according to me. not open for debate.

andrei is brunette. i know he's described as "dark" in that one scene, but before that he's repeatedly described as "fair" in ways that clearly are not talking about his personality, and I just think no matter how fair his complexion, it's odd how often it's used if his hair was very dark. he is brunette to fair or dark. and i love that for him

the fact it's specified that nikolai buttoned up his hussar jacket over his dress (for reference that jacket looks like this)

with that image in mind, there's nothing like nikolai admiring his own thighs in his tight hussar pants while he flirts with married women in front of their husbands

andrei has small hands. dainty.

that exchange between andrei and pierre that goes like "I'm depressed" "Me too, sometimes I don't even wash because I'm too depressed" "Why wouldn't you wash? That's basic hygiene" thanks, andrei (there is, in seriousness, so much to unpack about their characters in this interaction but in the meantime it lives in my head rent free)

the way denisov disappears for 300 pages, is randomly spotted in the streets only identified to the weaders by his mispwonunciation, and then another hundred pages or so later is confirmed alive and well

honestly denisov in general? unproblematic. he celebrates christmas with the rostovs for years to come!!! he's lovely

epilogue nikolai being a terrible mean man. i do love him
