Introducing our new intern, Emilie Pulecio
First I would like to proudly say that I have a passion for social services. My goal has always been to reach out to people and try to help as much as possible. I believe in sticking together in order to succeed together. My mother is a victim of domestic violence and I saw a lot growing up. For this reason I would like to give back and dedicate time to help woman and children in need. For the past five years I have done some volunteering with the Cheer Me Up Foundation through my previous job at Nanina's in the Park where we volunteered to make over 500 Thanksgiving baskets each year for families in need in surrounding towns. I've volunteered at a Christmas parties for children with disabilities at Nanina's and we have also gone to the Children's Cerebral Palsy Center in Belleville on Valentine's Day to make sure they have a smile on their face. I feel that learning from your association will help me develop a better sense of what it's like to work within social services. My goal is to one day start my own non-profit organization for women and children whether they come from abusive backgrounds or they are just in general need of a safe place to go. I've always felt the need to make the world a better place even if it takes one person at a time. Being there for others and making someone feel hope is a life changing feeling and I would like to join your team so that I can be a part of your wonderful association and be able to get more hands on experience in the field.

Hi my name is Dhara Rana and I am applying to be an intern at WAFAA Organization. I am currently a senior at Montclair State University. I have also been a president of an organization on campus which has given me many skills such as event planning, organizing, budgeting and social skills to help further the growth of organization itself. I am also currently a part time teacher aid at a preschool in Paterson. I am interested in working with WAFAA because of the various ways they find to help the community. I believe that WAFAA will expose me to many new experiences as well as giving me an opportunity to work with a non profit organization for the first time. I really appreciate the way WAFAA Works hard to provide many resources for women and families. I am very flexible as well as moldable and willing to learn new things. I would be honored to be part of an organization that has accomplished so many achievements.

Introducing our new intern, Nicole Paluzzi. I want to work for you because I have seen far too much domestic violence first hand, but what I had not seen until now is an organization that has so many different support systems in place to fight it. I like that you do not just have counseling and crisis intervention, but also career management and court assistance and translators. I want to help you fund these programs

Hello, my name is Neerali Patel and I am a student at Stony Brook University. I major in psychology and hope to be a psychiatrist one day. I discovered the Wafaa Organization as I was searching for internships and felt extremely drawn to their cause. I want to make a difference in the community and the WAFAA Organization seemed like the best way to do so. I am interested in how WAFAA helps women who have suffered domestic abuse and I am deeply passionate about this cause. I am also excited to help provide for the needs of families through the educational and social programs WAFAA offers. Especially now, it is important for women to have a safe place they can go to in the community and WAFAA provides just that. I would love to be apart of this organization and bring some good into the lives of people that need it. https://www.instagram.com/p/ByCMU-BJB67/?igshid=8tva5gd2nqsx
