I need people in this fandom to stop catastrophizing whenever a new bts picture or other general bts comes out.

First it was: OH NO! Eddie is in a church. He will become super religious and that's his entire season 8 arc.

Then it was: OH NO! Buck is choosing Gerrard's side because he is golfing with him.

Let's all take a step back, take a deep breath, drink some water and start using all of our higher brain functions.

First: Why would ABC waste all of this promo and hype on Eddie if his entire arc would revolve around him becoming super religious? What will he do next in season 9? Become another hot priest? The Pope maybe? Come on guys. That would literally be the most anticlimactic storyline ever and a waste of a possibly epic storyline that will get ABC a lot of attention from the press.

Second: Why would Evan Buckley... Buck, who would literally DIE for his friends and chosen family, decide to side with a man who treated and probably still treats his friends with absolute horrible disrespect (racismn, misogyny... you name it.)? It does not make a lick of sense! Truth is that we don't know why he is golfing with Gerrard and we'll probably only know when the episode airs. But you can all be 100% certain that Buck is not willfully there to try and make friends with Gerrard. NOT HAPPENING! Not in a billion gazillion years.

So can we just move on from those bad takes and all the negativity? Then we can proceed to think logically about this bts and what else might be going on.
