I'm not an active tumblr user but everybody heard me scream when I opened tumblr today and saw the post for lsicm 12th chapter???? I'm sooooo excited for this I love this story so much, your writing is so great and this is far one of my favorite fics of all time. Love Song in C Minor - Chapter Twelve

Summary:

Sendak pauses and glances between Keith and Lance. He nods at Axca, who pulls out one more paper.

“This is our solution. A fake romance between Keith Kogane, upcoming lead in Love on Daibazaal, and Lance McClain, leading man of Voltron.”

The silence that overtakes the room is deafening. Keith freezes and Lance’s jaw drops when Axca lays the paper down in front of them. Across the top is a mock headline: All You Need to Know About Hollywood’s New Darling Couple: Lance McClain and Keith Kogane.

Lance wakes up single with a hangover and goes to bed in a relationship with a stress migraine.

Excerpt:

It’s funny, hilarious, how Lance always pictured falling in love as this cataclysmic, flashy, extraordinary event. Boom—and a confetti canon spells ‘love’ in the sky. Bang!—and the love of his life climbs out of a limousine into his arms. Crash—and a halo of incandescent lightbulbs says to him: this is the edge of the cliff. Take one more step.

She’s wearing cherry red lipstick and her laugh glitters like a Hollywood star. He’s fitted into an Armani blazer and swills champagne in a flute. They dazzle him into submission, and he knows—as the Red Sea parts and they follow the sound of his voice and guitar—he’s in love.

Maybe, instead, he’s been falling in love for a while.

I still love your story lsicm it's very beautifully written, seeing klance progress through the struggles of the industry and homophobia and still making it out stronger is amazing. Kind of giving me Larry stylsion vibes lol, I hope you continue one day but if not I want you to know you made my day better with a brilliant fic to read all the kudos to you ❤

 i know it’s been aaaaages since i posted, but i wanted to answer this to say thank you for the kind words <33 i’m so so glad you enjoyed it, and that people still enjoy it in general! even tho it’s still unfinished it’s the best thing i’ve written to date. and YES to the larry stylinson vibes, i was In That for years and have also written finished larry fics you can check out ;) but don’t judge my writing shhh it was so long ago

i DO really want to finish it, it feels sad to leave it undone when i still get excited about the ending. i have the next chapter written and everything, so i’ve been debating doing a quick typo check and throwing it up for the couple people who would like it. even if i don’t update again after that, i think that’d be nice

Seriously cant believe I've only just found your fic like? It's great, fave part was when Keith invited Lance over for dinner with Adam and shiro, I love how open and comfortable he is with Lance to allow that. I also really enjoyed that extra part from Keith's pov. Keith spending time with lances family is going to give me so many feels I look forward to more 😂. Will Keith's adoptive parents make an appearance in the fic, and does Keith know anything about his bio parents? 💛

omg thank you!! i forgot about that dinner scene with adam and shiro and now i’m smiling. it really shows their progress emotionally. and honestly keith’s parents don’t make an appearance, nor does he know or actively search for his bio parents. he’s not really close with his adoptive parents anymore, nor shiro, considering their less than ideal treatment of him. i’ve thought about how krolia would reach out to keith after the events of lsicm, but that’s as far as it goes. thank you for reading <33

life is going ok! i’m this close to being promoted to the highest position at the student newspaper i work at, my girlfriend and i will be together 5 months next week, and i’m improving like slightly mentally, which i call a win considering the state of the world. i’m really looking forward to my last semester at this school starting, honestly. how are YOU??

Hiya! I'm thinking about how the band might sound irl, do you imagine Lance with the same voice as his VA because I know Jeremy Shada is in a band called Make Out Monday. My friend who reads your fic pictures Voltron being similar to Sheppard, especially with their music video 'Geronimo'. Its kinda fun to think that every person who has read your fic probably imagines voltron to sound like some other artist. But yea whatd you think of?

every little everything and kissaphobic by make out monday... reluctant jams. and i got an ask a long time ago about vld sounding like sheppard! i think they recommended coming home? and now i have that on my lsicm playlist. 

i do imagine that lance sounds like jeremy shada, but i think make out monday is too... punky? i would sooner compare lsicm voltron to 5 seconds of summer. kinda alternate but part of the pop scene. 

i LOVE when people send in songs and bands and what they think voltron would sound like, honestly, it really motivates me that people enjoy lsicm enough to talk to me about what they think of it

I love your fanfic, you write Keith and lances dynamic so well, it's also really beautiful to watch Lance become more comfortable expressing his sexuality, stories like these can be so helpful for someone struggling with their identity, myself included. Not really an ask but 😂

thank you!! honestly, i was/still am (but like i REALLY was) a super huge fan of one direction, and 2015 was like... their best year. i think 2015 was a peak of big fandom i had friends in, a band growing into their own creativity, and a social media environment that really inspired lsicm. i spent like an embarrassing amount of time online in the 1d fandom in 2015... what a year
