Something I need people to understand about my byler doubt, although it's almost nonexistent, is that its origin does not lie in the possibility of Mike rejecting Will. We've been shown multiple times how Mike longs for Will, how he acts with Eleven vs how he acts with Will. This guy is the definition of actions speak louder than words.

No, my byler doubt is built on the fear of queerbait, or just Netflix being like "nah, we are sticking with the toxic straight ship just to conform". And the more I think about it, the less byler doubt I have. Because you'd have to be crazy to not get this two boys their happy endings.

I'm almost 97% sure Byler will be canon, because this time I have hope.

I see so many Milevens saying Mike and El have been together since season 1 and throughout the whole series and even using it as a "proof" that Milevens is endgame.

Well let me explain to you how they were actually not together since season 1, and were not a thing for much more than a few months.

So, let's start with season 1, Mike kisses El at the end but they are not together, Eleven doesn't even know what a romantic relationship is at the time. El disappears, they still aren't together.

During season 2 El is far away until the end. They hug and have an "almost kiss" scene but still by the end of this season, they aren't together.

At the beginning of season 3 they are finally dating, it's been a few months since the end of season two. El breaks up with Mike they aren't together anymore. At the end of the season El kisses Mike tells him she love him the Byers are moving to Lenora.

6 months after the end of season 3 they (Mike and El) meet again at the airport, they are together until their fight. El is away again and they didn't get to talk about what happened. As Mike said it seems like a fight you "can't come back from" they are not together anymore.

Mike tells El he loves him, it should have saved their relationship but still, by the end of the season El isn't talking to Mike. They aren't together.

Mike and El only spent a total of a few months in a relationship together, they were not built up the same way an "endgame" powerful couple that has know each other for years is supposed to be. They were actually barely built up before being broken down multiple times.

Even if Byler ends up not being endgame, Mileven is not going to end up a couple either.

i think one of the key differences is that; the reason mike and el fight is because they ARE in a relationship, whereas the reason mike and will fight is because they AREN’T in a relationship.
