In Mourning

Is it wrong to mourn the person I once was?

A wall with Barbed wire keeping everything out

The wall has since fallen into a pile of debris from something I made with my own hands.

Bloody hands that had placed each stone

The hands of a child so desperately trying to protect themselves

I mourn the work I have been forced to do.
