I'VE BEEN PUTTING OFF POSTING THEM BUT I BOUGHT 3(now 4 but ignore that fact) ADOPTABLES FROM @head---ache AND I DREW THEM ALL REF SHEETS I was mostly debating if i was going to post them here or on my main but this account was literally made for posting sonic art soooooooo. Idk what possessed me to draw these guys either lol, i just Isabella aka Izzy is a sonadow kid who's powers seem to be dormmate/ have yet to show. She competes in hoverboard racing competitions using a upgraded version of her dad's old original hoverboard. She also is a chao babysitter when she has the time. Izzy does want to be a hero like her dads were but has accepted that maybe that wasn't in the cards for her....until Ver shows up. (Any pronouns) Melody aka Melon is a Surgamy kid who's best friends with Izzy. The two actually met officially while competing for a smaller race when they were kids. i don't have much about melody but she is very strong (She/Her) Ver's name is temperory, a nickname made because i kept calling her Shadilver kid, cause she is! Ver isn't from the same reality as izzy and Melon, she comes from a differant future where Shadow and Silver end up together, a future that is in danger. Ver's fathers were loving yes but also very serious, there wasn't much time for fun or games, always on the move, always fighting off danger, she never really had a chance to be a kid. They both did try to keep life normal and to hopefully shield her as much as they could from the destoryed world around her. It's when she's 13 that her papa(silver), goes missing, things get more serious. Shadow kinda becomes like Kratos from God of War 4 towards Ver, Serious and no nonesense, a goal is set in mind, the goal to find out what happened to silver. It's rough and that trip changed her relationship with her father(even if he meant well) Eventually, at around age 17, things get drastic enough that Shadow, seeing how this reality, this world wasn't gonna hold up much longer, used what was left of the chaos emeralds, what was left of his powers to push ver into a different reality with an i love you, i'm proud of you, take care of yourself, and to not look back. Ver was now pushed into Izzy and Melon's reality, but she was not going to let that go, no she was going to find the emeralds, she was going to get back home, she was going to change realities and save her dads even if it meant destroying this world to do it. ......anyways as you can see i have so many loving thoughts about ver <3

Now that the quality of Duolingo has fallen (even more) due to AI and people are more willing to make the jump here are just some alternative apps and what languages they have:

"I just want an identical experience to DL"

Busuu (Languages: Spanish, Japanese, French, English, German, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Polish, Turkish, Russian, Arabic, Korean)

"I want a good audio-based app"

Language Transfer (Languages: French, Swahili, Italian, Greek, German, Turkish, Arabic, Spanish, English for Spanish Speakers)

"I want a good audio-based app and money's no object"

Pimsleur (Literally so many languages)

Glossika (Also a lot of languages, but minority languages are free)

*anecdote: I borrowed my brother's Japanese Pimsleur CD as a kid and I still remember how to say the weather is nice over a decade later. You can find the CDs at libraries and "other" places I'm sure.

Mango (Languages: So many and the endangered/Indigenous courses are free even if you don't have a library that has a partnership with Mango)

Transparent Language: (Languages: THE MOST! Also the one that has the widest variety of African languages! Perhaps the most diverse in ESL and learning a foreign language not in English)

AnkiDroid: (Theoretically all languages, pre-made decks can be found easily)

AnkiApp: It's almost as good as AnkiDroid and free compared to the official Anki app for iphone
