Just realized that the reason I love making friends on tumblr is because it’s exactly how you make friends on the playground as a six year old. No, I don’t know their name but they love mermaids too and built this awesome sand castle. No, I don’t know their age but their imaginary cheetah is friends with mine. You like this show? You like this character?? You can sing the theme song really loud??? Here is a flower crown. Here is a juice box. You can share my time and I might never see you again but part of you stays in my soul forever. In my mind we’re still on the swing set and the sky is blue and nothing will ever be wrong again.

IT FEELS SO LONG AGO , but at the same time , not long ago at all --- the illicit trysts between classes , the smirks & the raised eyebrows , the promises & words unsaid & all that victoria sponge . fifteen years gone in the blink of an eye & harry remembers it all .

being with theo was hard , maybe one of the hardest things he'd ever done . but he hadn't realised it at the time because he'd had nothing to compare it to ; no one else to show him , hey , this isn't what a relationship is supposed to be . hey , this isn't how two people act when they love each other . it's not like he had PARENTS to do that .

& then , like the sun coming out from behind a storm that had lasted so long , harry might have forgotten what its warmth had felt like : ron .

( & loving ron is so , so easy , too easy , that harry thinks he might have loved him this whole time . )

harry thinks about this life they've built , the house in godric's hollow , ron coming to hug him from behind in his office that overlooks the garden , little hugo ( though , not so little anymore , blimey , where has the time gone ? ) set to receive his hogwarts letter next year , & he has his answer .
