I swear to god, having this and the rest of the Japanese music with the English Voice acting is my equivalent of getting DBZ uncut with the funimation guitar solos.

Angrily, she stood up and whipped out her phone, pointing angrily at the time shown, "Takuya, you are so la--" Her eyes widened as she caught sight of the flashing digital clock on the screen.
"You're... early. Oh my god." Mouth agape, she stared at her friend from across the café, momentarily speechless.
"You're early! Takuya Kanbara is early everyone!"
With a little skip of excitement, Izumi bounded to the entrance and gave the brunet a massive noogie, for old times sake.
Completely disregarding his obvious breathlessness, she tugged at his sleeve, pretty much dragging the poor guy to their table and sitting him down. They had no time to lose here; there was a very urgent matter that needed resolving.
"C'mon goggle-head! Hurry up! I'm starving." Without wasting a single second, she grabbed his arm again and waved it at the waitress. "We're both ready to order!" The blonde flashed a wide smile as the waitress acknowledged their gesture.
"Sweet! Now that that's out of the way–," she turned her attention back to their table to find a dismayed-looking Takuya staring at her.
"What? I'm hungry."

And yet I never thought we were two peas in a pod, and then you suddenly bloomed and I knew, that I’d always love you.

Izumi couldn't help but chuckle. He just looked so proud of his joke.
"Very clever Takyua. Did you come up with that one yourself?"

"I don't know Takuya. What happens?"
"Hey, Izumi."
"… What happens if a Norwegian robot analyzes a bird?"

She found him staring at a particular flower, standing still and serious, a slight frown apparent on his face – not what she had expected to see him doing. Wasn't he all smiles and sunshine a little while ago? Did something happen? And what were those flowers anyway? Her curiosity was sparked. The girl jumped behind a shelf of pots and plants, and made sure she was out of his sight, before she peeked out and observed him some more.
He wore an expression not very common to her eyes. His had his brows furrowed, with lips pursed and turned slightly downwards. It might have only seen him genuinely upset when they were in the Digital World. This, in a unexplainable way was different. Takuya always expressed his anger and frustrations externally with a burning and fiery passion. He seemed so reticent standing there with that serious look.
'This is so not like Takuya. Not one bit.'
A thought occurred to her. It was like when they were walking here... That little slip up; that fraction of a moment where the little goggle-head spoke like a young man.
Had she been so busy with Taichi, so caught up with her relationship that she hadn't noticed how much her best friend matured?
She was now staring at him with fresh eyes. All this time, she'd been seeing Takuya like that 11 year-old boy she met in the Digital World all those years ago. He was always that idiot, much too hot-tempered, silly, recklessly and stupidly brave goggle-head. Five years had gone by... Had she really been ignorant enough to believe he was the same as before?
Izumi slipped out of her hiding spot, still careful to be out of her friend's field of view, and made her way behind him.
Her hand reached out to his shoulder, but she hesitated.
'Have I really been that out of touch? That disconnected?'
As she glanced down at the rose in her hand, a pang of guilt bubbled in her gut. What was he feeling? Would he tell her? Was he frustrated that she refused to see the person he'd grown to be? What if this had nothing to do with her at all?
Conflicted, she willed her hand to give him a tap on his shoulder, her usual bubbly smile waiting for him to turn around.
Silver Lining;

"Alright, alright. I'll let Nurse Kouichi take care of my knee," she quipped, sighing dramatically for effect.
She watched with an amused expression as he tried to convince the dog to obey him. Finally, after a call from his temporary owner, the canine padded over to him and graciously accepted the affectionate gesture.
A small giggle escaped her when she saw her friend's dorky and victorious grin. 'He sure must have some history with Kouji's dog,' she thought amusingly to herself.
Now, off to Kouichi's~!
--
The walk had been pleasantly peaceful. Very quiet, but nevertheless enjoyable. Though she preferred some conversation, she had gotten used to the twins' quiet demeanour. There was a strange feeling of comfort associated with their silent, yet observant presence. Anyway, they had arrived at their destination.
Izumi stepped into the house after Kouichi's invitation and took a seat on the couch, taking great care not to get icky blood anywhere. His living room was simple, yet it had a very warm atmosphere – cozy.
While waiting for her friend, she took the time to examine her knee. It really wasn't serious. Kouichi was fussing over her for nothing. 'Ah, well. It's nice to be taken care of like this,' she thought with a shrug. At least it meant he cared for her right? That alone was a nice thought. And she would do the same for him if the situation was reversed.
A Favoured Accident
You’d think keeping a dog under control shouldn’t be so difficult, but in Koichi’s case it was. As Izumi handed him the leash back he just grinned awkwardly at her words, knowing that the dog rarely bothered to care about his words. He took the leash again and crouched down in front of the dog. “Come on boy, let’s go,” he said calmly, but the dog didn’t move a muscle. It just stared at Koichi as if wondering what he was implying. “Please?” Koichi pleaded as he was now standing up straight again, pulling a little in the leash.
He sighed and then looked over at Izumi. “Well a gash is still a gash Izumi, I’m not going to let you walk around like that,” he replied her and smiled warmly. Besides, if the dog decided to stay put where he was they weren’t likely to get anywhere in the nearest future anyway. Shifting his gaze from Izumi to the dog again, Koichi patted his thighs in hope that the dog would come to get some cuddling. “Come here boy!” Thankfully the dog decided that this didn’t look all that bad and got up from Izumi’s feet, bumped his head into the awaiting palm of Koichi, and received a quick petting from the boy.
"Now I am, let’s go." Koichi couldn’t help but to smile a bit triumphantly, considering that this was the quickest time he had gotten that dog to listen to him since he had started watching him.
They walked along the sidewalk for a good fifteen minutes before they reached Koichi’s home. The walk had been peaceful, perhaps too quiet? Stepping up at his doorstep he unlocked the door and gestured for Izumi to enter. “Just take a seat,” he said and smiled to her.
