “Reddit Post/Advice Column Day”  will have two perspective prompts. Write from the perspective of a character who matches one of the prompts (or in the format specified by the prompt). Once you write your piece, post it on Tumblr and/or Ao3 and tag it. Any works that are appropriately tagged with #dpopw will be reblogged to this blog and/or added to the Ao3 collection.

Do you have to write for every prompt?

Not at all! Write however much you want about whatever you want. Combine prompts, skip days, go wild! The goal is to have fun!

Are crossovers allowed?

Yes! Crossover day is on Wednesday and has crossover-centric prompts! 

Can I write a non-crossover for crossover day?

Sure!

Are OCs allowed?

Yes! And encouraged!

Why are three prompts on Day 6 instead of two like the other days?

I couldn’t decide which prompt to drop, then realized that, since this is my event, there are no rules except for the ones I make. Therefore, there are three prompts on Day 6.

What happens if I don’t follow the rules?

If these prompts spark your creativity in a way that doesn’t align with the rules of the event, feel free to still use them! However, please do not tag the event on your tumblr posts nor select the collection on A03 if you do as they will not be reblogged or allowed to be added. The current Nightwing run where he has a sister???

Jimmy Olsen suddenly Knowing Someone that’s related or plot relevant???

Sosososo many other characters that just appear from the future going “I’m related to you because [x] and I’m here because [y]”

A random Kryptonian suddenly appearing wether an escapee from Krypton, a Villain, or a look alike (not clone) that’s suddenly Now There because it’s silver age comics and fuck it OG clickbait we ball???

Like what??? Y’all they’re not going to assume they have a clone. Stuff like this happens all the time in comics for the sake of magic plot convince. They’ve done this rodeo so many times they’d just go with the flow and go “Aw shit not again”

I enjoy Fanon as much as the next guy but y’all choosing canon related lore can introduce so much more cool and interesting character and plot choices! Have Danny get shocked that the hero suddenly accepts it all and proceeds with the plot.
