how to get a boy to like you (billy's exact advice was, 'tell him he's lucky you're even talking to him' and then 'if he doesn't pay for a date, kick him in the balls')

how to get a boy to stop liking you (billy gives max one of his many, many knives and tells her, 'if he looks at you funny or tries something, jab him a couple times')

how to do your hair (billy shakes his can of hairspray at her and says, 'spray until you can't breathe and then keep on fuckin' spraying until you can't see your reflection and pray you'll be half as hot as me')

how to act when you get dumped (max nearly ralphs when billy's driving donuts in steve's front lawn because 'steve's a pansy ass bitch,' billy tells her white-knuckling the wheel and clearly trying not to have a complete breakdown while steve's leaning on the front door's frame, unimpressed, fake yawning, tapping his watch, rolling his eyes to crack the back of his skull, and giving billy the look)

Tbh Rey wouldn't know how to interact with Jess when they meet (even though Jess has been flirting the whole time, with Poe as her motivational cheerleader )because she's a feral child who lived in the desert her whole life and hasn't really learnt "How To Impress Girls 101". But see after a while she works out this funny feeling in her tummy is because she really likes Jess and the only way she can think to act on it is by trying low-key to impress her by floating shit (in true Anakin style) at her when she's working on her X-Wing or something. And Jess just shakes her head because 'look at this turnip, she's floating wrenches around my head' and figures that the only way Rey is going to clue into her affections is if she's upfront about how she feels. Cue Jess getting her shit together and announcing there on the spot that she proper fancies her, and Rey promptly dropping the wrench on her head because she legit did not see that coming, and 'holy shit floating objects at people really does make them like you'
