           he’s grinning like a five year old now but he can’t help it,            feeling like a facetious kid who just pulled a really good            prank, until he remembers  the consequences. & he’s the                                  one being pranked now.

                                 he hated when girls cried. he hated when girls he cared                               about more than himself cried. he is looking at her & he is                        hoping she won’t cry;; only because he doesn’t want the leviathans                              to be the last thing he sees. he wants to see her ravishing,                               breathtaking smile that could move mountains. & then he’ll                            die happy. but he can’t tell her to be strong when he isn’t. he                            can’t tell her not to cry, because people cried when they have                           been strong for too long. he looks at her & he wants to see her                             face  illuminating  with  happiness,  but  instead,   he   sees                                                  d e s p a i r.

                        she knows there is no hope for him. the hope for dean                         winchester has been lost since the moment he had given                         up in the flames of the inferno. & the righteous man shed                         blood in hell.he doesn’t flinch when she touches his face,                         mostly because he can’t feel anything anymore. he is used                         with the physical ache, so much, it’s almost familiar. all he                         feels is the causticity & sempiternal  SILENCE inside of him.

                                                 for the first time,     connie  can  feel   pessimism set in.         she  knows  death  awaits   both   of  them,   even  if  they  try  setting their  foot         out  of  this  warehouse.  it  is  surrounded   by  those  deadly  creatures  she's         just learnt  the  names  of.       why  wasn't   the    other   winchester  coming  to         their  rescue?         she  wasn't   ready   to  die,    she   had  so  much left  to  do.         her  dreams  were  yet  left  to  be  fulfilled,     she  wanted  to travel  the   world,         fall  in  love,  have a   family.       beside   all   this,    she   wasn't  ready  to  see           her       ‘ emerald-eyed  goof ’    leave   so  soon,  along  with  her.

                                                             ❝  do you promise me?  ❞

                                        she  knows  he's  not.   it's a   BLANK  lie.   but  she  was                    stuck  firm  to  her  decision.   there  was  no  way  they  were  going                    to  die  so young,     especially   alone.        if  they  had  to,    if  there                    was  no  other  choice,    they'd  face  it  together.

                         one  small thing  he  says.  ten  words,  stringed  in  a  sentence            &   tears  well up  in  her  eyes  again.   she   deprives   him  of  his  demand,            and     buries     herself    low  in his  chest,       her     arms   locked    strongly              behind  him,   her   head  resting  against  his collar bone.     the  rusty  smell            of   blood    now   fills   her   lungs   but   she   cannot  feel  it.     there   is  only            warmth,     for  her.   sobs  fill  her  voice,  but  she  manages  to stutter.     her            tone  is  firm,   &   yet  it  is  so  soft.
