Hey guys, just stopping by quickly to share a couple of photos on my take of Erik Killmonger. I made this doll a few years ago.
Of course my favorite part was making his hair, but giving him a chain kind of was my favorite part as well.
Hope everyone is doing well in such trying times.

Handmade Attuma and Okoye dolls. I'm telling you right now -- Okoye may be a bit taller than Attuma, but I still swear that Attuma was much harder to make than Okoye... Well, except for her tattoo! π¬π§

I didn't get a chance to put up a little video clip of Attuma on my YouTube channel yet, but I thought to share a couple of newer photos of him.

I can't even remember how I started with Attuma, but he literally was all blue yarn except for his hair -- and then suddenly piece by piece he came to be.
I worked with the colors I had on hand and put my own spin on things here and there. He was so much fun to make and I realized then just how fast things change when you get around to adding detail.
Attuma is one of the few dolls that just looks amazing in any setting I place him in. Taking dolls outside sometimes creates a glare or harsh shadows, but all of the colors just work well which makes taking photos of him a lot of fun and I guess, striking, in a way -- and okay, so maybe I like the color blue too. π€·π½ββοΈπ
I still remember when I was cleaning up the apartment one day, and I decided to take a break, and went on my Harvest Yarns Instagram and saw that Alex Livinalli himself liked a post I made showing my Attuma doll. I remember thinking it must be a fan account, but then I asked a friend and they told me it looks like it's really his account to me.
That's something I never expected. My deal is I love to make dolls and many things out of yarn, pop them in my Etsy Shop, or sell them locally/by word of mouth, and just keep things moving. It was wonderful of him to take the time to comment, though. I think he also shared it to his story which was why I saw such an increase in likes for that post.
It was June 5, 2023
For some reason I always imagined my Namor doll would sell along with Attuma, but Attuma is still here with me while Namor found his forever home awhile ago.
Who knows where Attuma will end up, but he'll be well kept until that day. π

Hey All,
It's been a minute since I've had the chance to post on this side blog and a minute since I've had the chance to make more Black Panther character dolls. (I'm open for custom orders if anyone is interested. Just be sure to email me with the email provided below.) π
Recently I wanted to take some new photos and even video clips of my work, including my Black Panther dolls so I could share them on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and here.
While I think of my Black Panther dolls as Wakanda Fibers, my dolls are available under my small handmade business named Harvest Yarns (hence the branding on some of my photos).
Feel free to follow my blog here or my social media accounts if you'd like to see more of my art, including my Black Panther dolls. I also have an Etsy Shop (everything is under "HarvestYarns" -- shout out and a big thank you to the Black Panther fan that purchased my purple Black Panther doll as well as Namor. It was incredible to have another fan purchase those dolls from me! π
Before I get back to my yarn, I wanted to share a YouTube Shorts I just posted of the Okoye doll you see above. Please check it out, give me a follow if you're into handmade work, and of course drop a comment if you're a fan of Black Panther, a Marvel fan in general, or a fan of Danai! I truly appreciate it! πππ§Ά

The colors just really came together for this doll figurine of Okoye, I always think when I stop to look at it.
Not a new doll, but I haven't shared my listed Black Panther dolls in a while.
Hope everyone has a great start to their week and of course -- Wakanda Forever ππ

Hey guys, it's been awhile since my last post, but I'm still around -- just been busy making all sorts of dolls with yarn and some in new styles for my Etsy Shop, but also for custom orders.
I hope everyone is doing well. I really wish we had some Black Panther news, like a new movie or even some TV shows for Disney+ but so far I don't think there's been anything (unless I am wrong then please let me know because HELLO!!! π)
It's turning cold here where I live, but nothing like snow in the air... But I'm sure I will be seeing a bit of it soon enough in the coming months.
Here are some photos from two winters ago of my personal Okoye and Everett Ross dolls outside my place in the snow.
I haven't gotten around to making any new black panther dolls, but I still have Okoye and Attuma available. And I'm also open for custom orders if anyone is interested (black panther related or not).
Anyway, thanks for checking out my art as usual. πππ§Ά

New photos of an Okoye and my only Attuma, crocheted figurine dolls, that are currently in my Etsy shop. They're not a set / true pair and were never intended to be. Okoye is a wee bit taller than Attuma when they are next to each other.
What I loved best about making both of them was the chance to really bring in all the different colors of yarns -- especially with Attuma who literally just started out being blue from head to foot.
It's really fun to take in their outfits from what I see in images/screencaps of them and then put a bit of a spin or a lot of a spin by changing colors and creating shapes to give them that whole tribal/cultured look.
And adding buttons adds a little something extra, too! πͺ‘
I had to take a few months off from my art due to health issues, but I'm doing my best to get back on my feet and hope to make some more Black Panther character doll figurines. π

These little purple flowers make me think of T'Challa and (now) Shuri. They show up every year, but they leave quickly (or the landscaper guys mow over them!)
I took this photo a few days ago just in time (because the following day the landscapers arrived!)
Last year I think I only managed to take a photo of T'Challa with these flowers, but I don't think I took a photo of T'Challa and Shuri together. I'm glad I was able to!
Anyway -- Happy Wednesday to Black Panther fans. ππ

Today I managed to make a 15 minute video, or so, of how I go about making my dolls from start to finish, and decided to take one of my crocheted heads and make my second version of T'Challa which is a lot like my first because I made him in the same outfit the last time. π
The video is here if anyone is interested in taking a glance.

Also, T'Challa is currently available in my Etsy Shop where I am having a 25% off sale on all of my handmade items. Feel free to follow my shop if you're over on Etsy!

Happy Weekend!
Okoye has finally arrived! I know, it took longer than expected. I had her head in a wicker basket just waiting around for a body since what feels like as long ago as March or May, but I am so happy to see her completed!
Edited to say: Okoye is now available in my Etsy Shop.

Namor and Black Panther were purchased from my shop recently, but Attuma and Nakia are still available.
I hope to make a few more dolls and get them in my shop as soon as I can. I know I have an Okoye in the works... Just trying to figure out what I want her outfit to look like and I may either put one of my Everett Ross dolls I made sometime last year. I also may put up my Shuri doll in her purple track suit so be on the look out if you're interested.
Thanks again for any likes/shares/purchases of my art. It really means a lot to me. Have a great day! ππ§Ά

I usually don't post many photos of packaging my orders, and they're always different, but this is the first purchase I have had for any of my Black Panther dolls and I was really excited to be able to send some Valentine's Day cards I bought last year, along with the pencils that came with it, with the dolls.
To whoever purchased Namor and the Panther, thank you for choosing to purchase from me. ππ
