OMG, I was just lying on my stomach and my arm was underneath me because for some reason it didn't feel uncomfortable. And I was like that for a good while but I looked down at my arm a couple seconds ago AND IT LOOKED GREY

ISTG I HAVE NEVER SAT UP FASTER. The room I'm in is dark so it definitely wasn't actually grey but I can tell you for sure it was NOT the colour it was supposed to be 😭

Second up in the series is 'Warhorse.' This was actually the prototype of this style of art for me, I was still getting used to digital and was really trying hard to get clean lines and good but slightly stylised anatomy. So when I'm sketching/starting out, I usually work from one place outwards if that makes sense. I don't fully sketch out my design before I start - I actually planned on this being a praying mantis if I remember correctly haha. I was listening to a lot of 'running for tomorrow' by the band Praying Mantis, so yknow.

Anyway, I have a buddy in a band called 'horse Divorce', which was the sequel band to their previous one 'drugs for horses'. As I was making the piece, I was thinking about them and their vibe, and figured 'hey, I bet these nerds would like a piece of art like this' lmao. My friend loved it in the end!

So yeah! That's how I ended up in this style kinda! I really enjoy fusing realistic animals with trippy visuals!
